"Affordable option with private rooms in memory care"
We picked Morada Cy-Fair because it was cheaper than others and my loved one got her own private room in memory care. Even though it costs less, it's still pretty pricey. I’d suggest this place to other families.

"Great food and nice place; recommend to other families"
My loved one enjoys the food and doesn’t complain. It’s a nice place. Overall, I’m happy with my choice and would recommend it to other families.

"Good facility, but we needed independent living instead of assisted"
I liked Morada Cy-Fair. It’s more for assisted living, but we wanted independent living. They were very responsive and followed up with me.

"Mixed Experience with Information and Friendly Staff"
Our family visited the assisted living facility in person. The person showing us around didn't share much information, which was disappointing. But some of the staff, like the activities director, were really nice and welcoming.

"Good community, needed change after three years"
This community was good for our loved one for three years. However, we had to make a change for them.

"Quick and Spacious Assisted Living"
We picked Morada Cy-Fair because we needed a place fast, and they were ready to help right away. The rooms are spacious, but it's a bummer we have to schedule visits. Due to COVID, only two people can visit. Overall, I'd recommend it.

"Clean, friendly, fair value, activities offered, higher cost."
Morada Cy-Fair is a very clean community with nice residents and staff. Our loved one seems to be eating well, so no complaints about the meals. Although our loved one doesn't always join in the activities, they are offered. The value for cost is fair compared to other communities in the area but still on the higher side.

"Friendly, Clean Assisted Living with Good Food and Activities"
Remember to jot down your questions and learn the community rules. It's clean, staff is friendly, food is good, and they have fun activities. I'd recommend it!

"Comfortable Living for Mom, Could Improve Housekeeping"
This place is pretty good for my mom. She seems happy there. Since she has late-stage Alzheimer's, it's crucial that she feels comfortable and isn't hurting, rather than focusing on things like her clothes being neat or if her bed is perfectly made. The cleaning staff could do a bit better because there are dust bunnies under her bed, but overall, it's a nice place considering what I pay.

"New Rules Upset the Living Arrangement for Elder with Dementia"
When my mom became a resident at Brookdale CyFair, she needed the support of two people to help move her in and out of her wheelchair due to her dementia. She was getting this care, but then management changed hands to a company named Atria. According to Atria's rules, having two-person assistance is not something allowed in their assisted living facilities. As a result, I'm being forced to find a new home for my mom. Moving patients like her, who need memory care, is not advised; adjusting to a new environment is incredibly challenging for them. We had initially settled here with the intention of it being mom's home for the rest of her life. This unwelcomed upheaval is causing a lot of unnecessary stress for my 90-year-old mom, who's already dealing with dementia.

"Assisted Living Needs Improvement"
My Dad stays here now. It used to be Brookdale but it's Atria now. Lately, the food isn't as good and the staff isn't as nice as they used to be. They got rid of two directors, so hopefully, things will get better.

"Disappointing experience at assisted living facility, lacking communication and care"
I'm really not happy with everything right now. I've had some problems with the staff and the care they're giving my loved one. When I visited recently, my loved one wasn't being properly cleaned and was having hygiene issues. A nurse told me she needs "extra care" for $500 more a month. What does that mean? Does she only get basic care? The nurse just kept saying she needs extra care without explaining. Also, none of the nurses caring for my loved one bothered to call me about her condition. I had to find out during a visit. Maybe it's because she's old or maybe it's the food, but no one investigated or told me what's going on. I don't like this lack of communication. Whenever I try to talk to that nurse, she's never available. And when she is, she's always defensive and pushy for me to sign papers for extra care. They also don't help my loved one find activities on site. If you ask where something is, they just say a certain wing without giving directions. They're supposed to have religious events like communion and rosary service, but they don't assist my loved one in finding them. It's frustrating to be in this situation and not hear back from them promptly. My loved one needs caring nurses; the staff here doesn't give us much information.
