"Terrible Facility; Unsanitary, Poor Food, and Lacks Supervision"
This facility is the worst. My family members suffered both mentally and financially from being here. It's dirty and lacks proper supervision. The meals are terrible. The lady who sold us on it was nice, but there are no other positives. It's truly a nightmare. There wasn't even enough supervision to stop someone from smearing feces on a wall near a resident's room, or all over the shared shower. My family member had to find a staff member to clean up the mess that had been left for over half the day. They also served hot dogs and chips for dinner, which was very disappointing. And I haven't even covered all the problems.

"Terrible assisted living facility with medication mishaps and lacking nursing staff"
This place is terrible for housing a loved one. You wouldn't even want to put your dog there. Working with the owner is a nightmare. Instead of keeping medications organized in their bottles, they're just dumped into bins. My family member was even restrained and given too many medications. Forget about having a nurse around - the only medical staff there are med techs. Even though my loved one needed more specialized care and had to leave, they still dared to send us a bill. The only bright spots are the director and assistant director, who are wonderful people. But there isn't any maintenance staff on site.

"Expensive, Poor Care and Dirty: An Assisted Living Nightmare"
My experience here was terrible and cost a fortune. I cannot suggest this place to anyone. The poor care they provided only made my family member's health go downhill. Dealing with this facility was like living in a bad dream. Despite having a pretty exterior, the inside is far from clean.

"Lack of Activities in Assisted Living Facility"
When we were there, it felt really gloomy. Every time I visited, most people were just watching TV. I didn't see much else happening, like activities or people interacting.

"Overall Good, Some Staffing Issues Resolved"
It's been good overall. There have been some problems with staff, but when we told them, they fixed it. The caregivers are just caregivers - they aren't nurses or medically trained. Overall, they seem pretty good at keeping things clean.

"Great Care, Hard to Reach Admins"
We picked Avalon Memory Care because they take great care of their residents, no matter what condition they’re in or how much help they need. The rooms are a good size. The only problem is that it’s hard to get in touch with the administrative staff. I would recommend this place to others.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
I give this place 2 stars for being clean. Luckily, we lived nearby so we could visit anytime. One Friday, we dropped by and found my 95-year-old father eating hot dogs with what seemed like chili. Soon after, he fell, and we had to move him somewhere with better supervision.

"Wonderful care and staff treated Dad like family. Highly trusted."
I want to share how amazing Avalon Memory Care was for us. My father stayed at Avalon, and I truly felt we made the right choice. When he was nearing the end, the staff came into his room to say goodbye. Two workers who weren’t even on duty that night came to see him. The staff treats their patients like family. I’m sure Dad was cared for like family. Avalon Memory Care in Arlington was excellent and trustworthy.

"Friendly staff and clean facility, but laundry needs improvement"
The only issue I have is with the laundry service. They’ve lost a few of her clothes, so it could be more efficient. Other than that, I’m very happy. The staff is super friendly, and the place is really nice and clean.

"Care Falls Short at Avalon Memory Care"
My mom doesn't have memory issues, but they said others didn't either. Not true. Mom's care didn't go well. She wasn't cleaned and had wet sheets. People are nice, place is nice, but care quality is bad. We were misled.

"Lovely place with great staff and fresh food"
The place is really nice! They have a lot of staff, with four staff for every 11-12 residents. It’s very clean, and the food is fresh, not frozen. It’s much better than where she was before. The activities are a big deal, they have a schedule but don’t always follow it. Other than that, I don’t have any complaints.

"Satisfactory Care at Avalon Memory Care"
My time at Avalon Memory Care has been positive. The staff works well, and they keep everything clean. I tried the food once, and it was quite tasty. My son seems to like it too. Overall, I am happy with their services.
