Avalon Memory Care - Carrollton

"Impressive, but too far for easy visits"
I did a virtual tour of Avalon Memory Care, and I was really impressed. The only downside is that it’s a bit too far for us to visit our loved one easily.

"brackets"
Mirabella Living was an older facility, and I found some of the rooms a little crowded/small.' then create a headline (in 10 words or less and placed in double ) .

"Better care, food needs improvement, great staff, good experience."
My husband is doing much better at Avalon than before. He’s eating better and the caregivers are really caring. They lost their chef, so the food isn’t as good as when he first moved in, but they’re doing their best. No place is perfect. [The lady in charge] is great and treats the residents like gold. Overall, it’s been a good experience.

"Great Care for Alzheimer’s and Memory Needs"
What I like most about this place is that they focus on Alzheimer’s and memory care. The staff has been great. The place is clean, and the meals are tasty from what I’ve heard. I also really like the open layout; it feels more like home. When my dad had to go to the hospital, a staff member always stayed with him until a family member arrived. So far, it’s been a good choice.

"Concerns at Carrollton Avalon Assisted Living; Improvements Expected Soon"
My mom had an accident at Carrollton Avalon after 10 days. She spent 2 1/2 days in the hospital. There have been lots of staff changes here, which isn't usual for Avalon Care Homes. They're trying hard to fix training and rules problems, but it'll take time. I think it's not the best time to bring a family member here in Carrollton. I hope things get much better in a few weeks.

"Disappointing Tour Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We visited this place while exploring care choices for a family member, and the tour wasn't pleasant. The person who showed us around was impolite and too eager to sell, making me feel uncomfortable, like a used car salesman. He also didn't treat the residents well, talking about them as if they weren't there and saying not to worry because "They can't understand me anyway!"

"Spacious, Relaxed, and Individual Care for Residents"
The facility is new and built for about 20 residents. The rooms are big with large, easy-to-use bathrooms. They’re the biggest we’ve seen so far. The atmosphere is relaxed, focusing on individual care.
