"Assisted Living Facility Needs Staff and Maintenance Improvement"
Corporate doesn't seem to care about this place. It's understaffed and overworked, which isn't good for the caretakers or residents. There are tons of excuses. The food is below average. They need to hire a chef and housekeepers because the poor staff can't do it all, especially when they're the only ones working. Raw sewage spills from the front yard, and the staff bathroom hasn't worked for 5 years. Love the caretakers, but hope they get help.

"Comfortable Home-Like Setting in Assisted Living Facility Chain"
This assisted living facility is located in a lovely country-style setting, just like a single home. It's part of a group in the DFW area. If you want a place that feels cozy and homely, this would be a great option for you.

"Helpful and Informative, Residential Approach to Evaluate"
It was really helpful and told us a lot about Avalon. He made us feel good about the company and the staff. We'll think about Avalon more. We just need to decide if the way they do things at Avalon is right for us.

"Informative and Comforting Experience at Avalon Assisted Living"
Staff was really helpful and told us a bunch of stuff about Avalon. It made us feel good about the company and the people who work there. We'll think about Avalon for sure. We just have to figure out if living there would work for us.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Experience in Flower Mound"
I was let down by this place. It didn't look clean. I heard an aide talking rudely to a hospice patient. Everyone was crowded together in the front room, watching a childish TV show. I wouldn't want to put my loved one here.

"Unimpressive Facility and Inattentive Staff at Flower Mound Location"
I wasn't impressed. The facility wasn't exactly spotless. I accidentally heard a helper talking rudely to a hospice patient, sounding uncaring. All the residents were clumped together in the front room, forced to watch a childish TV show, like a bunch of kindergarteners. Honestly, this isn't a place I'd ever think of sending a family member to. This review is only about the Flower Mound location though.

"Angels on Earth: Caring Staff at Avalon Are Amazing"
My husband recently moved from Autumn Leaves to Avalon. He has a tough personality, but I believe the cozy, smaller setting at Avalon will help him. Dementia is so challenging, and the caring staff there deserve more thanks than I can express. These caregivers are truly angels. Bless them all.

"Helpful and Honest Staff, But Couldn't Accept Feeding Tube"
Everything went smoothly when we talked. They were honest and clear when I asked questions. Talking with the staff gave me the right info to choose the best place for my loved one. However, they couldn't accept my loved one because they use a feeding tube.

"5 Stars All The Way!!"
I really like how the staff goes out of their way to make sure my loved one gets excellent care. My loved one is happy here; he truly loves this place. The caregiving staff always has a positive attitude, creating a warm family atmosphere. The meals they serve are fantastic—nutritious, tasty, and perfectly portioned.

"Amazing Care at Raintree"
My mom has been living at this amazing home on Raintree for over 3 years, and she has been well taken care of from day one. Recently, she had a fall, and the care she got from the staff was way beyond what I expected. They stayed with me at the hospital, worked with the hospital staff to make sure her medications were handled right, and were a huge comfort to me. She is back at her home on Raintree now, and our family is so relieved to have her there, surrounded by such a wonderful, caring staff. The staff at Raintree feels like family to me, and I can't say enough how grateful I am for everything they have done for my mom.

"Top-notch Assisted Living with a Personal Touch"
I've been taking care of my elderly relatives for 15 years. They had different health issues and needed various levels of care. When my 91-year-old mother-in-law had a stroke and needed full-time care, we knew what to look for. Avalon in Flower Mound is the best place we've found. The staff is friendly, the meals are home-cooked, and the setting is peaceful. They treat residents with dignity. The director knows each resident and their family personally and makes sure all their needs are met. This is a great place with a great staff. Highly recommend it!

"Water Access and Staff Attitudes Need Improvement at Avolon Memory Care"
At Avolon Memory Care, I think the residents should get water more often, not just at meal times. Some staff yell at the patients and seem to want them to sit down all the time. They even make fun of them if they drop something. I’d like it better if the staff asked the residents if they needed anything instead of waiting for them to get up and then yelling. Besides that, I’m very happy with the place overall.

"Avalon Raintree: A Great Place for Care and Happiness"
After a tough time at a group home in Hot Springs, AR, I moved my mom to Avalon Raintree. I’m so impressed with how much better she’s doing now. She talks more and seems much happier. She’s always been very social and loves everyone who works there and lives there. Irene, the house manager, is fantastic. She cares about every resident and makes sure they’re well looked after. They have amazing caregivers who look after my mom. They keep the rooms clean, do laundry, prepare meals, and make sure my mom is up and dressed early each day. She’s in a wheelchair, so she relies on them for everything. It’s such a relief to know she’s in good hands, and I’m very grateful for their care.

"Avalon gave excellent care and support for my mom’s needs."
Avalon was the only place that could help my mom. I called over ten places, and Avalon was the only one that could take her in quickly, especially since we were in a rush due to her hospital discharge. My mom was being really difficult. She refused her medication, argued with caregivers, and caused problems with other patients. I was really scared because I didn’t know what would happen if I couldn’t find a place for her. As soon as we arrived at Avalon, they took great care of her. Without Avalon and its helpful and friendly director, I don’t know what we would have done. The cost is a bit high, but it’s similar to other places. The caregivers are always friendly and smiling. The place feels very homey because it’s in a converted house, and the residents can personalize their own spaces. They managed to get my mom to take her medication, which the hospital couldn’t do. When I visit, the director always updates me on her condition. I’m very happy with Avalon and would recommend it to anyone needing similar services. The restrooms, kitchen, and rooms are kept clean.

"Avalon Provided Excellent Care and Support for My Mom"
Avalon was the only place willing to help my mom. I contacted over ten places, and Avalon was the only one ready to care for her, especially with a hospital discharge coming up. My mom was being tough—she wasn’t taking her medication, argued with caregivers (not physically), and caused problems with other patients. I was really worried about finding a place for her. If the hospital couldn’t handle her, what hope did I have? When we arrived at Avalon, they took great care of her immediately. Without Avalon and its friendly director, I don’t know what we would have done. The cost is a bit high but similar to other places. The caregivers are always friendly and smiling. The place feels very homey (it’s in a converted house), and residents can personalize their spaces. They got my mom to take her medication when even the hospital couldn’t. The director always updates me during my visits. I’m very happy with Avalon and would recommend it to anyone needing this type of care. The restrooms, kitchen, and rooms are kept clean.

"Feels Just Like Home, Not a Facility"
This place feels more like a real home than a facility. The environment is cozy and welcoming, not like a hospital at all. There are TVs and couches, and it really looks like a home. The food also looks good.

"Assisted Living Disappointment"
I heard this place was top-notch, but it's not good at all. Even if it's not dirty, it looks dirty. Everything's old and worn out. Even the main caregiver didn't seem clean. It doesn't look neat and tidy.

"Lacking Cleanliness: Facility Presents Worn-Out, Untidy Appearance"
People said this place was top-notch, but honestly, I wouldn't leave my dog here. It might not be actually dirty, but it sure seems that way. The place is old and beaten up, with worn, outdated furniture. Even the lady whose job it is to take care of folks didn't seem very tidy. Overall, it lacked a clean, fresh, organized look.

"Lack of Privacy and Belonging in Assisted Living"
No, the care might've been okay, but she wouldn't get any privacy. She needed her independence, and they said she had to use a special seat in the restroom. The place was too small, and it felt like she didn't belong.

"Limited Privacy and Space at Assisted Living Facility"
Simply put, the care could have been great, but personal space was lacking. The lady was at a point where she valued her privacy and it was important for her self-reliance. It was stated that she'd need to adjust the lift seat every time she visited the bathroom, which wasn't realistic for her. Most residents were in hospice care and the facility was just too tight. She wouldn't have gotten the feeling of having a little corner of the world just for her.

"Experienced in Dementia/Alzheimer Care with Room for Improvement"
We picked Avalon because they’ve been around for a long time and really know their stuff about Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Their expertise makes them stand out. They have a small living room with a TV where residents watch. They could offer more engaging activities, but they do have some limits.

" Cozy, personalized assisted living with attentive staff and home-cooked meals. "
This small care home, accommodating around 11 residents, offers an intriguing concept. The staff, with their remarkable tenure, mostly exceeding 10 years, exude kindness. They engage in plentiful individual interactions, and the meals, all home-cooked, look delightful. Residents can enjoy the outdoor pool during the summer, with individual access granted. While the setting is lovely, it may be a tad distant for visitors from church, albeit manageable. The care provided is highly personalized, catering to a diverse range of needs among residents. Activities and support are tailored accordingly. On the downside, cleanliness could be improved, with some cobwebs noted. However, the bathrooms appear well-maintained. Rooms are fully personalized, creating a homely atmosphere, albeit not necessarily resembling a magazine cover. The living area lacks flair, and the kitchen seems to face some maintenance issues. The facility accommodates residents until the end of life, provided round-the-clock nursing isn't necessary. Additional staff are discouraged to maintain an in-house approach to care. Video monitors are installed in certain rooms, and the office, though located upstairs, doesn't intrude on the living area. Overall, it's a place worth considering.
