"Disappointed Experience at Avalon-Garland Assisted Living Facility"
I paid upfront for May and got charged extra for April. They took money without permission. They made promises but broke them. Staff didn't care about my husband's well-being. They messed up medication records. I complained to officials about their bad behavior. They still want more money for services they didn't provide. It's not fair. They misled me about their abilities to handle my husband's needs.

"Best choice for assisted living with great manager communication"
I visited many assisted living places, and Avalon Memory Care stood out as the best choice. The manager was really understanding and communicated very well.

"Positive Experience at Avalon Memory Care - Garland"
The tour at Avalon Memory Care - Garland was really good. The person in charge of marketing and the staff were all nice people. They showed us around the community well. During the tour, they only talked about the good things, and you might not hear about the problems until your loved one moves in. But we liked what we saw during the tour.

We didn't like this place much. Nobody toured us as planned, so we had to tag along with a surprised caregiver. She tried her best but some questions were too tough for her. The place seemed okay, but we couldn't get all the info we wanted.

"Good Care but Marketing Mix-Up"
We were only disappointed because there was a mix-up with the time to talk to the marketing person. A friendly caregiver showed us everything we wanted to see. This place is smaller and pays more attention to residents who can't move around much or have limited abilities. Everyone seemed attentive and it was clean.

"Found the perfect room and caring staff when needed"
This place had the perfect room when we needed it. They acted quickly to get my wife in, and the room they showed us was just what we wanted. I’m very happy with the staff—they know all the residents by name and pay attention to what my wife likes and doesn’t like. The community is tucked away and well-organized. I would recommend this place to other families.

"Preparedness Makes Perfect for Elderly Care"
We checked out this place for taking care of older people. When we chatted with the workers, they seemed a bit mixed up. They didn’t realize we were going to visit and didn’t give many answers. The place was neat, and the food choices looked good. We think this spot is a good pick for someone’s older family member to get care. But, the place should probably get ready better. We suggest that other families double-check that the workers can be there to talk and help out when they need it.

"Compassionate Help Made Moving Mom Stress-Free"
I can’t thank Matt, Judy, and the Avalon Garland team enough. My family was overwhelmed with everything about moving Mom from her home of 50 years into assisted living. One call to Matt and his team cleared up all our issues and worries. He made everything so easy and reassured us at every step. Matt is always there to answer even the smallest questions. Mom feels safe and happy at Avalon. Thanks, Matt. You reminded me that kind and caring people are still out there.

"Top-Notch Care and Beautiful Facility"
Avalon is a lovely place with plenty of room and great features. It’s clean and well-maintained. The staff is amazing, showing real kindness while taking care of everyone. The care here is top-notch.

"Staff is Incredibly Helpful and Makes Everything Great"
From the start at Avalon Memory Care, the staff has been amazing. They even helped get her settled before we finished all the paperwork. We were worried this would be a tough process, but the staff made it great. I’m really impressed with everything here and very happy with both the facility and the staff.

The place is super clean, and the staff really cares. Overall, it’s great. I wish residents could go outside more, though.

"Going the Extra Mile for Residents"
They’ve been around for about 20 years. They’re really trying hard to deal with the challenging behaviors that come with advanced dementia and Alzheimer’s. They don’t just send residents to a psychiatric ward when things get tough. It’s still early, but I’m quite happy with their effort.
