"Recommended Assisted Living for Loved Ones with Memory Care Needs"
My family member stayed at Avalon Memory Care Tuckerton. Overall, she had a good experience there. I think Avalon Memory Care Tuckerton would be a good choice for other people looking for a place like this.

"Improvements Needed: Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The room was nice, and the staff was friendly. But there were some problems. The Nurse/Director wasn't good, and communication was bad. I had to call a lot to get information. They often served dinner without vegetables. When I told them, they said nobody really eats the vegetables. They need to communicate better and be more professional. Some CNAs wore biker shorts and SpongeBob T-shirts. They might need more nurses around. The nurse usually left by 3:30 pm, so there was a lot of time without supervision. They lost my dad's clothes and kept saying they were in the wash. But they were actually in other residents' rooms. They sometimes took my dad to meals in his pajamas and no shoes. This made him feel embarrassed. He wouldn't have done that himself. Once, my dad got a skin tear, and they just put a bandaid on it without cleaning it. We paid $[removed] monthly, but his dessert was just a Little Debbie's pound cake. Despite this, I appreciated the kindness of the CNAs toward my dad.

"Hygiene and Care Lacking at Avalon Memory Care"
Avalon Memory Care Tuckerton lacks proper medical training. The nurse isn’t always reachable. My loved one suffered a severe skin infection due to poor hygiene. The food served lacks necessary calories. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend it.

"Poor Supervision and Communication; Dad Ended Up Hospitalized"
I feel like people should know that the supervision here isn't good. Maybe they need to hire more staff because the ratio of staff to clients is bad. One time when I visited my dad, I found him on the floor. He fell at least three times there, and the staff didn't tell us. They didn't even tell hospice when he fell. The communication was terrible, and the supervision was terrible too. Eventually, my dad got a really bad foot infection and ended up in the hospital. We had to move him straight from there to a new facility.

"Caring Staff, Small Team Concerns at Avalon Memory Care"
I visited Avalon Memory Care, and it felt like being with family. The staff did everything just like family members would. They took care of residents, cooked, and did laundry. There was a big living area, kitchen, and dining space. However, I didn't like that they combined residents' laundry. Also, only three staff members worked at a time, which worried me. What if they all got sick together.

"Avalon Falls Short on Activity"
I wasn't very impressed with Avalon. Everyone seemed zonked out, and I didn't see anyone being active.

"Poor Care and Communication; Not Recommended for Loved Ones"
This place isn't good for people's family. They didn't take good care of my family member when they were there. The workers don't know how to help with medical stuff. They make old people walk to the bathroom even if they can't really walk. The boss didn't help with getting papers to the right places for my family member. Other workers told me that no papers got sent, even though the boss said they did.

"Inconsistent Service and Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't have someone to help you sign up. At first, they were nice, but I had to ask them to clean up the room left by the person before. They cleaned it once and never did it again. We had lots of problems. They didn't talk to us well. It felt more like a home for a bunch of people. I had to remind them to give the residents veggies. When I visited, they wore strange clothes or clothes that weren't theirs. They lost a bunch of his clothes. It's a small and quiet place, and the staff were really nice, but my time there wasn't so good.

"Mixed experience touring assisted living, friendly staff, possible staffing shortage."
Our family initially did a virtual tour because of COVID rules, but when the communities reopened, we visited in person. The tour was nice. Everyone was really friendly and greeted us warmly. However, we noticed there weren't many caregivers on the floor, maybe because they didn't have enough staff due to the pandemic.

"Inconsistent Pricing at Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility costs $4,500 per month, with an additional $300 for incontinence care. They provide assistance up to hospice, but the pricing remains unclear as her condition changes.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
I visited this place, and it was clean and pleasant. The staff seemed friendly, but it’s a smaller community. I worried she wouldn’t be active enough there, and the cost exceeded our budget. Still, it’s a nice community.
