"Nice staff, limited diabetic options; still recommend for families"

The staff at Silver Leaf are really nice and patient with our loved one. They don’t have a full menu for diabetic diets, but we still recommend this place to other families.

"Understaffed Assisted Living with Cleanliness Issues"

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My mom complained a lot about them running out of food. The building didn't seem very clean, and their dog kept going to the bathroom in certain spots. They had 8 residents with only 2 caregivers, but those caregivers did quite well with what they had. The location wasn't ideal for me either.

"Charged for Unused Services at Lavendelle: No Refunds Allowed"

My mom passed away just five weeks after moving into Lavendelle. While the staff was super kind and caring towards her, the higher-ups have disappointed me severely. They billed me $4200 on top of a $1000 fee for the first month and then an additional $4200 for only one week. To make matters worse, they refused to refund the payment for the remaining three weeks which we did not even use. Their excuse? It's their policy not to refund money. If my mom had stayed longer, I'd only be asking for the unused weeks. But now, I also want part of the $1000 fee back. I should've been more careful when signing the papers but I assumed they'd be as fair as other homes we'd used before. Their upper management has shown that they don't really value honesty like they claim. It's pretty hard to stomach paying for care my mom didn't get. It cost almost $10,000 for only five weeks.

"Caring Home with Minor Outside Maintenance"

We're happy with this care home. They treated my loved one well, especially with meals. The caregivers are attentive and well-trained. The home is clean, although the outside needs a little maintenance. I'd recommend it.

"Lack of Compassion at Clean Facility"

We picked Lexington Place when we really needed help. During our visit, they seemed great. The place was super clean and the people working there looked like they knew what they were doing. But once he moved in, things got bad fast. He used to walk with a little help, but soon, he was just sitting in a wheelchair, not really there. He got upset easily when he first got there, and I think they gave him too much medicine. I saw a lot of other people there who looked the same way. The biggest problem was that nobody seemed to care. They were all about business and didn’t show any warmth. When we tried to talk about the problems we saw with how he was being treated, they got defensive. They didn’t make us feel like they’d take good care of him or anyone else. Even the hospice nurses who came to see him said the staff didn’t want to help and weren’t acting right. We only kept him there for a little while before he got really sick, and sadly, he died soon after we took him out. The people at Lexington Place didn’t even say they were sorry. When we asked if we could get some money back because he wasn’t there long, they just told us to look at the contract. Our time at Lexington Place wasn’t good at all, and I wouldn’t tell anyone to go there. They might be okay at taking care of people, and the place is clean, but nobody there seemed to have a heart, and that ruined everything for us.
