"Great place, but food needs improvement"

My loved one lives at Bethesda Gardens Frisco. The only issue, which isn't too bad, is he doesn't like the food that much. Sometimes, it also takes a long time to be served. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. This is my opinion, not his, but I think we agree. We believe this is a good place to be. Very few places are perfect, but he is pretty happy here with no other suggestions besides improving the food and adding more food service workers. Many residents have commented on the food.

"Caregivers lack kindness; nice residents, but wouldn't recommend for mom."

The people living there are friendly, but the staff isn't. Overall, I wouldn't pick this place for my mom again.

"Nice community but too far from family."

The community here is nice. However, it's far from my family.

"Better Than Before"

The leaders, staff, and families need better communication. The entertainment isn't great, but they do play games. My mom wants a book club. The food started well but declined after revamping. The business manager is friendly and responsive. They're refurbishing the facility, which will be nice when done. Overall, it's better than her previous place.

"Dim Interior and Ongoing Renovations"

We picked this place as our second option. The inside felt dim, and they were renovating, which was the downside.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Choice"

We visited in person, and while the amenities were similar to another option, this place felt a bit pricier. The community was okay, but it didn’t give us that strong feeling for our loved one.

"Friendly Staff, Old Exterior, Good Communication"

We couldn’t tour inside because of COVID, but the staff was really nice and still keeps in touch. The outside of the facility looks old.

"Great care and engaging activities make this place wonderful"

The care is great, and they always watch out for the residents. They have found ways to get my loved one involved in the activities. Overall, it's a really nice place for your loved one.

"Reliable and Caring Assisted Living: A Blessing in Hard Times"

"We chose Bethesda because it's one floor, smaller, and faith-based. It's been a lifesaver. My loved ones moved in, and soon after, my father passed away. The staff are caring towards my mother, checking on her often. They understand her situation and offer strong support. The care is excellent—they handle all her meds, relieving me from refills. They're diligent and respond quickly whenever she needs assistance. I'm pleased with how they interact with her."

"Clean Community, Friendly Staff, Average Rooms, Overpriced, Okay Food"

The place is mostly clean, but our loved one's room could be better. I'd rate it a 3 out of 5. People there are nice. Rooms are fine but cost too much. Food is just okay.

"Great community with friendly people and spacious rooms"

I picked this place because the community is a good size, and the rooms are bigger than the others we saw, which gives more privacy. The food could be better, but it's still decent. The best thing about living here is meeting the other residents—they're all really nice. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place to others.
