"A Comfortable Plan B for Local Seniors"
I would prefer to stay at home, but I can't anymore. Brookdale is a nice place and a good alternative. It's small, and many residents are from nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful, which eases pressure on my family.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Some Food Concerns"
Brookdale Farmers Branch has been a great place for my mother-in-law! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. It's a one-story facility with plenty of planned activities. On the downside, some people complain about the food, but I can't confirm that personally. The management turnover has been frequent, but they recently filled the permanent position.

"Too expensive"
It was too expensive. The prices listed on their web site are about $800/ month, these prices are lower than their actual price. We weren't even offered a tour of the facility. He did give a few suggestions on possible VA benefits. Dogs were okay with pet care.

"Warm and cozy assisted living, like a big family."
This place is really nice. It's not too big, which makes it feel cozy. The people who work here are super friendly. The rooms look really comfy, and the dining room is nice too. I like how everyone knows each other, it feels like a big family.

"Could Be Better With Improved Staff and Cleaner Environment"
My close friend lives in the memory care area here. At first, it seemed like a nice place, but after so many changes in staff, it's not that great anymore. Every time I visit him, there might be one staff person over there. The room smells really bad and most of the people there smell the same way. All in all, this place could use some work. It would be great if the staff were friendlier and cared more about the people living there, not just clocking in and out for their shift.

"Mixed feelings about Brookdale Farmers Branch"
When I was thinking about Brookdale Farmers Branch as a home for my family member, it didn't give me a good feeling. There were two men, one was really nice but the other made some comments that weren't ok at all. It was already a tough time for me and my family because we had just lost somebody really close to us. The thought of having to talk to the staff there about any problems just didn't sit right with me.

"Assisted Living Facility Honest About Care Needs"
The people who worked here were really nice and helpful. They told us straight away that they couldn't take care of my husband properly because they didn't have the right setup. I liked that they were honest with me. The place seemed clean and had a friendly vibe.

"A Good Tour, But Not Perfect for Mom"
I visited Brookdale Farmers Branch, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. They showed me around the place, and it looked clean. It’s a nice facility, but maybe not the best fit for my mom.

"Great Place for Dad: Tour Impressed, Courtyard Beautiful"
I went to check out this place, and I really liked it. It seems like a nice spot for someone to live. I thought about maybe having my dad stay here. The person who showed me around was really nice and seemed to care. The outdoor area in the middle was kept up well and looked really nice.

This place is nice. The staff is friendly and great. The food didn’t always make him happy, but they did offer lots of fun activities. We’d recommend this community for the excellent care and value.

"Okay facility with nice staff, inconsistent leadership and mediocre dinner."
My mom lived here for around a year and a quarter. During this period, they had 3 different head bosses. They were all pleasant, but the changeover was quite frequent. They also told us they'd do certain things when we first moved in, but they clearly didn't plan on fulfilling those promises. Even so, things ended up okay, though it could have gone horribly wrong. I must admit, though, my mom's caretakers were brilliant and seemed to genuinely like her. The dinner food isn't too good, but it's okay for the rest of the day. If your loved one enjoys eating a lot, they may struggle.

"Long Carpeted Halls and Outdoor Courtyards in Assisted Living"
This place has long, carpeted hallways with things to touch and look at on the walls. Outside each door, there's a short life story about the person living there. For people with memory problems, there's a small courtyard, but there's also a bigger one for group activities. This bigger courtyard has a pond, birds, and a gazebo. However, the storage shelves inside are made out of wire.

"Affordable with Excellent Staff; Potential for Roommate Friendship"
This place can start at $1400 a month, but if you need extra help, it might be $1000 more each month. Elizabeth, one of the staff, is really good. They ask for a $1500 community fee, but this month it was $1000. There are 45 people living here. I think they might ask for another $1000 to $1300 for the things my mom needs. Maybe someday she'll have a roommate and it'll be like having a friend.

"Liked the Place & Price, But Lacked Care and Therapy Facilities"
I enjoyed the place's dimensions, the folks, and the price. However, there were several disappointing criticisms about a shortage of caregivers to look out for and assist the elderly residents. Additionally, the physical therapy area was practically missing.
