"“Assisted Living: A Hostage Situation?”"
The staff taking care of us need to step up their game when it comes to handling our health issues. And when they’re interviewing new patients, they should really assess them better. Just because they fill up beds doesn’t mean everyone’s a good fit for assisted living. People should be able to manage on their own with just a little supervision. Also, the supervisor shouldn’t scare family members by threatening extra charges for individual services. And they definitely can’t keep you against your will.

"Clean, friendly, fair value, activities offered, higher cost."
Morada Cy-Fair is a very clean community with nice residents and staff. Our loved one seems to be eating well, so no complaints about the meals. Although our loved one doesn't always join in the activities, they are offered. The value for cost is fair compared to other communities in the area but still on the higher side.

"A Comfortable and Caring Community"
My dad seems to be adjusting well to living in the memory care area of this community. The caregivers are helpful and encouraging. They keep the community, my dad's room, and the grounds nice and clean. Dad hasn't complained about the food. There were some problems at the start with communication between departments, but they have been fixed. I would recommend this community.

"Nice place but not ideal for small eaters or room distance"
The Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe was a really nice place. Everyone there was very friendly to us. However, we didn't like that we had to pay for three meals a day. My mom doesn't eat that much, and we wanted a place where we could choose not to pay for meals. Also, the room they showed us for my mom was too far from the dining room.

"Convenient and Comfortable Assisted Living with Great Value"
This place is really close to my house, which is awesome. The building looks cool; it's like a square with a garden in the middle, and it has nice paths, trees, and bird feeders. The rooms are all a good size, and the kitchen area is better than other places I've seen. The dining area, food options, and things to do are just as good as other places, but this one costs less. I think it's a great deal for the money, and I'd be happy for my mom to live here.

"A Friendly Place Where You Feel Right at Home"
The staff here is super nice and made my mother feel right at home. The place is cozy and doesn’t feel like a hotel. It’s somewhere you’d want to stay. Most of the other residents are really friendly and happy to welcome newcomers. They even have a program where existing residents help new ones get used to the place. The price is fair, and the management is very helpful. I highly recommend this place.

We are happy with the care at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe. The staff listens to my concerns and keeps me updated about my loved one’s care. The community is clean and pleasant. There has been a lot of changes with the director and staff, and getting prescription help took a while due to a lack of a clear plan.

"A Caring Home with Great Staff for Your Loved One"
My mom has been living at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe for about 2 years now. Even though she's very shy and quiet, the staff and other residents made her feel welcome and at home right from the start. I have to admit that a year ago, when they were transitioning from Emeritus to Brookdale, things were a bit rough, but I think that's normal for such changes. Everything is great now, though. Recently, after a hospital stay, mom has needed more help than usual. I am very grateful to all the staff for their hard work, from the nurses to the food service people, the guy who cleans her room every week, and everyone else. It shows that the director has hired such a caring and professional team. If you're searching for a place for your loved one, I know it’s tough, but Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe has made it much easier for us. We love our mom very much but couldn't care for her ourselves because we needed a place that could meet all her needs 24/7. This place has been a blessing for us. Thank you to Norma, Carina, Elsa, Mary, Mary Alice, Dorothy, Pat, Lita, LaDonna, Marisa, and everyone else whose names my mom might forget but who are always so kind and caring to her.

"Beware of Brookdale: A Greedy, Filthy, and Dishonest Facility!"
This facility is all about money, filth, and lies! My dad's room was infested with cockroaches. As for my mom's room, it was a total disaster. Diarrhea stains spread across her carpet and wall, left uncleaned for months. The memory care unit completely lacked supervision. The residents wandered aimlessly because no one is watching over them. Dad was ignored, not given a bath, a change of clothes, or new bed sheets for weeks. Shockingly, there were often only two caregivers for 30 residents! Somehow, the facility's nurse, who is only an LVN, quit her job after a few months of working there, only to be rehired as an Executive Director the following week! It makes you wonder if it's bribery, blackmail, or just the way Brookdale does business. About their glorified tours: keep in mind, it's a sales pitch. Think of Casey as a sneaky used car salesperson trying to sell you a bad car on a good day. Please ignore all reviews before April 2015. Brookdale bought this facility from a caring place, Emeritus. My opinion about this place has dramatically changed since then!

"So far, so good."
Things have been going well so far. They organized a family night, but unfortunately, some people got sick from the food. My only other concern is that the nurse in charge needs reminders to complete tasks. It took quite a while to start therapy, but my loved one is enjoying their time there and getting along with others. The billing process has been smooth. We chose this place because it seemed less depressing than the other options we considered.

"Persistent Problems in Assisted Living Facilities Highlighted"
My mother-in-law has been living in this facility for a few years now. The meals they serve are usually cold and lacking in flavor. The old activity director, who was both popular and good at his job, was unfortunately fired. Activities, which are super important, need better planning by someone experienced. There've been many mistakes with giving out the right medicine, probably because they can't keep good workers in that field, or any field for that matter. Even though they spruced up the place, basic chores like changing outdoor bulbs have been taken lightly. It's often tough to get back into the building at night. I wish Brookdale would speak directly with the residents about these issues rather than just dealing with the higher-ups.

"Downhill Quality, No Director, Numerous Issues: Don't Recommend"
This place has really gotten worse in the past year. All the good managers left and now there's no director at all. They're working on hiring one, but in the meantime, we're seeing major issues with things like medication handling, billing, cleanliness, communication, and maintenance. The nursing staff really do care, but they're extremely busy because they're short-staffed and there's nobody managing things. I really wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Accommodating and Friendly Assisted Living with Behavioral Support"
They're really good, but when my mom's behavior got out of hand, they couldn't handle it. So, she had to go to a special unit. But now she's back, and they've trained their staff to deal with her. I thought they would've had this training already, but I guess not. We had to get private rooms again because of her behavior. Emeritus tried hard to help and make her feel welcome. They were really flexible and nice. We're really happy with them.

"Bigger Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
This place was quite big and allowed its residents more freedom than your usual assisted living. Unfortunately, there were a few mistakes with medication but it seemed like they were working to get better at that. We noticed a lot of new faces among the staff during our visit, which may be part of the problem. We didn't enjoy the meals that much. Still, I have to say the woman in charge is clearly committed and putting in her best efforts to solve these issues.

"Safe and Comfortable Assisted Living Facility with Some Room for Improvement"
This place is pretty comfy with lots of cool stuff to do. The people who work here are nice, but they seem to always be busy. If something needs fixing that's not an emergency, it might take a while because the guy who drives the community van also does maintenance. The food is alright, but I wouldn't say it's the best ever. Overall, it's a good and safe place to live, and it's in a good spot.

"Drop in Facility's Quality and Rising Costs"
We had to move my mother-in-law out of there due to the high expenses and the becoming worse standard of living. They weren't keeping things clean, their conduct wasn't amicable, and the food left much to be desired. Her room required a new paint job, it also needed fresh carpeting which they weren't offering. The place started deteriorating after new managers arrived and took over.

This is a pretty good place for retired people. They offer assisted living and even short term care. You can also get help from on-site therapists.
