"Food and service can be inconsistent, but overall it's fine"
Sometimes the food isn't very good. The staff changes a lot, which can make things like housekeeping and trash pick-up a bit slow, but it usually gets better and everything ends up being okay.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
Our family took a virtual tour of this place. It wasn't as nice as the others we checked out, but the communication was really good.

"Convenient and Friendly Assisted Living with Quality Food and Care"
I chose this place for my mom because it's close to my home. It's just a few minutes away. The people who work here are really nice, and they help my mom a lot. When she first came, she had trouble eating, but they try hard to find out what she likes. The food looks good, and they have many choices. If she doesn't like what they bring, they get her something else. It's a good place for families, and I would tell others about it.

"Lacked the Independent Housing We Desired"
The community was pleasant and equipped with lots of impressive features like well-furnished common rooms and beautiful grounds with plenty of places to relax. The food menu seemed good with many main dishes available. They offered several events to get involved in. The only drawback was the lack of detached houses or cottages, everything was in a single building.

"Nice Visit, But Over Our Budget"
My visit to this facility was fairly pleasant. The place seemed well-maintained and everyone was incredibly friendly. I enjoyed it, but it's too pricey for what we can afford.

"Glad I Chose Brookdale for My Mom's Care"
My mother has been living at Brookdale for about two weeks now. Even though she would rather be with me, she seems happy there. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. Whenever there's a problem, they don’t get defensive they just try to fix it. They have activities all day, though my mom hasn’t joined any yet. Still, they ask her if she wants to participate, so there’s a chance she might join in soon. Overall, I think this is a good place for elderly people.

"Friendly Staff but Not Suitable for My Parents"
The folks there were friendly and gave us a tour, showing that they knew a lot about the facility. However, I didn't notice many residents out and about doing activities. While I liked the place overall, it didn't seem like the right match for my mom and dad.

"Clean and Friendly, but Type A Concerned Us"
I visited Brookdale Holiday Lane Estates and saw that it was really clean and well-organized. The tour guide was super friendly and shared lots of details. We decided not to go with this place because it’s a Type A community, and I didn't want to move my dad if something changed.

"Mixed Feelings: It's Not the Worst, but Could Improve"
This nursing home had new owners come in back in 2015. Since then, it's been a mix of good and bad. The good stuff to start: The workers are pretty nice and they organize things like games, exercises, and bible studies for the residents. The living spaces are okay and the folks who clean are really good at their job. Everybody is pretty nice, and I haven't seen anyone working there be mean. Now for the not-so-good stuff: Even though the staff is really nice, they mess up a lot. The alarm on the back door doesn't usually work and some residents have wandered into the road. A few people have even gotten hurt, but the management seems to blame the residents instead of fixing the problem. If you bring up any troubles, they say the resident is too much trouble and make you move out. Also, they let you pay more for extra care. But it's a waste of money, because it never gets done. They treat each resident the same, no matter how much you pay. It's really best to bring in outside help instead. The food is, of course, pretty plain. If you can, bring some tasty food for your family member because eating the same stuff each day gets really dull. And one last thing, they use to do great big meal parties for Christmas and Thanksgiving. But that's changed with the new owners, now it's just cafeteria food. If possible, you should take your loved one home for holiday meals. But all in all, it's not the darkest place I've ever seen. The residents get some nice services like haircuts and many of them are pretty friendly. The staff, although not always smart, are very kind-hearted and do their best.

"Warm and Welcoming"
The people who work at Holiday Lane are really nice. When my parents moved in, everyone knew their names and said hello. The staff has been there for a long time, which makes me think they like working at Holiday Lane. It feels like a home, not just a place for assisted living. I'm confident my parents will get great care.

"Dissatisfied with Care and Activities at Assisted Living, but Stephanie Shines"
My folks have been living here for a bit. It's not as clean as it should be. Some folks are nice, but most of those looking after my mom aren't. They don't give her the right care. They could use more training. The cost of living here is fair, but it could be better. They give jobs to a lot of people who don't have the best attitudes and aren't always doing what they're supposed to do. The fun stuff they used to do has really taken a turn for the worse. They need more things to do. We pay a lot to live here, and I feel like it should be more fun. Some of the managers are good, especially Stephanie. She's really nice and friendly.

"Great Care and Friendly Staff!"
The folks at Brookdale NRH are amazing! I really appreciate Tonya, Stephanie, Lisa, and the entire staff for helping my mom adjust. She’s already told me she likes it here more than her previous place, and the food is a lot better. I believe she will get the care and rehab she needs after her stroke. Thanks again, Brookdale NRH!

"Amazing Care and Service with a Strong First Impression"
The people here are amazing and do a great job. They really want to help with anything you need and go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. I’ve only been here once, but I can already tell it’s a fantastic community! I would definitely recommend this place. I gave Value, Care Services, and Activities a 3 because I haven’t had a chance to experience those areas yet since I’ve only been here once.

"Awesome facility with garden-to-table meals, though a bit pricey"
The facility is really great. It's not often that residents get to help plant a vegetable garden and then have meals made from what they grow. It does seem a bit expensive, though.

"Great Choice for Dad, Especially During Holidays"
We are really happy with moving my dad to Emeritus at Holiday Lane. The place looks nice, is well-kept, and always clean. The staff has been friendly, quick to help, and flexible from the start. Moving was stressful because it was needed for medical reasons and happened during the holidays. Their support and understanding made a hard time much better.

"Lacking Comfort: Assisted Living Facility Review"
This place had smaller rooms than others. No shower benches. It's a two-story building, with dining upstairs. Not many nice outdoor spots, like gardens, to chill.

"Family's Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom stays there. They're a bit short on staff but mostly good. The care is fine, but getting it can be tough. Things are going okay for us. The staff is really nice, and there are plenty of activities. There could be more staff for the number of residents. It seems like there are only 2 or 3 caregivers for every 50 residents.

"AL - Great Place with On-Site Nurse, Outings, and Affordable Rates"
This place, AL, is really nice. They have a nurse there and can give injections. They also organize trips to Walmart and IHOP. The bathroom stalls aren't as fancy as Sterling's, but they have flip-down seats, which means a shower chair would fit. They use this weird "point system" for extra stuff, but it's okay. The total price is still good.
