"Independence with helpful staff, safe dining, and open management."

I like having independence here, but help is available if needed. The dining service understands my diet and serves safe food. They also know my likes and dislikes. Management is open to suggestions.

Living at Brookdale Lakeway is very positive. The facilities make him feel safe and comfortable, and he enjoys the friendly population and fellow residents.

"Friendly Staff and Variety of Activities Shine at Brookdale Lakeway"

We really like Brookdale Lakeway because the staff is super friendly. They seem to care about their job from the heart, not just because they're paid. The community is excellent and meets our expectations. While not everyone joins the activities, they have lots of different board games and get-togethers.

"Lacking Medical Care and Coordination at Assisted Living Facility"

This place doesn't have many skilled nurses, even though they're supposed to. When we had four appointments with the doctor, each one took hours out of our day. Even though we asked multiple times, the lab results from the blood work weren't sent to the doctor's office before each visit. This wasted a lot of money and time, especially for appointments to check if our loved one needed to go to the hospital.

"Expensive and Not a Good Fit for Our Loved One"

We visited Brookdale Lakeway and found it very expensive. As we toured, we saw many residents slumped over in their wheelchairs, which was quite sad. It looked like they needed more care than what my loved one would require. It just wasn’t the right place for us.

"Active and Friendly Assisted Living Facilities"

I went to Brookdale Lakeway and Brookdale Lohman's Crossing. At Lakeway, the rooms were clean and nice, and the staff was friendly. There were a few residents reading, and they had a game table, but not much conversation. Lohman's was more active, with a small, pleasant outdoor area and lots of activity. The staff there was attentive and friendly.

"Assisted Living Nightmare: Money Over Care"

In an assisted living facility, my husband’s stay was a harrowing experience. Instead of improving, he deteriorated significantly during his time there. Neglect was rampant, with him left unattended for hours on end. The facility’s priorities seemed skewed, focusing more on financial gain than genuine care. A chilling revelation came after his release: he developed sepsis, a life-threatening condition. This once robust man, who had never been seriously ill, suffered immensely. I implore you: never subject a loved one to this place. It’s a grim reminder that compassion should outweigh profit.

"Unhappy Stay, Seeking New Facility for Mom Later This Month"

We moved my mom there, she stayed about 45 days. But she wasn't happy. Now, we're taking her to another place you suggested. She'll move there later this month.

"Mixed Feelings About Brookdale Lakeway"

I went to Brookdale Lakeway with my sister. We liked the outdoor areas and cozy feel of the place. But I worried about the big layout because my Dad might get lost. The rooms were spacious and pretty, with great views. The staff seemed caring and spent time with the residents. The place is a bit old and could use some updates.
