"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living for Dementia Patients"
Good: 1. The place is great for people with memory issues. 2. Food is tasty. 3. Most helpers are caring and kind. 4. It's a cozy community, easy for residents to know each other. 5. The layout is simple, good for those with memory problems. Not so good: 1. Not enough staff on weekends. 2. Prices are higher than similar places. 3. Hard to find helpful office staff. 4. Clothes sometimes get lost after washing.

"Understaffed Assisted Living Raises Concerns"
They don't have enough staff, so I worry about my loved one and the other residents not getting the care they need, like bathing. When the activities girl is around, things are good, but when she's not, they're not. I like most things except for the staffing. Just two people can't handle everything—watching people coming in and out and taking care of everyone who lives there. It's a secure community, but they're understaffed.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living; good food, cleanliness improving."
Mom thinks the food's great; the cook's experienced. Cleaning's getting better, though they missed her room early on. They tidy up once a week now. Carpets and dining room stay clean. But laundry's been a headache - lost half her clothes, had to buy new ones. Most folks are super friendly and go out of their way for Mom. But there's a lot of staff changes. The activities director is top-notch, keeps Mom busy. They recently let go of the executive director, so there's no one in charge right now.

"Misleading Promises at Aging Facility"
The place needs a lot of fixing up because it's pretty old. My family member stayed here for a month, but we felt like they gave us a big sales pitch at the start, and things didn't match what they promised.

"Staff Overworked, Paperwork Delays, Not Recommended for Seniors"
This place isn't great. They make one guy do everything, and he can't handle it. Paperwork takes forever or doesn't get done, and the staff is too overwhelmed. We wouldn't suggest it to others.

"Friendly and Helpful Assisted Living Community"
This place is really nice and works well for us. The staff is very helpful and willing to assist us. We can also have window visits to see our loved ones, which is great.

"Older Facility with Odors and Small Living Quarters"
The older facility has mostly carpeted areas that hold odors, including a urine smell. The living quarters are small.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My relative isn't doing well here. The room was dirty when we visited. They said they're understaffed. We cleaned it ourselves. The food was okay, but nothing special. We felt misled.

"Caring Staff and Great Activities at Brookdale Midwestern"
At Brookdale Midwestern, the staff is super caring and friendly. But, you know what? It's all about money. My mom doesn't need much medical help, but the few meds she gets are crazy expensive. She still has to pay a lot. I think they should have different price options. Overall, I'm happy with them. It's the right place for my mom. The staff, food, and activities are awesome. Stephanie, the activities director, is my favorite person. The staff here really makes this place special.

"Good Facility, Locked Doors, Not Ideal"
I visited this place when I was searching. I thought the building was nice and the folks were friendly. It kinda felt a bit too much like a nursing home, though. They had the doors locked all the time for safety, so you couldn't just come and go without a staff member typing in a code. It just didn't feel like the right match for my mom.
