"Unhappy with Rent Increase and Lack of Courtesy"

I've been living here for about half a year, and I recently got a notice saying my rent will be higher by an unspecified amount. I don't understand why they're doing this; it feels unfair. Also, the nurses are skilled, but they don't knock before entering my room, which I find rude.

"Nice facility but not the open concept we wanted"

We visited Brookdale N. Fredericksburg Road and liked it a lot. It was nice, but it had a different feel and didn't have the open layout we wanted for my loved one.

"Solid Assisted Living Facility with Room for Improvement"

My dad has been at Brookdale N. on Fredericksburg Rd. in San Antonio for a few months. It’s been going well so far. Like other places, they have trouble keeping enough staff, but the main managers are good and pay attention. They seem a bit short-handed on staff but manage okay. The office and maintenance people are really nice. The whole place could be cleaner, though. Whenever I’ve had worries or problems, Ross and his team have been quick to help and fix things. The price is fair for what you get, but extra services can add up and should be watched. Overall, it’s a good place in a nice part of town with a great team.

"Lack of Response from Brookdale Leaves Relative in Limbo"

The staff at the assisted living facility are really nice, but the memory care employees aren't as friendly. If you're moving a loved one, remember to give them a 30-day written notice. Unfortunately, when I contacted Brookdale for help finding a new home for my relative, no one ever responded.

"Helpful Sales Manager Made Brookdale Tour Informative and Valuable"

My sister and I visited Brookdale while looking for assisted living for our parents. We met the sales manager who gave us a tour of a studio apartment. She was really helpful and gave us more information than anyone else we talked to. She’s a big asset to Brookdale, and we learned a lot from her. Luckily, our parents can stay in their home for now, so we’ve paused our search. But I’m really glad we met the sales manager.

"Brookdale: Not Quite the Right Fit for Us"

When we got to Brookdale, it seemed a lot like a nursing home. Inside was nicer, but first impressions count. The tour was good and the staff were nice. The assisted living was just a room, but we wanted something more like an apartment. It wasn't what we needed for my loved one.

"Communication and Belongings Need Improvement"

I chose Brookdale because I really liked the director's personality and enthusiasm. But sometimes it's tough to reach the nursing staff when I call or the doctor calls. Communication could be better, and they should keep track of residents' belongings.
