Overall, Brookdale is a nice place that takes good care of people. They have some fun activities. However, the food used to be okay, but now it's really bad. There aren't many good options, and they serve sandwiches too often.

When it was time to find a place for our loved ones, we worried about their care. Brookdale of New Braunfels stood out. Friendly staff, delicious meals, and safety during COVID made it the right choice.

The person who talked to us about the place, Sales Director [name removed], was really nice and told us a lot of helpful stuff. But when we got there, it seemed old-fashioned. The rooms were small and felt tight. I didn't like that the dining area was right by the entrance. Also, the bedroom could use some fixing up.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Tour"
The tour was good and taught us a lot. But I don't think this place is right for my mom. We moved her to Eden Hill today, and I'll keep checking other options. If her stay goes beyond the Medicare-approved days, we'll likely pay extra to keep her with the treatment team there until she comes home. Thanks!

"Great Care, Poor Company Policies"
Brookdale New Braunfels is nice for loved ones. They have fun events like parties, trips to stores, bingo, and bible study. The staff is caring, feels like family. They deserve five stars! But, I give three stars because the company has some issues. They want payment on the first of the month. If you're late, they add $250 to your bill. Also, if your loved one passes away mid-month, it takes 60-90 days to get any money back. I tried to talk to upper management but couldn't find the right person. It seems like they care more about taking money than giving it back. If the home office wants to reach me, the local facility has my contact info.
