"Poor Communication and Observation in Assisted Living Facility"
My grandma had a health problem that the staff didn't catch. When the paramedics came at night, the staff didn't know her meds or her condition. They didn't even say she had memory issues. It was surprising how little they knew or noticed about her fluid retention.

"Supportive and Engaging Memory Care for Dementia Patients"
My mom came to a place where they take care of her because she has dementia and needs a lot of help. She was welcomed warmly into a small part of the community that helps people with memory problems. She used to walk with a walker, but now she needs a wheelchair because she's 96 and her dementia has gotten worse. The people who take care of her make sure she has everything she needs. They help her join in the daily activities when she can, and they make sure she goes to meals in a special dining room. On days when she can't get up, they help her eat in her room. They try to keep her busy with things she can do in the shared living area during the day so she feels like she's part of the group. It's been a journey with lots of good times and some tough times as my mom's condition changes. The staff who work with her and the bosses who make the decisions have always listened to us and done their best to help us adjust to what she needs.
