"Disappointing Services and Amenities at Assisted Living Facility"
Nice apartments and grounds, but too expensive for what's offered. Staff is friendly. We were promised light housekeeping, but it's minimal. Food is bad. They said they could assist with errands, but they can't.

"Poor Management and Food Quality"
This place is good for folks who can take care of themselves, but it's not run very well. The people who work here don't talk enough with the folks who live here. Plus, the food isn't very good.

"Friendly Staff, Staffing Challenges; Good Meals, Recommended Community"
The staff at Vitality Living Shadow Hills is very friendly, but like many places, they seem short-staffed. We haven't eaten there, but our loved one says the food is excellent. Overall, based on our experience, we'd recommend this community to other families.

"Great staff, good food, suitable for dementia, mom likes it."
Great place for my mom, thanks a lot. I definitely would and already did recommend it. They're great all around. Food is super important since my mom is picky, but she likes it, so I'm really happy. The activities are a bit boring, but my mom is only 77, so it's more for older residents. I don't have anything bad to say. The staff gave me their personal cell numbers and work after hours often. It's a nice, small community, great for dementia. We're blessed to be here. I just talked to my mom and she said they threw her a surprise birthday party today. Yup, we found a good place.

"Mixed Experience"
I visited this place, and it looked nice inside. But residents warned against moving loved ones here. Not very accessible for people with disabilities—the 2-bedroom apartment was almost a quarter mile from common areas. Too pricey compared to others. Transportation limitations for doctor appointments. Chef offered a meal to try, and they had 24-hour food options. We kept searching due to cost, distance, and transport issues. .

"“Nice Assisted Living, Pricey but Worth a Look!”"
I visited this place, and it was really nice! It’s a bit bigger, but that’s okay. I was almost ready to move in. The only issue was the cost—it’s a little higher than other places. Still, I’d suggest checking it out.

"Billing Questions and Food Concerns"
They take good care of the residents, which is reassuring. I recommend asking about billing upfront to avoid surprises. The food isn’t great, but there are plenty of activities.” Feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance!

"Steer clear! Avoid this place at all costs!"
The communication is simply awful over here! They just don't respond to what the residents need. They make promises but never keep them. The place isn't clean, safe, or secure as it should be!

"Excellent care, clean facilities, and great activities for residents!"
This facility truly cares about its residents. The staff makes everyone feel at home. The kitchen staff prepares delicious meals every day. The administration organizes activities to keep residents active and social. The rooms and building are always clean. If you're looking for a place for a loved one, this facility is a great choice.

"Happy with facility, minor issues, overall a great choice."
The staff are overall good, but one night worker makes things difficult for my mom. The nurse sometimes doesn’t follow the doctor’s instructions and tells my mom she can do more than she should. However, my mom gets happy when she participates in activities like group exercise and crafting. Seeing her happy and engaged is important to us. She also enjoys church services. The meals are good, with new dinner options being added, and lunch is great. I’ve recommended this place to others. The residents are welcoming and nice. I love the facility's size and the flexible care plan, which makes adjustments easy.

"Reliable Care and Support for My Mom at A Place For Mom"
The care my mom receives is going well overall. Like many places, there are occasional issues, but the staff is doing a good job taking care of her. They have been helpful in resolving any concerns that arise. They are honest and willing to work with me to ensure my mom's needs are met. The medication aides genuinely care about her well-being. We needed assistance quickly, and we greatly appreciate the help we received from A Place For Mom.

"Friendly Staff, Mixed Experience; Room Cozy and Updated"
The staff is really nice and friendly. They always treat us well. The food is pretty good, I'd give it four stars. However, there are a couple of things that could be better. The temperature in the halls is sometimes too hot or too cold. It would be better if each room had its own control. Also, sometimes when they bring the medicine, they forget to refill the cart for the day, so he misses a dose. I heard they hired a new person for medicines. Everyone is nice, but sometimes I don't think they're paying enough attention. They don't let me know until he's already out of medicine. Sometimes when he needs help, they take a while to come, maybe 20 minutes. Overall, it's pretty clean and cheerful. His room is nice and cozy, they've updated it and it doesn't feel sad.

"Convenient Location and Helpful Staff at Cottage Village"
Cottage Village was quite good. It was my second choice after comparing it to another place that was closer to my office and home, which would have been more convenient for me. I really liked Tanya, the woman I worked with. She was incredibly helpful without any conditions. Additionally, they have several cooks from Furrs Pie Kitchen, which my dad would have appreciated.
