The staff here has been super friendly and helpful. We picked this place because it felt cozy and welcoming from the start. It's clean and just the right size—not too big. The location is perfect for visiting Mom when we're in Odessa.

"Assisted Living Staff Support is Helpful, Sometimes Unavailable, Overall Recommend"
The staff at Brookdale Sherwood is very helpful and always answers my questions when I ask them. However, there have been occasions when I call the main number and no one answers, which is frustrating, though it doesn't happen frequently. Despite this, I would recommend Brookdale Sherwood to other families.

"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Sherwood"
We picked Brookdale Sherwood because it’s closer to our family, and the staff were super friendly. The rooms were just right for us. But there was a problem with the call button – when my loved one fell out of bed and used it, nobody came. Also, we thought they’d check on residents at night, but that didn’t happen.

"Brookdale Keeps Residents Safe and Happy During COVID"
During COVID, Brookdale has really gone the extra mile to keep residents safe and connected with their families. They’ve managed to avoid any COVID cases. We picked this place because it’s affordable, my dad likes the area, and we have family nearby. The food is great, with lots of choices in a restaurant-style setting. I’d definitely recommend this community to other families. My dad is happy here and says, “I’m home.”

"Supportive staff and friendly residents, but distant one-bedroom apartments"
The staff here are very helpful and encouraging. They listen and make sure to share information with each other. One staff member has been especially supportive and explained my mom’s condition well. The only downside is that the one-bedroom apartments are at the far end of the hallways. The residents are friendly, and they accommodate mom's eating habits. They also offer some daily activities.

My mom has been doing great since moving here. She feels safe and well taken care of. Everything is going smoothly, and I'm happy with how they've helped us. Overall, it's been a really nice experience.

"Medication Delays and Lack of Help at Brookdale"
My family member had some trouble with her medicine at Brookdale. When she used all her medicine, it took a long time, like days, to get more. Also, once she asked someone who worked there to help her tie her shoes. They told her, “we don’t do that here.” That made her feel sad.
