"Terrible Living Condition and Management at Elders' Facility"
My elderly parents, both 92, lived at this place for nearly a year, and it's honestly one of the most disappointing facilities I've seen. They paid for services that never happened. The place is constantly understaffed and call lights go unanswered. My mother was often left waiting for over an hour to be helped to the restroom. They never received the meals they ordered from the menu, always being told "we're out." Much of the food was unfit to eat and once, they even ran out of food. They advertise activities, but don't follow through. Any complaints are ignored by unresponsive management. Our treasured elderly deserve far better!

"Missed Meal Causes Concern at Brookdale Summer Ridge"
The Brookdale Summer Ridge community has been positive overall. However, they missed serving my dad a meal, which led to him getting sick.

"Disappointing Facility. Urgent Need for More Staff!"
The experience was pretty unimpressive. For starters, they could use more staff members to help care for residents. Although the past can't be changed, significant improvements need to be made. I'm sticking with my low rating. I'd hesitate to endorse this place to other families.

"Good facility but could improve response time and food quality"
Overall, things have been pretty good at this facility. They do a decent job communicating with the family, and the housekeeping is done once a week and is generally thorough. However, they’ve been short-staffed and have had a lot of staff changes recently. Because of this, the response time when my loved one presses his call button is longer than it should be. Sometimes he calls me and says he pressed his button 30 minutes ago and is still waiting. The food could be better in terms of both quantity and variety. Still, I would recommend this facility to friends and family.

"Assisted Living Community: Decent, but Needs More Staffing"
This place is alright. They don't have enough staff, but they do their best. I'm happy my family member is nearby for visits. Residents get three meals a day with options.

"Outstanding care and support at Brookdale Summer Ridge facility"
I strongly recommend Brookdale Summer Ridge. During the brief time my loved one was there, the staff was outstanding as we had to move her to hospice care at the facility. They listened, responded quickly, and truly cared about her well-being.

"Assisted Living Review: Compassionate Care and Dedicated Staff"
This change was really big for Mom and Dad, especially after Dad got sick. The people in charge at Summer Ridge have been really nice and helpful during this big change. Sometimes they need extra help finding skilled workers, but they try their best. When we were moving Mom and Dad into Summer Ridge, the manager seemed to be working all the time. She answered our questions no matter what time it was. We had a few problems when we first moved in, but I think everyone was learning how things work. The Director, worked hard to fix things. They really care about the people who live there and want them to have the best time, even though it's a big change in their lives.

"Beware: Facilities' Looks Deceive, Problems and Neglect Inside"
Don't be tricked by the pretty surroundings and friendly faces. We ran into multiple problems right away - with medicine, cleanliness, and even missing laundry. We got no support from the Director when we shared our worries. When we left the place, we were accidentally given somebody else's medicines, and it took multiple tries to reach the Director about this by phone and text. We only got a brief reply much later. Being an honest person, I quickly returned all medicines that didn't belong to us. They wouldn't have realized anything was missing since nobody had me sign anything when the medications were collected.

"STAY AWAY: HORRIBLE CARE AND NEGLECT AT THIS FACILITY"
When my loved one first moved into this assisted living facility, it was really pleasant and the staff was extremely helpful. Things took a turn for the worse when the director was replaced. The care deteriorated, and neglected messes took over my loved one's room. There were times when piles of laundry, food, and bed linens littered the floor to the point you couldn't even walk in. It was dreadful! I ended up personally having to clean their room and bathroom due to the filthy conditions. We were advised to enroll in all in-house services saying it would simplify things and ensure immediate medical attention. That was a hollow promise! It took over a month to get the UTI test we requested for my loved one - our pleas were essentially ignored. Worse still, my loved one was evicted without prior notice and ended up in the hospital due to an attack by another resident using a motorized scooter. After the incident, the facility didn't even bother to call an ambulance claiming my loved one was fine. But to this day, they still haven't recovered from that incident.

"Mixed Feelings About This Assisted Living Community"
We visited this place, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions, and it looked clean. But unfortunately, they didn’t provide what we needed—no one to give medicine—and the rooms were a bit small.

"Good Community Tour with Safety Concerns"
I really enjoyed my tour of this community. Everything looked nice and well-maintained. The staff was kind and courteous. However, my main concern was the location. The community is situated on a main street, which worried me because my father likes to walk around. I didn't feel he would be safe with the busy road right there. Overall, it's a nice community with friendly people.

"Friendly Staff and Great Dining Options"
My mother recently moved to Brookdale Summer Ridge, and she loves it. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Even though the place isn’t brand new, it’s clean and well-maintained. They have a lot of dining options compared to other places we visited. I highly recommend Brookdale Summer Ridge!

"Satisfactory Assisted Living Facility"
This place is my second favorite. It's clean and nice, but the studio is too small. It feels like a one-bedroom with open walls. Debbie is very helpful.

"Remarkably Amazing Care"
At Brookdale Summer Ridge, we truly liked the people there. Stephanie was always excellent. The staff showed great compassion. Although they were sad to see him leave because he was such a nice man, he kept escaping. I have no complaints about this facility—they were amazing. They did their best to care for him, but he needed closer supervision.

"Clean, Friendly, but Not Quite Right"
It was a clean place, and the staff were friendly. They helped us a lot, and it was tough to say goodbye to some of them. But overall, it just didn't feel right for us. The food was okay, and we didn't get to try many activities. It was one of the pricier options, but still nice.

"Cozy Assisted Living with Great Staff and Activities"
This place is really nice. You can cook in your own room, and they give you two meals every day. The staff is awesome, and they've got lots of activities. My apartment is big, but it's far away from Susie's. I like it here because there are lots of trees.

"Friendly staff, homey feel, not suitable for all needs."
I visited this place while considering care for my family. It seemed nice. The people who work there were really nice and kind. The boss was super friendly too. It felt cozy, like a real home, and the people living there looked happy. But, it turned out it wouldn't have been the right fit for my family member's needs.

"Mom Walking Better; Sitter Costs Less Here"
My mom is walking within just three weeks. She only uses her wheelchair now and then. Most of the time, she's walking with a walker or getting help. Everything is going great. Plus, hiring a sitter here costs half as much as it did at the last place.
