"Disappointing Changes at Assisted Living: Beware of New Ownership"
My mom's place used to be good when it was owned by locals. Then Ensign took over, and everything changed. Prices skyrocketed, but it didn't seem like the extra money went into improving care—it just made the place look fancier. When my mom passed away after almost six years there, I didn't even receive a condolence message. They got rid of her bed and other belongings without asking me, which felt disrespectful. It was like they couldn't wait to move on to the next resident. They also randomly charged for medications, even ones my mom didn't need or want. Despite my repeated requests, they kept giving her unnecessary meds and billing insurance or Medicare. And good luck getting anyone to pick up the phone or return calls. Long story short: Find somewhere else for your loved ones.

"Understaffed Assisted Living with a Sweet Manager"
I didn't like our tour. The staff-to-resident ratio seemed too low, even for a smaller place. It wasn't very clean. But the person in charge was fantastic and really nice; they're just short-staffed.

"Dull Weekend Atmosphere at Aging Facility"
The place is old. They're fixing up a few apartments, but not much. I went on a Saturday and only saw a couple of people walking around. No weekend activities. Overall, it felt pretty sad.

"Great Care and Meals at Cambridge Square"
My Mom and Step Dad have been living at Cambridge Square since 2017. When you reach the point where you don’t want to warm up food anymore, it’s time to find a place that can help. The staff here has been really good at assisting them when needed. They provide three meals a day (sometimes not exactly what they want, but overall good). There’s always room for improvement, but our family feels blessed to have found Cambridge.

"Wonderful place with great care!"
We are so happy with Cambridge Square. It's a wonderful place. I visited a few other places, but I knew right away this was the one. Everyone here is super friendly, and the director was a big help the whole time. It's really nice, and I definitely recommend it. They're taking great care of my loved one!

"Small-Scale Assisted Living, Independent Start Possible, Monthly $4,250, No Cable"
This assisted living facility is on the smaller side but offers independent living and can provide medications or help with transfers if a spouse falls ill. However, do note that it is licensed for assisted living at a cost of $4,250 per month, and cable is not included in this fee. On a positive note, it allows residents to remain in the same apartment, even if they start as independent and then later need assisted living. This charming establishment is located in a quaint, old-fashioned town full of antique shops, about a 20-minute drive away.
