Caydance Assisted Living and Memory Care

"Understaffed and Poorly Managed Facility"
Most of the staff are caring, but there aren't enough of them to help residents who need more care. There's a lot of staff turnover, and communication between management, nurses, caregivers, residents, and families is poor. They also have ongoing problems with medication management. I wouldn't recommend this place because management seems to care more about corporate policies than the residents' care.

"Great staff and clean, but some services are pricey"
My mom lives at Caydance Assisted Living and Memory Care. Everything has been good for her so far, except some things are a bit pricey. The staff is great. Communication with the family is good, but not perfect. The place is clean. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

"Caydance Review Summary"
I visited Caydance Assisted Living & Memory Care. The rooms were clean, and the dining area was really nice. The whole place felt new and fancy. We mostly chatted in a room, and the staff were very honest. They told me that if my parents were pretty independent, they didn't need to be here. But if they started showing signs of needing help, I should consider coming back. The cost was a bit high, but it covered things my parents didn't need right now. We ended up choosing a different community because Caydance wasn't the right fit. Still, if my parents required memory care and extra help, this would've been a good option.

"Not quite the one."
The assisted living community was nice, but not quite right for our loved one. Another community outshone it.

"Mixed Bag at Assisted Living Facility"
They've got some good caregivers, but they're not paid enough, and some don't seem to care about the residents. It's a big corporation focused on money, not care. The management team isn't honest; they hide things. Our experience hasn't been good. When we first moved in, they promised services they couldn't deliver. It's disturbing. On the bright side, the meals are fantastic—three good ones a day. Families have to provide toiletries for the residents.

"Reservation Mishap Leads to Disappointment"
I liked this place and had booked a spot for a short stay. But then, just a day before I was supposed to bring my mom, I called to check when we could come, and they said I didn't have a booking anymore because they gave away my room. If you need respite care, don't pick this place. Their customer service isn't good.

"Moving Made Easy and Welcoming at Caydance"
From the moment my sister and I walked in, we felt really welcomed. The tour was great, and we came back the next day with our parents so my dad could try the food he loved it. Now, we're packing up their old home with their approval and moving them to their new place at Caydance.

"Positive changes make a big impact"
What a difference we've seen! Since new management took over, we've noticed big changes that focus on the residents. The staff is friendly, listens, and responds quickly. All we can say is thank you. My parents needed this. I needed this!

"We're back..."
We had to change my parent's community, but it was a big mistake. Now that they're back at Caydance, they're happier and healthier. The management style and services are excellent, and the directors are approachable.

"Making the grade!"
Our mom learned about this community from her church. As her sons, we focused on the finances. Mom, a retired teacher, asked many questions. So far, they've delivered what they promised, and she's happy!

"Mom loves her new home and friendly neighbors"
Before helping my husband find a place for his mom, I had driven by this facility many times without noticing it. When it showed up in our search, we decided to check it out. We were really impressed. The building is set back from the road, so it’s quiet and private. Inside, it’s warm, clean, and welcoming. The outdoor area is secure and easy to access, which was important for us since his mom loves being outside all year. We also liked the outdoor fireplace and the space for her to socialize with her neighbors. The doors open onto the courtyards, which made her feel at home. We don’t have any regrets about our choice!

"Perfect Spot for Dad: Caydance is Ideal and Content"
As an only child, I visited many places in Katy, but when I toured this one, I knew right away it was the perfect spot for my dad. He really enjoys living at Caydance, and we’re happy to see him so content.

"Friendly Staff, High Deposits"
Room 149 seemed like the best choice, but it faced the parking lot. The staff and residents were friendly. The meals had lots of options and tasted good. I liked that the main doors opened easily with a button. However, the pet and scooter deposits were higher than other places we visited. This was the first place with a scooter deposit.

"Caydance: A Dreadful Place for Elderly Residents"
My dad has been a resident at Orchard for the past three years. The place used to be fantastic until it got sold and renamed as Caydance. Sadly, we have to move him to somewhere else where he will receive better care because Caydance has simply become a terrible place for old folks.

"Positive Experience at The Orchard Assisted Living Despite Recent Changes"
This place is really nice, and my mom is doing well since she moved here. I'm a bit worried because The Orchard Assisted Living got bought by another group, so there are some changes going on. But, the care for my mom hasn't been affected by these changes. They keep everything clean here, and the food is good. They also have fun activities for the people living here. I'd tell others to check it out.

"A Tour for Excellent Care and Value"
I enjoyed the community tour I took for my mom’s care. The staff were friendly and answered our questions about the care they provide. The meal menu was appealing, and they offered many activities. We needed a community urgently, and this place would have been a good choice for the care we required. I recommend it to other families.

"The Orchard: A Caring Assisted Living Choice"
I contacted ‘A Place for Mom’ about assisted living for my Mom. They connected me with The Orchard, which turned out to be perfect. The staff was caring and considerate even before meeting my Mom. We visited twice, and everyone was friendly and kind. Mom is now happily settled there. 5 stars for The Orchard!

"We Appreciate It Here!"
The staff at this assisted living facility truly cares, and it feels genuine. They do an excellent job of keeping me informed about my loved one’s progress. The community is bright and open, and I appreciate that they provide a space for residents to sit and enjoy conversations. While they offer some activities, there’s room for improvement.

""Feels More Like a Hospital, Fell Short of Expectations""
I went for a visit and it seemed more like a medical facility. I saw folks in wheelchairs simply hanging about. I didn't want that for my mom and dad. It looked okay, but didn't live up to what I hoped for.

"Missing Items During Respite Stay; Friendly Staff"
The staff was very friendly. My mom stayed for 3 weeks on a "respite stay." The monthly cost is based on $150 per day, since they didn't give a daily rate for this review. When we picked up my mom and her things, we noticed some of our flatware and washcloths were missing. Either my mom accidentally threw them away, or they disappeared.

"Peace of Mind with Caring Staff at The Orchard"
The Orchard is everything we hoped for when moving our Aunt to Memory Care five months ago. She had been in several assisted living places over the past 7 years, which were okay, but The Orchard is a real gem! The staff here are incredible—caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making every day special for the residents. My Aunt is very happy and well cared for. From the first visit, I knew The Orchard was the right place. The director was not pushy but genuinely concerned about my Aunt's well-being, focusing on finding the best fit. The place is clean, the food is good, and the activity director, challenges the residents physically and mentally. I've seen great improvements in my Aunt in just four months. The staff who help with her daily needs are wonderful, providing lots of hugs and encouragement. My family and I feel content leaving The Orchard, knowing she is in good hands. The peace of mind we have is priceless. Thank you, The Orchard staff!

The assisted living place is real clean and the workers are real nice. But, they could do better with the stuff they have for old folks to do. They should take them out more and plan more activities for them.
