Cedar Bluff Assisted Living

"Headline"
Our family visited Cedar Bluff in person, and the tour was positive. However, they weren't equipped to care for our loved one's health needs due to multiple levels and elevator use.

"Negligence and Poor Practices at Assisted Living Community"
Our experience at this assisted living community was not positive. I advise against sending your family members here. The memory care unit housed many patients but lacked an adequate staff to attend them properly. Numerous times, no one checked on my family member for hours. A missing medication incident also occurred. When my family confronted the staff, they confessed to not reordering the medication in time. As a result, our loved one experienced withdrawal symptoms and fell numerous times. We were told patients must request pain medications themselves. However, memory care patients may not understand how to do so. Therefore, I believe staff should be educated on recognizing signs of resident pain. Every time we visited, our loved one's water cup was empty. Despite several reminders for consistent refilling, our request was ignored, potentially endangering my loved one's health due to lack of hydration.

"Convenient location, great staff, some trouble with activities."
Cedar Bluff is in a great spot for my loved one. The new staff since Frontier took over has been a big improvement. They are fun and really care. They have trouble finding fun activities, but I think it's because the residents, including my loved one, don't want to join in much. I feel lucky she's close and still independent at her age.

"Assisted Living Needs Improvements"
When we moved my family member out of Cedar Bluff, I wasn't satisfied. Until they fix some issues, I can't suggest this place. Cedar Bluff changed management recently, and almost everyone who worked there left. They need to look at everything and make changes. I suggest you visit often and make sure your loved one is okay. Make sure they're getting the care they need.

"Care is Outstanding"
I’m writing in response to the terrible review from July. It really bothers me! My mom has been in Memory Care at Cedar Bluff for over 2 1/2 years. She was one of the first residents there, and I visit her almost every day. I completely disagree with that review. The caregivers are always loving and caring towards my mom and the other residents. The residents are at different stages of dementia, and I’ve seen how the staff interacts with them. They are always respectful and kind. My mom’s well-being is my top priority, and if I saw anything that made me uncomfortable or that was wrong, I would have moved her.

"A True Blessing for My Dad’s Care"
Cedar Bluff has been a real answer to our prayers. My dad, who has Parkinson's, was struggling at home with health care after a hospital stay last October. He felt trapped and unhappy. We decided to look for other options and toured several assisted living places. As soon as we visited Cedar Bluff, we knew it was the right place for him. Although he wasn’t thrilled about assisted living, we were impressed by Cedar Bluff's beautiful community, lovely apartments, and friendly staff. We decided to move him in, and we’re so glad we did! He’s been there for six months now and feels like it’s his new home. He’s thriving thanks to the exercise classes, games, Bible studies, outings, and the caring staff. He also enjoys having his own private apartment when he wants it. Finding the right place for your loved one can be tough, but visiting Cedar Bluff will give you hope.

"Horrible Care and Unfriendly Staff!"
This place treated my dad really badly. I regret not pulling him out sooner. The folks trying to sign me up were super kind, but those who were supposed to take care of him were not nice or helpful. Their care was awful. It felt like they didn't know a thing about handling someone with dementia.

Excellence is the first thing that comes to mind for Cedar Bluffs. The management and staff truly care about their residents. They offer great food and hospital-level care. The facilities are beautiful, and it feels like a family environment. They encourage residents to join in fun activities. The staff loves and really cares about the residents, who adore their caregivers. After reviewing everything, I found Cedar Bluffs to be a great value—a true gem.

These individuals are entirely inept. I wouldn't trust them with my pet.

"Decent Tour, Not Right for My Loved One, But Good Experience"
I went on a tour of this place and it was pretty good. The people who worked there were nice and helped me out. The place looked nice and clean too. It was a good experience overall. I found another place that suits my mom better, but still, this tour was good.

"Great Staff, Food, and Activities at This Wonderful Community!"
The staff here is always quick to help with anything. They’re very helpful and answer all my questions. The food is great, and my mom really likes it. The place is clean and well-maintained. They offer lots of activities each week, like live piano music, church services, exercise classes, and scenic drives. I would definitely suggest this place to my family and friends.

"A True Blessing for Our Family"
We feel so lucky to have found Cedar Bluff. Our family was worried about finding the right place, but the staff here was incredibly helpful, kind, and patient with us, especially with Mom and me. I couldn't have picked a better place for her. She’s in their Memory Care unit, and even though she can be very challenging, they have always reassured and supported us through these tough times. We’re so happy with this place. It’s a beautiful new residence and a must-see for anyone looking for a new home for their loved one. It's been a true blessing for us!

"Cheers to Cedar Bluff!"
Finding Cedar Bluff was a true blessing for our family. My mom receives wonderful care in the memory care unit. The staff goes above and beyond to meet her needs. She transitioned from a farm in a small town, and the support at Cedar Bluff exceeded our expectations—an answer to our prayers. Not only did they help her adjust, but they also supported me emotionally during this difficult decision. I’m thrilled we chose Cedar Bluff.
