"Friendly Staff and Cozy Courtyard at Chisolm Court"
What our family likes most about Chisolm Court is the friendly and caring staff. It’s a smaller place with a nice courtyard where residents and visitors can relax safely outside.

"Good activities, but meals and cost need improvement"
Our loved one says the meals aren’t tasty. The activities are fun but need more variety. It’s a bit too expensive for what you get.

"Friendly, Clean, and Caring Assisted Living Facility"
This place is really nice and clean. The staff and workers are super friendly. I feel good about my mom living here. They do their best to get her involved in activities, even though she’s blind. She likes the exercise activities. Everyone I’ve met, including the residents, is friendly and seems happy.

"Feelings Change After Weekend Visit to Assisted Living Facility"
My initial tour made a good impression, but my experience on a Saturday was dreadful. I noticed there weren't enough staff members. It felt so chaotic. There were no activities, and the place had an odor of urine. I observed workers managing two wheelchairs at a time, which must've been so hard on their backs. I think I dropped by during lunch time because I saw residents in the dining rooms. I noticed that the ladies in one dining area would feed one resident a spoonful of food and then move on to the next person. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my mom here.

"Chisholm Place Is a Wonderful Home!"
Chisholm Place is a super clean, caring, safe, and loving home for your loved one. When you step inside, the friendly ladies at the front desk greet you warmly and offer assistance. As you walk down the halls, you’ll meet cheerful residents and caregivers. The nurses and office staff are very professional, always prioritizing the needs of each resident. They go the extra mile to make your family member feel welcome and well-cared-for every day. Residents personalize their rooms with their own furniture and decorations, creating a cozy home environment. Delicious meals are served three times a day in the dining room. Chisholm Place hosts game times, Bible studies, sing-alongs, and special family events. The reliable staff promptly responds to residents’ call buttons. Chisholm truly is a quality home—I highly recommend it!

"Great care and activities made Chisholm a fantastic place for her"
My aunt lived at Chisholm and had a great time there. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and received excellent care. She really liked the staff, and they liked her too. It was a fantastic experience for her, especially since she had been living alone for many years. The nurses were very kind and truly cared about her. I also loved the family activities they had every month. The residents were very polite and looked out for each other. The meals were delicious, and everyone cared a lot about the residents. Thanks, Chisholm, for giving her such a wonderful experience!

"Joyful Loving Care"
My aunt lived at Chisholm Place for about five years, and the staff there was incredibly attentive, professional, and caring. The place was always super clean, the food was tasty and healthy, and the activities were fun. But what mattered most was the love and attention from the staff. They transformed my aunt from a quiet, lonely person into a happy and active member of the community. Despite her dementia, those last years were some of her happiest. Our family is deeply grateful to everyone at Chisholm Place.

"Mom's Care at Chisholm"
My mom got to experience the great care at Chisholm Place. The staff was amazing and treated her like family. She had lived in one home for 52 years, and the people at Chisholm made the move easy for her. Sadly, she has passed, but they took excellent care of her until the end. I would recommend Chisholm to anyone who needs help.

"Chisholm Place: A Blessing for Families"
We discovered Chisholm Place more than two years ago for my Dad. I can't express how great this facility and its staff are. They've been a true blessing for Dad and our family. The rooms are comfortable, the food is really good, and the staff is well-qualified, knowledgeable, and caring. Although Dad now needs a higher level of care, we'll miss Chisholm Place and the entire staff.

"Perfect Home for My Parents!"
My parents moved to Chisholm Place about 3 years ago, and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s a small community where everyone knows each other. The management and staff are amazing. They treat all the residents like family. I’ve never seen a staff member pass by without checking in with residents to see if they need anything. They check on my parents every few hours, and if they need extra help, they’re there more often. The building is beautiful and always clean. The food is great, served restaurant-style three times a day. There’s lots of social interaction, and the residents genuinely care about one another. There are activities for various interests, so there’s always something to do. Chisholm Place is exactly what I was looking for. The staff are well-trained, patient, and loving. My parents feel safe, cared for, and truly consider it their home. THANK YOU, Chisholm Place!!!!!

"Wonderful care and beautiful setting for our 102-year-old mom!"
My mother lives here, and we think she's getting the best care possible. The staff and management are incredibly helpful, and we couldn’t ask for a better place for her. The building looks great, and the grounds are well-kept, so she has a lovely courtyard right outside her window. We’re really happy and thankful that Abilene has a place like this. Since she’ll be 102 later this year, we believe this is a fantastic spot for her care.

"Exceptional Care and Support at Chisholm Place"
My family is very happy with Chisholm Place and their caring staff. My in-laws have lived there for almost 2 years. The staff, including [Removed], always make time to talk to us and keep us updated on our family members' needs. [Removed], the activities director, works hard to include everyone in events, whether planned or spontaneous, and clearly cares about each resident. [Removed] and the nursing staff are especially attentive to my in-laws, watching for any signs of illness and often preventing serious problems. The daily staff are respectful and loving towards everyone at Chisholm Place. It seems like being calm and keeping each resident's dignity intact is important to everyone working there.

"Welcoming Family Atmosphere at Assisted Living Facility"
Last night was family night at the assisted living place, and it was great! We had yummy brisket, cole slaw, and potato salad for dinner, and dessert included watermelon or apple pie. The dining hall was packed because all the residents had visitors. The staff there is super nice and friendly. It was awesome to see so many people there! We all sang together, which was fun because we each had a songbook. They really take good care of my aunt. Since we live far away from Abilene, it's comforting to know she's loved and cared for by them.

"Caring, attentive staff and a pleasant, well-maintained facility"
My mother was at Chisholm Place for about a year before we needed to move her to a nursing facility. From the very beginning, the staff whether it was the administrator, line staff, or maintenance took great care of her and made sure all her needs were met quickly. The counseling was excellent, with honest and helpful advice when needed. The food was always good, served nicely in a pleasant dining room. My mother felt happy and comfortable during her entire stay. There were lots of activities for the residents to enjoy. The facility is small and friendly, where everyone knows each other by name. It’s clean and well-kept, with a positive and caring atmosphere. Home health services were provided when needed, and transportation was arranged for doctor visits. Even though we live far from Abilene, we were kept well informed. We’re grateful we could have our mother there for as long as we did. The pricing is based on each resident’s needs. Chisholm Place is definitely worth considering. Thanks to everyone there for a job well done!

"Truly Caring Place, Beautifully Decorated, and Great Food!"
We moved our Mom to Chisholm Place a little over a month ago, and we can really tell the difference from the other Assisted Living home she was in before. The staff here is so caring—they check on her every couple of hours. The food is great, and she even gets treats served right in her room during breaks. The place is beautifully decorated, and the fall decorations this year are just amazing! When we need help, someone comes right away. The people are super friendly, and we are so happy with our choice. We think you’d love it too. Come check them out—my Mom would love to make new friends!

"Nice facility, friendly staff, many activities, and great location."
It’s a really nice, clean facility with very friendly staff. He has his own apartment with a small kitchenette and a full bathroom. They provide 24-hour care. They offer various outings to parks, the mall, and sometimes for meals. There are exercise areas, walking groups, and they’re working on starting a gardening group. The location is close to where I work, in a good part of town and easy to get to.

"Good for Basic Care, Lacks Specialized Attention"
For a basic assisted living facility, it gets full marks. But for the specific needs of my family member, it didn't quite meet the mark. Don't get me wrong, the place is clean and the staff are wonderful. But they just didn't provide the level of care we required. One suggestion I have is for them to offer a family orientation on the first day. It would be helpful to know the schedule, what to expect, and information about meals, medication, and what we need to bring from home. While they did talk to us a bit about these things, a more formal orientation would be great.
