"Limited Space, Lack of Interaction at Assisted Living Facility"
The rooms were smaller than we hoped for. They had long hallways, and the residents didn't mingle much.

"A Welcoming Home for Loved Ones"
Cummings Assisted Living is a friendly and cozy place for residents and visitors. The staff, including the director, marketing team, and caregivers, are always helpful and welcoming. The facility is super clean, and there are plenty of employees to keep things running smoothly. They really care about the residents’ well-being. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants their loved one to live in a warm, caring environment.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Natural Surroundings"
This place is a great choice for seniors. They offer different types of care, like Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care. The best part? It’s affordable! The facility is tucked away from the usual hustle and bustle, surrounded by lovely natural areas. Plus, there’s a fully stocked lake where you can walk and enjoy the scenery. They even have outdoor event spaces for picnics with your family. The rooms are spacious and have full kitchens for independent living. They’re currently remodeling to make the assisted living even better. The residents seem happy, and the staff is friendly.

"Great care and activities, with room for menu improvement"
We’re pleased with the care here. The staff are great and attentive to her needs. The menu is decent, but my mom thinks it could be better. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere that she enjoys. There are many activities and things to do. We would recommend this place to other families for its good value and care.

"Great care, nice rooms, but meals are limited"
We visited this assisted living community to explore care options. The staff is great, but I was concerned about her room being far away. The community is nice overall, though they only provide two meals a day. The rooms are pleasant with full kitchens, and there are activities available. The place is very clean. We would suggest other families check out this community for their loved ones' care.

"Disappointing Food at Lakewood Assisted Living"
My mom thought Lakewood Assisted Living seemed nice at first. She even put down a deposit. But when she tasted the food, it was bad news. They served it on cheap plates with plastic forks and spoons. They claimed they were fixing the kitchen, but that didn't change our minds.

"Comfortable Living with Great Meals and Helpful Staff"
My loved one's apartment has new carpet and appliances. It looks out over a beautiful flower garden. The meals are fantastic. The building is old, but they're updating it, including new hallway carpets. They offer fun daily activities and keep everything very clean. The staff are amazing and always helpful.

"A Clean and Friendly Community Worth Visiting"
This community is very clean and well-kept. I haven’t noticed any bad smells in the places I’ve been. There’s a nice lake nearby. Everyone I’ve met here has been great. I definitely recommend this place.

"Health Care Center: Understaffed, Unhelpful Social Worker"
The Health Care Center appears to not have enough staff and many people quit. The Social Worker, who is meant to be a supporter for the patients and their families, doesn't help much and gets easily upset if there are problems brought up.

"Beautiful grounds, but health care is a total disaster."
My mom stayed here after surgery because she couldn't walk by herself. My family and I had to take care of her because the staff never answered when we asked for help. We're thinking about moving her. The place looks really nice and it might be good for people who can take care of themselves, but don't let your family stay in the health care center. It's terrible.

"Nice place with friendly staff but steep ramp concern"
We visited this place while searching for a good fit. It was nice, and the staff was very friendly. However, there was a steep ramp that worried us as a potential safety issue for my loved one. We ended up choosing a different location where she preferred to be.

"Mother Thrives at Lakewood Village Retirement Community"
My mom's content here. I give it 3 1/2 stars. Won't rate specifics as I lack enough experience. But Mom's happy, so I'm pleased. She got what she wanted. Lakewood Village Retirement Community suits her. It's good. So, overall, it gets 3 1/2 stars from me.

"Wonderful place with happy residents and helpful staff!"
Lakewood Village Retirement is a great place! The staff are super friendly and really helpful. They took their time to explain everything to us until we understood it all. They also invited us to visit whenever we wanted and talk to the residents to see how they felt about living there. There was no pressure to buy, and they were confident we’d see how wonderful their community is and we did! Everyone there seems happy and content. I highly recommend it!

"Perfect Place for Mom's Comfort and Happiness"
My mom moved to Lakewood Village Independent Living Apartment in 2012. She loves the friends she's made, the activities, and the meals. The place is really nice and well taken care of. It took a little time for her to adjust, but knowing she can get help with just a button makes us all feel much better. We are very happy with it.

"Wonderful Caring Community"
From day one, my parents felt at home here. The apartment was set up as requested, and any minor adjustments were handled promptly and with care. The food was delicious, and friendly neighbors made us feel welcome. The staff knew our names and were helpful. Calendars of activities were posted everywhere. When my dad had a medical emergency, the staff responded promptly. Lakewood provides a wonderful environment for seniors, and my parents love it there!

"Grateful for Lakewood Village’s Caring Staff and Happy Environment"
So far, we’re really happy with Lakewood Village. There are one or two workers whose personalities don't seem great for working with older people, but overall, everyone is wonderful. My mom is very happy here, and I thank my lucky stars every day because she is very picky. If she’s happy, it makes my life easier.

"Peaceful and Well-Maintained Assisted Living with Beautiful Grounds"

"A Great Place to Live"
The best part of Lakewood Village is definitely the other residents. You won’t find sad people sitting alone, looking like their lives are terrible. Instead, you’ll see cheerful, active neighbors chatting, playing card games, and enjoying their meals. The food has been consistently good since moving in, even for my picky relative. The servers are friendly, and the maintenance staff went out of their way to make her apartment nice. While there were a few minor issues when she first arrived, they apologized sincerely. My only suggestion is to improve handicapped access to the water garden door, and the front desk staff could be more consistent in their helpfulness. Overall, it’s a place with truly caring and helpful people.

"Beautiful grounds with lots of activities and spiritual support"
The grounds are really nice, and the apartment is well taken care of. They offer a lot of spiritual support here. The food isn't the best, but it's okay. The place is on several acres with a lake and walking trails. It's right across the street from another facility. There's a full schedule of activities, and there's a laundry room on every floor and wing.

"Friendly staff and lots of activities; great value for the price."
I haven’t noticed any cleanliness issues, and the staff is very friendly. They know everyone's name, including mine! For the price, I don't think you can find a better place. My parents are in independent living, so they don’t need assisted care, but what they do have is good. The staff keeps an eye on them and even calls me with updates. There are lots of activities, including bus trips, theater outings, movies, singing, and more.

"Looking for Luxury, Not Nursing Home Style"
This assisted living center wasn't the independent setup we were hoping for. My mom can still do a lot on her own and she didn't need all the medical benefits this place offers. We're looking for something more in line with luxury independent living, not like a nursing home.
