"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The fun activities and clean facility were good. But, we had worries about her health. They didn't notice she was having a stroke and didn't call us. They also put her to bed with low blood sugar without telling us. The staff is always not enough. The food was often weird and not tasty. It's advertised as a place for aging in comfort but it gets too expensive if your parent needs extra care. Some staff were really great though. Moving in and out was easy and the room was cozy. But, sometimes repairs took a while because they only had one maintenance person.

"Needs Improvement in Activities"
I feel like they could offer more activities. We chose this community mainly for socialization, but my loved one felt isolated. They aren't meeting that need. My loved one isn't fond of the food. However, the staff they interact with is very nice, which we appreciate. Whenever I visit, which is at least once a week, the staff is friendly to me. I wish the admission staff had given more information about what a memory care facility entails. Most residents have significant mental decline, and I wish I had been informed about that, within HIPAA guidelines, of course. I didn't realize I'd have to call in or wait for someone to let me out each time I visited, which I understand, but I would have appreciated more warning.

"Disappointing Experience at Cimarron Place Assisted Living"
I wouldn't suggest Cimarron Place for your loved ones. When my family member stayed there briefly, none of the staff checked on them. They didn't have much food, and my family member couldn't get the food they wanted. We had to bring food for them. Linda seems nice at first, but her focus is on getting residents in, not helping families afterward.

"Unpopulated Cimarron Place Tour Didn't Suit Dad"
Our tour at Cimarron Place wasn't great. The folks who were guiding us were friendly, but the place felt like a ghost town. We did not see a single resident, everyone was just in their rooms. That struck us as really weird. It just didn't feel right for my dad.

"Good facility, friendly staff, minor issues, overall happy experience."
Here's the rewritten review: The rooms are a bit dated, and some repairs were needed. Maintenance did a subpar job on our requests, but the facility is generally well-kept and clean. The food is good, though she’d like more variety. Currently, they aren't offering Cokes and snacks or regular activities due to Covid. The annual increase is based on Cimarron's calendar, not on how long someone has been there, which led to a big jump in cost after just two months. Despite these issues, the staff are friendly, and overall, we're happy with the place. Most importantly, our loved one is very happy.

"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living"
It was a great place for the price. Very clean and pleasant. Most of the staff were friendly. However, the food wasn’t up to standard—it was served cold and some dishes were hard to eat, so my loved one didn’t finish it.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Uncertain Costs Raise Concerns"
Cimarron Place followed up well after our tour. The issue was they couldn't give us a clear idea of the costs. They determine fees based on a health assessment, which is concerning. If your loved one has a bad day during assessment, you might face higher costs. Conversely, if they're having a good day, you could start at one price but end up with significant increases due to adjustments for care level.

"Sister Experiences Misinformation and Neglect at Cimarron Facility"
My sister occupied a unit at Cimarron for about a month and a half. Right off the bat, we noticed several discrepancies between the reality and the things we had been told at our initial visit. For instance, there was no in-house maintenance personnel and the refrigerator in her unit was faulty. When she called for assistance, they mentioned that the repairman was from Big Spring and would attend to the issue when he could. Moreover, her carpet was dusty, spotted with large stains and they apparently had no vacuum cleaner that worked. To boot, during the entire time she lived there, there was no activity organizer on the premises. Many mornings, we observed that there was no personnel to prepare and serve breakfast. Another grievance was the seeming lack of rules during nighttime. Inhabitants were left to wander the corridors, causing ruckus by yelling, weeping and banging on doors, disturbing my sister's rest. We expressed our dissatisfaction multiple times, however, responses proved ineffective. Ultimately, my sister had no choice but to move out.

"Unfair rent hike shocks fixed income seniors"
My mom has been staying at Cimarron Place for almost a year now. Suddenly, she's being asked to pay more for her room and board. All the people living there are elderly and have a fixed amount of income, my 94-year-old mother included. Such a sudden increase in her expense is a real shock. I'm disappointed.

"Spacious Rooms, Potential for 24/7 Care in Beautiful Setting"
This place is really nice! The rooms are big and all to yourself. They don't have special rooms for rehab or physical therapy, but they say they can still help with that. I wasn't sure about the prices when I visited, but the staff called me the next day and gave me a good idea. They said they can take care of my mom all day and night, which is just what she needs. This could be a great place for her.

"Great Place!"
My mom has been at Cimarron Place for 8 months. They adjusted the cost to fit her needs. The small size makes it easy for her to get around. The staff is friendly, and she enjoys the activities. Hoping she stays here!

"Nice place, but a bit small for me."
The staff was friendly, showing me around and answering my questions. I even liked the luncheon they served during my visit. The community seemed nice, and I thought about moving here. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in a small community.

"Nice Community Tour, Room Size Concerns, Found Better Fit Elsewhere"
This community is pretty nice. We had a good tour. Everyone was friendly to my family and me. The community looked nice from what we saw. The staff we met was kind and treated us well. They answered our questions. The only problem was that the rooms were not big enough for my parents and their needs. Overall, it was a nice experience, but we found another community that suited our needs better.

"Great place for Mom, even temporarily!"
We haven't decided if Mom will stay at Cimarron Place permanently, but having her there occasionally has been great! The staff is very nice and welcoming, and there's always someone to greet us when we visit. Mom enjoys her short stays, has made a good friend, and likes the meals and activities. If we choose a permanent place, this would be it. For now, we'll keep using their services and recommend them to others.

"Neglected Promises and Lack of Services Cimarron Place"
My mom's been living at Cimarron Place for a few months now. The staff there is mostly friendly and considerate. They offer a range of activities for the elderly and the meals are okay. That's about all the positives I can share about this place! This place doesn't qualify as a complete assisted living home! They don’t have any transportation or certified drivers to take the elderly to their doctor's visits. If they need to get transportation, the elderly person has to shell out extra money! Much of the agreement made with my late dad was spoken and now they won't fulfill those promises. After my dad passed, I requested more help for my disabled mom. They said they would provide more care but wouldn't add it to her bill, yet they continue to bill the same amount as if my dad was still living here. Yet, any time I ask them to help my mom, I'm told she isn't paying for extra help! I live over five hours away and I can't be available all the time to assist her. My mom's got plenty of health problems and the medical staff there aren't qualified to handle her daily medical routines, and home health care is only allowed to visit once a week. I'm going to move her soon to a true full-service assisted living home closer to me. This situation at Cimarron Place has simply added more stress on top of dealing with the loss of my dad and all the legal and financial burdens that come with losing a family member. I wouldn't recommend this place if your senior needs a good deal of medical or physical assistance or rides to the doctor or to buy necessary items.

"Cimarron Place: A Wonderful Home for Mom"
The staff at Cimarron Place is amazing. Everyone I’ve met is friendly, caring, and truly interested in taking care of my mom. I was worried about moving my mom from another facility to Cimarron because change is tough, especially as we get older. But with the wonderful staff and environment, she loves it there. Thank you, Cimarron Place and A Place for Mom. God bless all of you.
