"Great Setup, But Not for Dementia Care"
Country Place Senior Living has a great setup, which our family appreciates. We'd recommend it to other families, as long as they don't need dementia/Alzheimer's care.

"Attractive Senior Living Facility Lacks Quality Food, Respectful Staff"
My mom lives at Country Place Senior Living of Canton, Mulberry. I'll start by saying it's a clean space - looks are obviously a priority. However, the food is a major issue! The chefs don't know how to cook for old people. Elderly folks, who likely cooked great homemade meals back in their day, crave food like peas, cornbread, and fresh veggies. They'd also like a menu offering them options. There’s nothing for the vegetarians either, reduced to bland vegetables and bread sometimes. We've brought fresh fruit often for all the residents only to find it stowed away in the kitchen, out of their reach. Adding to this, the meat is oftentimes hard, the veggies are flavorless, and lately, the meal sizes have shrunk. All our complaints about the low-quality food seem to be dismissed! What's worse is how the staff treats the residents. If someone isn't wearing a mask, instead of kindly asking them why, the staff hollers at them from the other side of the room. Residents have been told to close their windows on nice, breezy days despite the virus not being spread like that. The staff talks to them in a way that feels belittling and scolding rather than respectful and caring. My mom was belittled after saying grace at breakfast, told she needed to pray because of her supposed behavior. Does the staff forget it's these residents who pay their salaries and deserve respect and care, especially in such unpredictable times? Think hard before letting your beloved one join this facility. As I mentioned, yes, it's visually appealing, but severely falls short in decent, caring, and loving staff service!
