"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
Some of the people who work there aren't very nice to the residents. Since everyone there is old, some staff treat them like they're not smart. The food is usually good, but there were a few weeks when it was really bad, maybe because of new staff. I understand that older people who don't feel well can be grumpy, but the staff shouldn't talk down to them. My dad's had problems with the TV since he moved in. Some staff who don't know anything about TVs keep saying it's broken because of the weather, which is not true. There are some things that need to get better, like I said. But overall, I would still say it's a good place, even though nowhere is perfect.

"Caring staff but not ideal for those who wander"
They really do care about their residents. It was the only place I saw where people were actively doing things instead of just sitting around, which I liked. However, they can't keep track of everything, so if you have someone who shouldn't be alone and might wander off, this isn't the right place. My mom had to move to memory care in December because she wandered off, and the police had to bring her back just 15 minutes later.

"Great Staff and Fun Activities"
The staff is awesome! One person in particular was super helpful, patient, and friendly. Everyone there is really nice and does more than expected to take care of the residents. It feels more like a retirement community than an assisted living place. They plan lots of activities and encourage everyone to join in and have fun.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We chose this place because it was affordable and nearby. The activities manager was often taken away from helping residents to focus on sales. They don't have enough staff, so many things are overlooked. My loved one's eating habits did get better there. Unfortunately, the shuttle driver left, so they missed out on many events.

"Maintenance and Food Quality Need Improvement at Assisted Living Facility"
The maintenance needs to be better here. My mom's kitchen faucet has been broken since she moved in on [date removed]. They keep saying they will fix it, but it still isn't done. Also, when someone enters an apartment, they should lock the door behind them. My mom has slept with the door unlocked several times after getting her evening pills. The food quality needs to improve, and they should get someone who knows how to run a kitchen. I did catering for over 400 people every day for 13 years, so I know their kitchen needs work.

"Assisted Living Review: Affordable, Social, Communication Needs Improvement"
I think for what you pay, it's pretty much what you'd figure. It's not all fancy-schmancy, but my family member has met some buddies, feels like they're doing more stuff on their own, and is about as happy as they can be at this age. So, I'd call it a success. At the start, talking with them wasn't easy. But they did put in effort to help my family member adjust and start hanging out with others.

"Nice facility facing staff and maintenance challenges, but good care"
This facility is nice, and we're generally happy with it. They’re dealing with staff turnover, which is affecting things. Housekeeping is good, but there are lots of schedule changes due to staffing. They have a new chef and are having trouble with supply issues, which affects the variety of meals and leads to substitutions. Despite these challenges, they're doing a very good job. Their efforts are sincere, and they’re working hard to keep things running smoothly. The care here is excellent, and they make extra effort to keep residents social and active. Maintenance is also an issue because the facility is older and needs many repairs. Due to staffing problems, repairs are slow. They just need more attentive maintenance. I would recommend them to family and friends.

"Fantastic Assisted Living with Great Staff, Activities, and Food"
I met with the owner who are amazing, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. I could call them anytime with any question I had. This place is beautiful, clean, and full of energy. There are so many activities that the residents love, like a store run by residents, a quarterly auction, happy hours, and community outings. The menu has lots of options, and the food portions are generous and tasty. I would absolutely want to spend my golden years here. The staff is fantastic, friendly, and helpful too.

"Friendly staff, good food, and active community"
My mom really enjoys living here. She loves the food; it’s balanced with lots of choices each day. There’s also plenty of extra snacks between meals. She gets along well with the staff, who are attentive to her needs, and she’s formed close friendships with many of them. We’ve had a few issues, like delays with her medications and a backed-up toilet since she moved in, but they’re working on it. Housekeeping does her laundry weekly, empties the trash daily, and helps with her bed. They offer fun activities like bingo and happy hours, and even had kids come sing carols during the holidays. There’s always something new and fun happening. Although there have been a few problems, they fix them quickly. I like that it’s a smaller, family-oriented community. I would recommend them.

So far, my mom's stay here has been good. But, we might move her soon because her rent is going up a lot. The staff is nice, but sometimes they don't talk to the managers. At first, we had some problems, but we talked to the bosses, and they fixed them. We chose this place because we liked the people. The residents are active, not just sitting around. Since moving my mom here, things have been going very well. She enjoys herself and goes out to eat on Thursdays. The staff is friendly and nice, and the community is clean and looks very nice. Mom also enjoys the food. The best part is that it offers continuous care. Mom starts in the independent living section, but if anything happens, she can easily transition to assisted living without leaving the campus.

"The Best Place for My Mom!"
My mother and I are SO HAPPY we found this place! She had been in two other independent living homes before finding Court at Round Rock, and this is THE place to be! My mom is always talking about how amazing the food is and how great the staff is. Chef Becky cooks fresh meals every day no processed or frozen food!, and the meals are served like at a restaurant. You get a menu, choose what you want, and they are very flexible if you need to change something like substituting ingredients or getting more of something. They even have a weekly Happy Hour! The staff really cares. There’s someone at the front desk 24/7, seven managers, and multiple activity directors to keep everyone busy! The apartments come with a full kitchen (though you might not use it), a nice garden area, a HUGE exercise room, and more. I’ve never seen my mom this happy in years. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone at Court at Round Rock for making my mom feel so welcome and special.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Accessibility Expectations"
I chose The Court for my Mother because it had everything I wanted at a good price compared to others. But, I'm upset they didn't tell me they don't provide grab bars for the toilet in the independent living area. I asked if it was handicap friendly and was told yes. Court at Round Rock is a pleasant Retirement Community. While it wasn't the right fit for me, the people I encountered were friendly and appeared content. "Helpful Facility Lacked, Salesman-Like Staff Instead"
Being at the facility was okay, but the folks working there were not as welcoming or supportive as those at the location we ended up picking. They did not do anything extra to assist us. They acted a whole lot like smooth-talking sales representatives. They were determined that she needed to be in the assisted living section, promising to reassess her every three months. They offered three levels of care, and clearly she would keep moving up through those. But the thing is, she just doesn't have the funds to keep going like that.

I believe that as you settle into any place, and as they address the little issues, the overall experience will improve. That's where we stand now.
