"Understaffing Issues Raise Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom stays in Waxahachie. She's supposed to get one medicine three times a day, but they said sorry, they're short on staff now. That's not right. I think the people cutting staff hours should visit and talk to patients to understand how it affects them. But I doubt they would. We might need to find a different place. Corporate should listen to patients instead of just caring about money.

"Kind staff and perfect environment make Morada a great choice"
We’ve had Mom at Morada for a few months now. From the start, the staff has been very helpful and kind. The environment is perfect for Mom, and my sisters and I are happy with our choice.

"Excellent staff but management and staffing need improvement"
The day staff on both shifts are excellent. However, the management needs improvement since they’re often understaffed. They really are short on staff most of the time. The food portions can be small, but the food quality is getting better. Overall, I’m very happy with the residents; everyone is very kind.

"Wonderful staff and facility; excellent care and great food."
This facility is fantastic. The nurses were amazing with my mother. They worked with me to keep her there even when her needs changed. She loved the place and the food. She had a button to call the nurses anytime, and they always came right away to help. They took great care of her. I would recommend this place to anyone.

"Mixed Review: Small Rooms, Helpful Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
The rooms are kinda tiny and I'm not too confident about the safety of the doors. The lady at the front desk on Saturday was really nice though, she showed me around.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Mixed Feelings"
My mom thought it was okay, but there were too many empty rooms. Also, they told us to come for lunch but seemed unaware. If they mix up lunch, what else might they mess up?

"Best Choice, Best Care, Best Staff!"
My mom moved to one of their newly remodeled apartments and loves it! The rooms have full-size fridges, big showers, and ceiling fans. Covenant Place isn't the fanciest, but the care is great, and they have experienced staff. Jennifer was helpful and compassionate. We recommend it!

"Questionable Claims and Lack of Transparency at Covenant Place"
In response to someone who was happy with Covenant Place in 2015, I want to share my experience. My mom has lived there for 6 years. They said all residents wear alert necklaces and have a memory care unit, but that's not true. Their other place, Buffalo Creek, has a memory care unit, not Covenant Place. I'm not surprised Jennifer said these things, but it's not right. We're considering moving mom because of this dishonesty.

"Misleading Info at Covenant Place, Searching for Alternative"
This note goes out to the person who, back in October 2015, seemed really happy with She. This person mentioned that all the residents use alert necklaces and that a memory care unit is available. I've got to set the record straight - my mom has lived at Covenant Place for six years, and not every resident wears an alert necklace. Plus, there isn't a memory care unit. There is one at their sister property, Buffalo Creek, a short 1 - 2 miles away. I wouldn't be shocked if She misled you about this stuff. Because of this kind of dishonesty from the management, we're exploring other places for mom.

"Good, homey place with affordable prices; needs more night staff"
So far, it’s been good. They need more help at night for giving out medication. We liked that it felt more like home than others nearby. It was also more reasonably priced compared to many others.

"Positive Experience Overall"
Our experience has been positive so far. However, they could use more nighttime assistance for medication distribution. We appreciate the cozy atmosphere compared to other facilities in the area, and their pricing is reasonable.

"Great facility with helpful staff and special care options"
I was really impressed with this place. Jennifer was super helpful and did everything she could to find a home for my parents. I like that all the seniors wear alert necklaces for safety. It’s great that there’s a special memory wing for my dad, so he won’t need to be moved if his care needs increase. She is also working with me to manage my mother’s diabetes, so she can stay with my dad. This seems like a perfect solution for us.

"Unsatisfactory Food Quality and Hollow Activity Choices"
My key discontent resides in the way the food is prepared and presented in this facility. It mostly tastes like it's been 90% fried and it lacks enough seasoning. Most of the offerings seem to be pre-purchased in a frozen state before being made ready to eat. Sadly, it doesn't resemble food that's been freshly cooked by a skilled chef. The coffee provided here is truly unbearable. As I've come to discover, it is pre-packaged and frozen, then later thawed and brewed, giving it an unpleasant taste. Veggies like brussel sprouts and broccoli are excessively cooked, leaving them tasting like a soft puree. The carrots are overly sweetened, making them akin to dessert rather than a wholesome vegetable. Moreover, when spinach is on the menu, vinegar is notably absent, which is also the case with grilled cheese sandwiches. Having spent my entire life in Texas, this is the first time I've encountered a grilled cheese sandwich served without accompanying dill pickles. Being particularly fond of them, I've resorted to buying my own pickles, and plan to do the same for vinegar to use with spinach. I do genuinely wish they offered more computer-related activities. Thus concludes my feedback.

"More activities needed; friendly staff and clean facilities praised"
I think my mom would be happier with more activities. She usually stays inside unless someone she knows takes her out. Most activities are Wii bowling and outings. She says she exercises less here than when she was at my brother's. She participates, but doesn’t enjoy Wii bowling and doesn’t play cards or checkers. The people here are very friendly, both the residents and the staff. Mom gets along well with everyone. Our pastor visited and was impressed with the cleanliness. Mom appreciated that someone actually sat down with us to discuss her needs. Her room is very open, and she has a little bird feeder outside.

Certainly! Let's rephrase that 2-star review of the assisted living facility while maintaining a similar tone and using 8th-grade level American English: --- **Title: A Mixed Experience at the Assisted Living Facility** --- I don't think they were fully prepared for our visit. I called a little before 11 to let them know we'd be about 30 minutes late (though we were only 20 minutes behind schedule). The person I spoke to said lunch was served at 11:45, so we'd eat first and then take a tour. Upon arrival, he walked us into the lobby and asked us to wait there while he ensured our table was ready. We waited for 10-15 minutes before he returned to escort us to the private dining room, which had been set up just for us. Surprisingly, he didn't inquire if we wanted any residents to join us. He seemed quite busy, darting in and out of the room, leaving us alone and then rejoining us. During our meal, he sat with us briefly to ask questions about my mom's needs, but then disappeared again. Interestingly, he was dressed in jeans, a Rangers shirt, and flip-flops. He even mentioned that we caught him on a Friday, which explained his casual attire. Strangely, none of the other staff we saw were dressed so informally. Two ladies entered the room, and although I wasn't sure of their job titles, they took our food orders and delivered our meals. They also mentioned managing medications and performing other tasks around the facility. One of them was friendly, but the other seemed less personable. The silverware had water spots, which I can overlook, but one of my forks was quite dirty. It seemed like it hadn't seen the inside of a dishwasher after its last use. I didn't make a fuss, but I did mention it to him. He was visibly embarrassed and quickly replaced the fork. As for the food, the salad was decent, but the potatoes in the potato soup were still crunchy. The chicken fried steak appeared to be pre-formed frozen meat, and the roll was just okay. Overall, our experience was a mix of positives and negatives. Hopefully, they can improve in certain areas to provide a better experience for future visitors¹²³. "Underwhelming tour and lackluster dining at Assisted Living Facility"
Our tour of the assisted living facility wasn't great. I called them around 11 in the morning to tell them we would be about a half hour late, but we ended up only being 20 minutes late. When we got there, the guy we were meeting with told us that we would have lunch before he showed us around. He took us into the lobby and told us to wait for a bit while he prepared our table. He left us there for almost 15 minutes before coming back to take us to the private dining room that had been set up just for us. He didn't ask us if we wanted to have lunch with some of the residents and he kept going in and out of the room, leaving us by ourselves a lot. Even though he told us he usually eats there, he said he was going to take his lunch to his office. He did, however, sit with us for a little while during lunch to ask about my mom and what she needs. He didn't stay the whole time, though—he kept disappearing. He was dressed fairly casually, wearing jeans, a Rangers shirt, and flip flops. He said he was only dressed like that because it was a Friday. We didn't see any other employees dressed as casually as he was. Two women came in, presumably to help us with our meal—I'm not really sure what their job titles were, but they were the ones who took our orders and brought us our food. Apparently, they also handle medication and did other jobs around the building. One of them was pretty friendly and the other one wasn't. I noticed that all of the silverware had water spots on them. I guess that's not really surprising, but one of my forks was clearly dirty—I'm not sure if it had been washed since it was last used. The guy seemed really embarrassed when I told him and he quickly replaced it. The food wasn't amazing. The salad was okay, the potato soup had crunchy potatoes in it, the chicken fried steak was clearly from the freezer, and the roll was just okay. We didn't get a choice for drinks—we were given iced tea. My friend did ask for coffee, which they brought her. We had checked off that we wanted dessert on our meal checklist, but the guy showed us around before it came. The tour started in the dining room, where my friend and me stopped to talk to a few of the residents. It seemed like the guy giving us the tour was uncomfortable with us doing that. One resident was really excited about the fish he was going to get and loved telling someone about it. Another resident at a different table seemed pretty upset. He was sitting at a table with three other people, but he was the only one without food. A staff member put a bottle of ketchup in front of the him, but he moved it to the side, saying that he wanted his food. The staff member replied in a slightly snarky tone, asking if he had ordered anything that day. In the middle of our tour, one of the women who had helped us with our food had to come pick up her sick baby from daycare and was walking through the hall with him in just a diaper. Overall, the whole tour was a bit of a mess and I probably won't consider this place.

"Impressive Tour at Covenant Place"
We really liked Covenant Place. The director couldn't meet us for our appointment, but we met other friendly folks who gave us a great tour. I was impressed by how well the residents and staff got along.
