"Bridge Between Rehab and Home"

My wife thought the facility was clean, the food was good, and the people were nice. From my point of view, the assisted living center served its purpose as a bridge between rehab and home. The staff were firm yet gentle with the residents. The main downside was that promised speech therapy wasn't delivered; I had to find my own. Additionally, more engaging daily activities would benefit the residents. Overall, it was probably a 3.5-star experience.

"Top Choice for Assisted Living"

I think Double Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care is a good place to recommend to a friend.

"Double Creek Falls Short in Resident Care"

Every place I've been treats residents like they're just frail, elderly people. Their uniqueness gets ignored. Staff does their job—serving food and delivering meds. I chose Double Creek because I liked [name removed] (ED) and thought she'd be responsive to needs.

"Assisted Living Nightmare: Bad Care, Unsympathetic Management"

I put my mom and dad there last year. It was awful. Mom has Alzheimer's and stayed in the memory care area while dad was in assisted living. Both had bad times, but mom's was the worst. We moved them to a better place fast. The people in charge there don't seem to care.

"Staff Kind, Meals Okay, More Staff Needed - Decent Overall Experience"

Our time at Double Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care was okay. The people who work there are really nice, and the food they make for the residents is alright. But, it seems like they could use some extra help with staffing.

"Friendly Care with a Top Hospice Team"

Double Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care is a nice place. I’d tell anyone to consider it. While they had some issues with management, the caregivers were always helpful. The Medicare team was good, but the doctor visit wasn’t great. The Hospice folks were the best.

"Mixed Review"

Certainly! Here's a revised version of the review in simpler language: --- **The Good:** - The place is clean, and the staff is caring. - They organize lots of activities and events for families. - Meals come in a variety of options. - They celebrate holidays and special occasions. - Concerns are mostly addressed. - The Sagely app lets staff share pictures with families on Facebook. **The Not So Good:** - Memory care seems understaffed (only 1 aide per floor). - Caregivers are stretched thin, helping many residents at once. - Bathrooms aren't kept clean. - Some caregivers interact better with residents than others. - Staff communication needs improvement. - Advocacy and frequent visits are essential for quality care. 🌟 ---

"Mixed Experience with Double Creek Assisted Living Facility"

Our family visited Double Creek for a tour and felt they are more suitable for assisted living. The activities for assisted living were great. However, we were not impressed with the memory care staff. The memory care unit is on the second floor, and we felt unsafe with it being on the upper level. They could not provide a clear plan for evacuating in case of a fire. There is a support group for families, which is helpful. During the interview, they focused more on my needs rather than explaining the care. We did not go upstairs to see the rest of the facility. Overall, based on what I saw in the assisted living area, I think it was good.

"Diligent Care and Communication Shine at Double Creek Assisted Living"

Families should always speak up for their loved ones in assisted living. Make sure the facility is doing their job well. I do wish Double Creek had more than one aide per floor. Having two would greatly improve care. But overall, I'm happy with what they do for my loved one. They work hard and respond promptly to any concerns I raise.

"Small outdoor area lacks scenic view, otherwise pleasant community."

This community was nice. I didn't like that they had a small outdoor space for the residents, and there wasn't a nice view.

"Inconsistent Care and Payment Issues"

The assisted living facility is okay, but they don't have enough staff in the memory care unit. Because of the shortage, the staff sometimes have to work extra shifts, and the care isn't always as good as it should be. Also, they make us pay by check each month instead of directly withdrawing the money. When my father passed away last month, they still automatically took a payment from his account the following month, which took almost 60 days to refund.

"Enthusiastic staff, but ongoing understaffing and cleanliness problems."

Staff enthusiastic, but understaffing and cleanliness issues persist, affecting care.

"Mixed Feelings About Double Creek Assisted Living Facility"

I kinda liked Double Creek, but it's too close to the highway. Also, there's nowhere for my family member to take a walk outside.

"Recommended for friendly staff and good communication."

We picked Double Creek because it's close to home. It's cute, with super friendly staff. Communication is good. I'd recommend it.
