Elan Westpointe is a fairly new place and super clean. When I visited, it looked nice, but I can't be sure what living there is really like.

I think Elan Westpointe is a good place. Sometimes they don't respond quickly to the alert button, maybe because of staffing. The food isn't perfect, but overall, I'd still recommend it. The staff seems caring.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short Amid Pandemic Challenges"
Even though I understand there's a tough situation with the pandemic affecting staffing, Elan Westpointe really struggles with it. They hardly do any cleaning, transportation for appointments stopped since [date removed], and there's a shortage of nursing staff. Some residents had to hire private help, no grocery trips, sporadic salon services, and no maintenance person onsite. Plus, they don't offer rent discounts. The remaining staff is great, but activities depend on lockdown rules and meal quality varies. Sometimes it's good, other times not so much, like the night they had to order pizza due to bad food. Residents even went without hot water for days. It's sad for those without nearby family to help out. This needs looking into!

"Overall positive experience."
We picked Elan Westpointe because they offer many activities in the memory care unit and specialize in working with dementia patients. The staff is friendly, and the facility is pleasant. The food is delicious, and Mom enjoys it. While it took some time to adjust to her routine, we're making progress. I'd recommend them to friends with parents who have dementia.

"Mixed Experience at Elan Assisted Living"
Elan is a nice spot for my mom. A lady from a Place for Mom really helped me find this great apartment-style living for her. Another at Elan made my mom feel comfortable. Like anywhere, Elan can do better, especially with the food, but overall, it was a good choice for us.

"Mixed Review: Friendly Residents, But Poor Service and Medical Care"
I guess it's alright overall. But they keep messing up the billing. They don't properly clean the rooms each week. They are often understaffed and can't attend to my mom right away when she needs them. They even sent my mom to the hospital once in an ambulance for no decent reason. They didn't even care about a rash my mom had. They're not that great at taking care of medical stuff. On the bright side, the people living there seem nice and friendly.

"A Welcoming Community Celebrating Life at Any Age"
I really love this community! The staff are warm and friendly from the moment you walk in. When I was searching for a place to work and support, I brought my mom along to tour a few places. We both enjoyed the super friendly residents and the fun activities. The place is clean, close to everything, and celebrates living your best life at any age.

"Considering lawsuit, wouldn't recommend for family care"
I'm really thinking about suing them for wrongfully causing death. I wouldn't suggest letting them care for any family members.

"Newest, best assisted living with great food and activities"
Elan Westpointe is the newest and nicest assisted living place in New Braunfels. The staff is very friendly and caring to residents and their families. The cafeteria offers three meal choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you want something different, they have a Bistro menu with sandwiches, burgers, salads, and more. The food is great! Housekeeping cleans your apartment and washes your sheets and clothes once a week, and trash is taken out daily. There's a beauty salon, a library, and a game room with a pool table. They have daily activities and a Friday Happy Hour with music, drinks, and beer. This is a great community for those who need help or just want to be well cared for. They offer studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

"Director's efforts lead to improvements at Elan Westpointe"
I’ve reviewed Elan Westpointe in New Braunfels, TX, twice now. After talking with the Director, I think they’re addressing the issues I mentioned before. They’re still working on other improvements too. I believe the Director is great for this community. Thanks!

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place before, but I'll give it another shot. When we toured the facility, there was a resident at the front desk. She couldn't find the room keys or remember what was happening. It felt like she couldn't handle the desk. The fire alarm went off during our tour, and she didn't know what to do. The facility was clean but seemed empty. I'll come back when someone else is at the desk.

"Good food, but weekend kitchen and climate control need work"
The air conditioning and heating can be hard to manage. The food is usually very tasty, but the kitchen needs more help on weekends.
