"Don't go here"
Terrible experience for my spouse's mother. 60,000 a year is paid to these people and she gets poor help. The restroom help call button is frequently ignored. It is humiliating to soil yourself because a the staff ignores the call button. Terrible staff, and even worse management.

"Awful Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is just crawling with bed bugs! The staff treatment is absolutely terrible, right from the top boss to the lowest-level workers. Nobody ever speaks the truth! The people living there are always causing trouble to other residents. Not only that, they're constantly understaffed which means the good workers are overworked. It takes them forever to respond to calls - forget about 7 minutes, they take 27! One of the staff members told my dear one that the water was too cold to give a shower. Can you believe this went on for an entire week? They also double-diaper my loved one. I even had to hire a sitter just to ensure everything is done right. And don't get me started about (RSD) - I've tried getting in touch with him but he never returns my calls. On top of everything else, is just plain rude!

"Pleasant Staff and Clean Rooms, Somewhat Overpowering Scent"
I visited this place when seeking a home for my Mom. The guide was pleasant and seemed to really know her stuff. She promptly answered each question I asked her. The resident rooms were tidy, and the people there looked okay. Yet, the place had a funny smell, like they used tons of air fresheners. We opted not to choose this place as I disliked the location and it was too far from me. Although it wasn't the right choice for my Mom, I'd still suggest other families check it out.

"Insufficient Staff Negatively Impacting Resident Care at Elmcroft"
As someone who visits Elmcroft of Braeswood regularly (once or twice weekly for the last year), I've noticed that there's not enough staff a lot of the time. This results in poor cleanliness and lack of help for many residents with their personal care. There's a big problem with folks are quitting their jobs too quickly, and this includes the top bosses. I sometimes wonder how this place can pass state inspections and still get good reviews from and maybe other companies who advertise home care for older people. It was hard for me to write this review because I like everything else about Elmcroft. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming but doesn't provide the level of personal care that each resident deserves and needs, and they are actually paying for. I've even visited my older relative who needs help with baths and have found him a week later still dirty, in the same bed sheets, and the same clothes and underwear he had on the week I saw him before.

"Good, But Could Use Improvement"
This assisted living place is alright, and we appreciate that it's always neat and tidy. The people who work here are nice, but they could be better at communicating. We were sort of let down by the level of attention and care. We've noticed that sometimes they forget to do things for my mom, like giving her water and some self-care stuff. We're hoping they'll make some changes. You might want to check out this place if you're looking for a home for a family member.

"Improvements Desperately Required at Facility"
I'm uncertain about this place. They seem to have a lot of new faces and problems finding enough workers. My biggest issue is with their sanitary conditions. The room was unclean when my family member first moved in. There were traces of poop on the toilet and the dining area smells of pee. The staff members are polite and friendly, they just need to make huge improvements.

""Friendly Jill can't Mask Pee Smell and Overpriced Rates""
Jill was friendly, but otherwise, I wasn't impressed with this place. The lobby and corridors to the resident rooms reeked of pee. Plus, the bathroom in the example apartment had an awful stench like a sewer. What they're asking for just doesn't match up to how it looks. The best part about the place is it's near TMC.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Cleanliness and Communication"
The community seemed clean, but they didn't clean our loved one's apartment well. The staff were friendly, but they didn't always do what they said they would. They were short-staffed and couldn't keep up with basic cleaning. Sometimes our loved one was left in soiled depends for hours. The meals were good when they had a chef, but they started delivering them in a box, which wasn't good.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
Our family visited for a tour, and the sales team was nice. They made us think it would be perfect for our loved one. But, we saw less assisted living than we expected. It felt almost like it wasn't quite enough. The assisted living part seemed really old and not very nice, while the independent living part was new and bright with a good vibe.
