"Decline after director change, charges for unfulfilled services, poor food."
My family and I had a good experience when we first moved into this assisted living facility. However, things started to go downhill after the director left. We began getting charged extra for services like laundry and bed-making, even though they weren't actually happening. The quality of the food also declined over time. During one visit, I noticed that residents were being served corn dogs and fries without any fruits or vegetables in sight. Despite these issues, many of the staff members are still great. If they can make improvements, this could be a wonderful place to live.

The Hetsel Family
"Harbor Chase is a caring and safe place for Grandma!"
I would recommend Harbor Chase to anyone looking for a safe, homey place for their loved one. It’s not too big or intimidating, which we really liked. The staff feels like family after just a few weeks, and my Grandmother thrived there. They got her involved in activities that truly surprised us! She wasn’t usually one to join in, but they had her going on field trips, doing artwork, and loving it. From the Executive Director to the Head of Patient Care, the Billing staff, and even the front desk, everyone is amazing and truly cares. I could always reach out to any of them and get a response within hours. They made themselves available, not just for the residents but for their families too. Before moving in, Grandma spent a few months at a sister property. She was turning 102, and we wanted to have a surprise birthday party for her. I asked if they could gather her bingo buddies from next door and bring them over to celebrate with Grandma. They were so excited to do it, they even brought extra folks who were moving into Harbor Chase so Grandma could meet them too! After she moved in, they would load her into the van (she was in a wheelchair) and take her to bingo at her old apartment complex twice a week so she could still see her friends. Grandma just passed away, and they went above and beyond with her care right to the end. I can’t say enough about how much they meant to our whole family.

"Nice place but too expensive for a tight budget"
I visited the community for a tour, and I liked it. It was a newer place, but the cost was too high for me. I found that there aren't many good options for assisted living if you're on a tight budget.
