"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Communication and Maintenance"
The people working there didn't talk well with each other or with me. Sometimes they said different things and I couldn't find the boss or the nurse to ask. Also, they took a long time to fix things, like a broken toilet paper holder, even after I reminded them. I wasn't sure if they cleaned my loved one's room properly because it smelled like a dog.

The community is lively and full of love! I enjoyed seeing residents busy with activities during my visit. I also like that they have salon services.

"Welcoming Environment with Excellent Activities and Staff, Communication Lacking"
It's a nice place for families. My mother-in-law settled in easily. Sometimes, when I ask about her health, the nursing director doesn't respond promptly. I have to call to get updates. The meals are really good, and the staff is super friendly. There's a lot to do there. She enjoys going to church, playing dominoes and cards, and has made many friends.

"Good care and improvements, but room for more progress"
My mom has lived here for almost 5 years. I think she gets good care from nice people. I've seen better communication and services over the last year. I’d recommend Wells Point Lodge to anyone looking for a place for their loved one. Since there’s always room for improvement, I give WPL 4 stars.

"Assisted Living Disappoints with Pricey Costs and Limited Menu Choices"
We didn't like this place. It cost a lot and the food options weren't good. They did devotional stuff every day, but we weren't into that.

"Improving Care and Engagement at Wells Pt. Lodge"
It looks like things have really improved. We switched to Wells Pt. Lodge. The staff seems happier. The person who plans activities is really awesome! She always has something fun for the residents. She puts up pictures on Facebook so families can see what's going on. We enjoy having family council meetings. They keep us informed about everything going on around the lodge.

"Mind the Contract: Assisted Living Facility Disregards Client Needs"
My mom struggles with dementia, so we needed a place that could offer round-the-clock care. When my sister and mother visited the place, they initially seemed to like it. A move-in date was decided, but before that, we had to agree to some terms and conditions. I struggled to get a copy of it in advance, but eventually they gave in. They expected us to sign a lengthy contract during a meeting without having enough time to read it properly. Besides, a clause mentioned that certain behaviors, most of which are related to dementia, would result in eviction. When I spoke to the authorities about it, they mentioned many of their residents also had memory issues. I was worried we'd pay a huge community fee and my mother would be evicted for the behaviors noted in the contract. They reassured me, asking to trust their way of doing business. Unluckily, after less than a month, they asked us to either take our mother back or arrange someone to supervise her when the doors were open and unattended. There was also an incident with her roommate who tossed something at her. Despite my sister's initial request during the tour for a different roommate, the staff didn't take any action. If you're considering this place for the care of a loved one, think carefully and read the agreement thoroughly.

"Absolutely Horrific Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Our experience here was terrible, and I would strongly advise against choosing this place. They seem more interested in exploiting us rather than providing proper care for the residents. They claim they can handle residents with dementia, but the fine print in their contract suggests they can remove someone if they show symptoms of dementia. The people in charge here - the executive and the director, are not competent. They were deceptive and uncooperative. They don't take your concerns into account, even if you give them a month's notice to adjust. They just assure you that everything will be okay. The only good thing is that the residents are friendly.

"Steer Clear of this Heartless, Deceptive Assisted Living Facility!"
They expect an instant signature on a lengthy 50-page lease that's not even read through, loaded with hitches designed for their safety. They claim to take in folks with Dementia, but it seems every regular symptom of this illness offers them a legal pass to forcefully remove your family member and pocket the significant $1500 community fee. All this while lying to your face with deceptive smiles and zero compassion for the residents. Their overruling interest is money, and pleas for your loved ones well-being will fall on deaf ears. They'd rather have heavily sedated residents who won't be able to make a peep. Don't fall for anything the facility’s head assures you! This place will sap your loved one dry and make them utterly miserable. There's a myriad of better options out there. Do yourself a favor and choose a more loving, warmer alternative to this unwelcoming, icy, and pitiful place.

"Helpful tour and guidance; Facility too small for parents and pet"
It was good at guiding me around and giving me contact information for a woman who helps with Veterans' financial stuff. The place was a bit too tiny for my parents and their pet dog, but it was pretty nice.

"Decent Place, But Better For Less Independent Folks!"
This place feels a bit like an old nursing home. My husband, being quite self-reliant, didn't quite fit in here. However, we did meet some friendly staff and overall, the place looked clean.

"They Excel at Welcoming and Engaging Residents"
They did an awesome job with my loved one, making him feel welcome when he arrived at the facility. They go out of their way to ensure he participates in activities, especially during this challenging transition.

"Great place, mostly reliable, with friendly staff."
I really like Heatherwilde Assisted Living. It's clean and neat, and the folks who work there are mostly nice and seem to know what they're doing. Sometimes, though, I've had some problems with getting my medicine on time, which is a bit frustrating. But overall, it's been a good experience.

"“Cozy Assisted Living with Friendly Vibes”"
The rooms are a good size, but there could be more plants around the patios. The smaller facility feels cozy and welcoming.

"Excellent Care - Homelike atmosphere"
Our Mom has been at Heatherwilde for a little over two years. She needs extra care because of her memory problems. The staff is really attentive and caring. Her room is always tidy and clean. We picked this place because it feels like home, and we thought Mom would be more comfortable here. After coming back from the hospital recently, Mom said she was happy to be back 'home.' We're so glad we chose Heatherwilde; it's the right place for her.

"Beautiful, but a little big, and a little expensive."
This community was one of the places we thought about when we were exploring our options. It felt really nice, and the staff was friendly. However, it was a bit pricey and a tad too large for our needs.

"I think it's a good all around facility."
When I visit the assisted living facility, I notice a lack of visible staff. More presence would be nice. Overall, it's a good place.

"Unprepared Staff, Disoriented Residents at Far-Flung Facility"
She wasn't at the place, instead, it was a medical assistant who didn't even know we were coming. I had planned with her to show up at 4 pm, which is when they're giving out meds, so we had to wait for the assistant to stop handing out medicine. The people living there seemed confused and couldn't have a clear chat with my dad. We didn't stick around for the full tour. Pfluggerville's too much of a trip from Austin.

"Friendly, clean facility with strong community and Christian feel"
They've been amazing so far. They encourage everyone to join activities, eat together, and promote a strong community spirit. The staff and residents are all very friendly. There's a strong Christian vibe with regular church volunteer visits. The facility looks great and is always clean and well-maintained.

"My dad's new home"
Heatherwilde is a fantastic place—it's clean and feels like home. The residents and staff are friendly, always smiling. They help my dad with everything and encourage him to join activities. He's making new friends and enjoying their company. His room is consistently tidy, and the bed is always made. I'm glad I chose this place for him.

"Lack of Urgency Unforgivable!"
My mom suffered a stroke at the facility and it took them 5 hours to tell me about it. Not only that, they hadn't called for any medical assistance before I arrived. They delayed and waited for me, which is not okay. I wouldn't encourage anyone to utilize their services.
