"Mixed Experience with Memory Care; Nursing Home Care Excellently Managed"
I was worried about the memory care section not keeping an eye on the folks there. My husband had a tough time – he fell out of bed three times in just two days. Then, he caught pneumonia and had to move to the nursing home part. But we were really happy with how the staff took care of him in the nursing home area.

"Mixed Feelings: Understaffed and Cleanliness Issues at Kruse Village"
My family member lives at Kruse Village. Most workers are nice, but they need more help. The place looks tidy when you walk in, but my family member's bathroom isn't as clean as I'd like. They don't communicate with us unless I start it. Moving in was easy. I'm not happy with the food's look, taste, or temperature. Meds are a problem too; sometimes they're late or not reordered on time.

"Convenient Location, But Needs Better Communication"
We picked this place because it's close by. The staff and the admin team should talk to the family more. Overall, I would still tell others to check out Kruse Village.

"Decent Assisted Living with Varied Care Options"
They don't have enough staff. It's an old place but it's kept pretty well. I think it's worth the money. They also have rehab and independent living, and a part for nursing home care. I would definitely tell others to consider Kruse Village.

"Disappointing Experience at Kruse Village Assisted Living Facility"
My family moved my Dad to Kruse Village for better care, but it didn't meet expectations. Dad's room wasn't ready as promised. No help during meal times. Dad was left alone a lot. Other residents wandered into his room without permission. One even used his toilet. Found feces in Dad's recliner. Moved Dad out after foul odor incident. He passed away shortly after leaving.

"Convenient and Welcoming Assisted Living with Good Food and Service"
This assisted living facility has different buildings and various types of apartments to choose from. The food is okay, served like in a restaurant. We picked this place because it’s near our family and they said good things about it. When we visited, they were punctual for our appointment. The community director gave us the tour and answered all our questions. I would definitely tell other families to consider this community.

"Disappointing Room Conditions in Assisted Living Facility"
The place was alright, but the room wasn't great. It was messy from the last person, and I couldn't picture how it would look with my dad's stuff. It was too tiny, and there weren't any other choices.

"New Owners Result in Terrible Care at Assisted Living Facility"
Man, I don't even know where to begin here. My folks are living in this place. My dad had to go to the memory part (that's assisted living) after he started forgetting stuff. It was pretty good service there, till they got a new main nurse. Then he needed more help, so they sent him to the Long Term Care (LTC) area. Can you believe it? He walked there all by himself. But in less than a week, he ended up all curled up and barely awake in the ER. Then there's my mom, they're supposed to be checking in on her every hour in the assisted living place, but they're not. The care there is horrible. We're actually thinking about moving them somewhere else. The LTC unit is just plain bad. The place used to be pretty good, but it's gotten way worse since the new owners took over. I remember how great it was when my great-aunt stayed there about 5 years ago. But now, with the new owners, the care's just awful.

"Terrible Care at Nursing Home Under New Management"
Wow, I don't even know where to begin. My parents are currently staying at this establishment. They originally put my dad in the memory unit (assisted living), where he was well-taken care of, but all that changed when they switched head nurses. Ultimately, dad needed more attention, so they moved him to a Long Term Care unit. Unbelievably, it took just four days for him to move from walking into the unit to nearly comatose in the ER. As for mom, she's in assisted living and they claim to check on her every hour, but I doubt it. The level of care is simply unacceptable. We're seriously thinking about relocating them. I don't know what happened to the Long Term Care unit - it's slipped big time. This place was so much better before it was sold to the new owners. My great aunt was a patient five years ago, and everything was top-notch. These new owners, their care is absolutely atrocious.

"Impressed with Kruse Village; considering moving into a duplex"
I had a great visit with the owner and was really impressed with Kruse Village. I’m thinking about moving into one of their duplexes. She is a nice town, not too crowded, with good places to eat. I met and talked with several seniors living at Kruse Village, and they all love it.
