"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Service Expectations"
My family has been really let down by the service at Heartis lately. Several times, my mom had to wait over an hour for breakfast because the cooks didn't come in. The servers are really slow, and sometimes everyone else has to help out. The people who are supposed to answer the call buttons take forever to show up. It's a nice place with lots of promise, but they're having big problems with their staff.

"Inadequate Staff and Care: Avoid for Loved Ones"
The place looks nice, but there aren't enough workers. Don't bring your loved ones here. At night, the care isn't enough, hardly there. They don't answer when patients call. Some workers are okay, but mostly, it's not caring or loving.

"Assisted Living Falls Short: Sparse Amenities, No Kitchen Facilities"
I didn't feel comfortable at this place. And there's no proper kitchen here.

I wasn't too impressed with this spot. It really lacks a proper kitchen.

"Great Care and Support for Mom After Hospital Stay"
I’m really thankful for the staff on the 4th floor - skilled nursing - for taking such good care of my mom after she came home from the hospital. The therapists were helpful and positive. My mom left feeling much stronger and better. I felt completely at ease knowing she was getting the care she needed while she was there.

"Wonderful rehab experience with friendly staff and great care"
I spent 2 weeks at rehab, and everything was great. The rehab staff did an amazing job, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Every staff member, from nursing to housekeeping to activities, made me feel like I was part of the community. If you need rehab care, you should definitely choose The Landing. One suggestion: consider adding deflectors to your air conditioners because the rooms were quite uncomfortable.

"Dark and Uninviting"
When I visited Landing at Watermere, my first thought was that it felt stuffy and dim. It didn't seem inviting. The staff was friendly, but it wasn't quite what we wanted.

"Downgraded Care at Fancy Assisted Living Facility"
My mom has lived here for three years and the care has really dropped. Her room is upstairs and she depends on the staff since she can't move on her own. But the second floor has no nurse, just two aides and one walkie-talkie for them. This leads to her waiting a long time, both day and night, for help with everything from going to the bathroom to getting dressed...Management won't address these problems. They say they only have one walkie-talkie for the entire second floor because someone took the other. The place looks really nice, but I'd advise finding a different place.

"Wonderful Care and Support at This Assisted Living Facility"
I’m really happy with this community and everything they’ve done for us. My father is doing well and getting good care. He’s improving because they take great care of him. The staff is fantastic; they always include me in meetings and keep me updated about my father. The social worker here is wonderful too. She’s very caring and helped us with everything. Overall, it’s been a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this place.

"Great facility, but private bath options are limited in skilled nursing"
This is a nice place. The only problem was in the skilled nursing area where we could only ask for a private bath, not a shared one. My family member wanted more privacy, so this was a bit of an issue. Still, we'd choose this place based on the tour.

"Impressed with Tour, Great Community, Friendly Staff"
I was really impressed with our tour of this community. Everything was great. They welcomed our whole family when we arrived and offered drinks and cookies before the tour. The community looked fantastic, and everything was well-kept. The staff was polite and friendly. The only issue was the location, but it was easy for our family to get to. Overall, I was very impressed with the tour.

"Clean and friendly place worth considering!"
I visited this place while searching for care options for a loved one. The facility was neat and clean, and everyone I met was friendly and professional. We chose a different place, but this one was definitely a strong contender.

"A Great Assisted Living Option!"
It's not exactly like home, but it's really good. I'm grateful to be here. The people who live here are nice, and we have a lot in common. The staff is excellent. The place is clean and quiet, and the food is almost like what we'd have at home. No complaints! I'd say, If you can't live at home, consider The Landings as a top place to live.' Maybe it's great, but home was great!

"Assisted Living Staff Excelling, Transport Issues Need Improvement"
The nurses and aides are really good. They always come quickly and are nice - they really want to help. But it's not good that they don't tell us everything. Many people here can't get on the bus when they want to.

We really enjoy living here. It's the best place since we can't be at home, and we're living better than ever. We eat, sleep, play dominos, and bingo. The food is excellent, and we feel well cared for!

"Mixed Feelings About Southlake Senior Living"
Southlake senior living met all our expectations. Some people might find it positive, while others see it differently. I didn’t take Mom for a tour, and the idea of eating every meal at the Petroleum Club doesn’t appeal to me. Ultimately, my mother chose to stay in her own home.

"Amazing staff and excellent care, with room for improvement"
The staff are fantastic; they go out of their way to make her stay as enjoyable as possible, and the place is very clean. The food is really good probably better than where we were before. While the prices are on the higher side for this area, the services provided are reasonable. They are very attentive and good at communicating; the nurse even texts me back and forth. The team works well together. They have activities, but with fewer people around, they’re not always that fun. The smaller community means there aren’t as many people for her to connect with. Moving in and out could be easier; we used the back door and had to navigate around staff delivering food, which made it take longer than we expected. The room size is smaller than at our old place, but the outside porch is a nice bonus, and she loves sitting out there. Security is great here. Plus, if someone needs to go to the hospital for rehab, they don’t have to leave the building rehab is just one floor up, and they can return to their apartment afterward. Having all of this in one place is really convenient.

"Mom's Care Exceeds Expectations Daughter Thrilled!"
I was worried about my mom moving to a smaller place, but I was totally wrong. She is really pampered and loved here. The care she gets is top-notch. I’m amazed by how well the staff takes care of her. And the food is incredible! I’ve checked out other places, and nothing compares to this food.

"Wonderful staff and activities, but food could use more flavor."
It's really expensive, but if we could afford it, she'd still be there. The staff and residents were wonderful. They had a lot of activities. The food was okay, but I thought the menu could use more spice. They did have some options, though. Overall, the food was good.
