"Quality of Care Issues"
In this review, I noticed that there's only one caregiver upstairs and one downstairs. Considering that most residents on the first floor rarely leave their rooms, having two staff members per shift downstairs would make sense. Unfortunately, when residents press the call buttons, it takes a while to receive assistance. While most staff members are friendly, there have been a couple who clearly dislike their job.

"Memory Care Facility Tour Disappointing, Lacked Vital Information"
We visited Landon Ridge at Sugar Land while looking for Memory Care for our family member. Everything felt nice, but I felt like I didn't get all the information I needed. They didn't give me as much detail as other places, even when I asked for it.

"Staff Not Welcoming Despite Appointment Made, Facility Otherwise Nice"
Landon Ridge is a pretty nice place, but the staff weren't very friendly. When we went for our tour, they didn't seem to know we were coming even though we had set up a time to visit.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Welcoming Atmosphere"
This place wasn't our top pick for a few reasons: 1. It didn't feel as friendly as other places, 2. The person in charge of selling wasn't as involved with the people who live there and the workers, and 3. The workers weren't as varied as we hoped. Also, the building has more than one floor.

"Mixed Impressions at Landon Ridge"
We visited Landon Ridge, a nice and attractive facility, but it's too expensive. Looks can be deceiving; what's outside doesn't always match the inside. Sadly, I didn't see any smiling faces among the residents.

"Loved caregiver, preferred smaller community."
The caregiver who looked after my loved one was fantastic! Landon Ridge was good, but if I had to choose again, I'd prefer a smaller place. Not a negative, just a preference.

"Quality Declines at Assisted Living Facility"
Sadly, the quality of this facility has really dropped over the past year or so. My family member lives here and we've noticed that the management and communication have gotten worse, not to mention the basic care of the residents. We're in the process of looking for another place right now. I wanted to write this review in case it might help other families who are trying to find the best home for their loved ones.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Care and COVID Safety"
Landon Ridge seemed nice at first, with its cleanliness and pleasant appearance. The food was good, and there were activities to enjoy. But if you needed help with daily tasks like using the restroom or getting to meals, they didn't provide it well. They simply didn't have enough staff to give the necessary care in a timely manner. When COVID came, they wouldn't let me visit my mom, even though she was on hospice. I hired private caregivers, but they still wouldn't allow me to see her. And the worst part? The staff inside weren't even wearing masks. The director only allowed one visit before my mom passed, leaving me ten days without seeing her during her final moments. It took two appeals to higher-ups before I could finally spend her last three days by her side. It was a truly heartbreaking experience.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Facility"
Certainly! Here's the revised review in simpler language: ": [Name removed] gave me a great tour. She cared about my mother-in-law and shared helpful info. The dining area was okay, and I liked how they seat residents by function level. It'd be better if there were separate areas for feeding. The activity room looked nice, and the rooms were clean, but I wish they didn't share bathrooms. Overall, I liked it.followed up with a phone call and answered my questions.

"Headline: "Frustrated Resident Lists Landon Ridge Assisted Living's Failures""
I've been at Landon Ridge Assisted Living since September 28, 2018, but I've got to leave because of poor service and bad food. All these months, I've reported these issues again and again, even talked to management personally in my room. Nothing got fixed. 1. There's not enough workers and the ones they've got are mean and don't seem to care. It feels like they think they're doing me a favor. 2. Staff members sneak into my room and swipe drinks from my fridge. I'm the one paying for those. 3. The elevators and front doors are broken. 4. I can't get a clear TV signal because of your messed-up Wi-Fi. 5. When I ask for a bath, they don't give it until 10:00 at night — which wakes me up. 6. I don't always get my medication on time. They didn't give me my evening dose on 2/12/19. 7. They were supposed to test my medication on Monday, 2/11/19. Still waiting. 8. My laundry disappeared. I can't find my fancy, monogrammed towels that came from Neiman Marcus. 9. The food's terrible. I haven't been to the dining room in weeks. Some days, I don't eat unless my family brings me food. 10. No one's cleaned my room for 12 days. 11. Other residents can't get answers about their payment issues, or anything else. 12. No activities on the weekends. 13. It feels like this place just wants our money and doesn't care about providing good service. 14. I took a UTI test and still have not gotten the results. I had to see another doctor in Houston to get treatment. I'm moving out on February 18th. I paid for a bunch of services that I never got.

"Great Place, But Maybe Too Big for Mom"
This place is really nice with lots of things to do. My only worry is that it's pretty big, and it might be too much for my Mom since she's from a small town. But I'm going to bring her back to check it out because I really like it.

"Impressive Assisted Living Facility with Dedicated Staff"
This place really surprised me; it's better than I expected. There have been a few issues, but I'm talking with the management to fix them. The nursing staff seems a bit weak; I had to hire an extra nurse to help my dad for half of the day. Besides that, the staff is better than average, and I'm very happy. I'm really impressed with how all the staff members act. This place isn't just words; they really do what they say. I would suggest this place. It's one of the better places I've seen.

"Great service, some nursing issues, overall pleased with facility."
I'm pleasantly surprised by this place. It's better than I thought. There are a few problems, but I'm talking to the bosses to get them sorted. The nursing team seems a bit weak. I had to hire another nurse to help my dad for part of the day. Besides that, the staff is better than okay, and I'm happy. I'm really impressed by everyone's attitude. This place isn't just talk; they do what they say. I'd suggest this spot. It's one of the best ones I've seen.

This is a really nice place that we liked during our visit. The staff is kind and always ready to answer questions from families. We were impressed by how clean everything was. The food looks good, and there are lots of activities for the residents. We suggest other families check out this place if they’re looking for care for a loved one.

"Brand New Feel"
This place looked really nice from the outside and when we walked in. The person at the front desk wasn't very friendly, but the tour guide was nice. It's a bit pricier than what we wanted, and they charge extra for services. The rooms are small and feel institutional.

"A Great Community with Clean Facilities and Friendly Staff"
We visited this community and noticed they have a good menu, although we didn’t try the food. We saw they offer great activities and enjoyed talking with the staff who answered all our questions. The place is clean both inside and out. We think it’s a good value and the staff provides very nice care.

"Not Quite Perfect: Decent Cleanliness, Sub-Par Meals"
My folks are managing alright here. They've complained about the food though, saying it's sometimes served cold and doesn't offer much choice. On the brighter side, this place is generally tidy.

"Mixed feelings about Sycamore Assisted Living"
This new place looks great and the staff are friendly. They really get to know the residents and try to make them happy. But sometimes they forget to clean up properly, and the activities aren't very organized yet. The dining area is nice though. It's a bit pricey, but overall it's not bad for Sugar Land.

"We Love The Sycamore at Sugar Land"
We really like The Sycamore at Sugar Land. My mother-in-law has trouble seeing, which limits her participation. It would be great if they offered more activities for her. She spends too much time in her room. The staff sometimes give up too easily. Most residents also stay in their rooms too often. I wish the staff would encourage everyone more. The food portions need improvement—they're too small. Unfortunately, she's lost weight, which concerns me. Overall, our experience has been excellent. We're very happy with this facility.
