"Activities Director Shines Amid Staff Turnover and Communication Issues"

The staff changes a lot, so it's hard to keep up. They don't talk enough, either. But there's one person who's really great—the Activities Director. If it weren't for her, I'd give this place a lower rating.

"Friendly but Inadequate Care"

This place doesn't have enough staff even though it's not full. Sometimes there are only three helpers and one person to give medicine at night, even when it's not busy. Recently, they had to ask two people who were supposed to be resting to come in because five others were sick. Just to make sure someone was there at night. The people at the door are nice, and the kitchen staff asks how you are. The assistant in charge is doing her best, but she's really busy. The cook makes delicious food. My mom doesn't eat much, but I tried some and it was really good. The person in charge of activities is great. She tries really hard to get people to join in. She does a lot. It costs a lot of money every month, and I feel like I'm not getting what I paid for because there aren't enough people to take care of my mom. This place doesn't have enough staff to work properly.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Our experience was awful, with bad care and food. Within two months, we had to move my mom out. People always made excuses for things not being done right. I'll complain to the state and others. Since leaving, there's been no communication to help with refunds. If I don't hear back by month's end, I'll take action. I hope they improve for other residents.

"Good care and hard work at Sodalis Oak Hill"

My loved one lives at Sodalis Oak Hill, and so far, everything has been really good for him there. Sodalis just took over this place, which had lost a lot of residents before. Fixing it up has been a bit tough, but the staff are working really hard and paying a lot of attention to everyone. I would definitely suggest Sodalis Oak Hill to others!

"Affordable and nice place with $2k October discount."

We needed a place quickly, and this one had an opening. The monthly cost was affordable without too many sacrifices. The $2k discount for October was a great bonus! It turned out to be a really nice place! I’d recommend it to others.

"Bad Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

My parents live at this facility, and it’s terrible. The staff is severely understaffed, and Spectrum made things even worse. They don’t answer calls promptly, and activities are limited. Look elsewhere!

"Mixed Feelings at Assisted Living Facility"

I feel a bit torn about this place. They don’t have enough staff, but that seems common. They’re trying their hardest, I guess. But I do get let down sometimes. Clothes disappear from laundry often. Yet, I haven’t found a better deal elsewhere. Ownership recently changed, promising no price hikes for 90 days. Let’s wait and see after that. But overall, the staff treats my loved one well. They’re kind and genuinely care. They motivate residents to join activities. I believe it’s the best option for my loved one.

"Great Place with Minor Communication Issue During Ownership Change"

Overall, we’ve been very happy with The Crossing at Oak Hill. When we first arrived, they were going through an ownership change, which could have been explained a bit better. However, they helped us through the process. The meals are fantastic, and the facility is very clean and caring.

"Good care, great food, clean facility, short-staffed memory care."

It’s a good place for my mom, and I like it. We moved her into the memory care, and I’m happy with it. Neighbors with family here are also satisfied. The chef makes really good meals, and there are many activities in memory care. I take my mom out on my days off. The facility is clean, and memory care doesn’t have any unpleasant odors. However, they seem to be short-staffed now; there used to be two people in memory care, and now there’s just one.

"Nice tour, but community too big for our loved one."

Our family had an in-person tour at Court at Round Rock. The tour was nice overall, but the community was just too big for our loved one.

"Sunny Rooms, but Mom Wasn't a Fan"

My mom didn't really like this place, but I thought it was nice because the rooms were bright and sunny.

"Great staff and a positive experience for my mom!"

My mother recently moved into this community, and I'm really happy with how things are going. The staff is what impresses me the most—they're always attentive to her needs and keep in good communication with me. She has no complaints about the tasty meals and enjoys joining in activities with the other residents. I couldn't have picked a better place for her, and I'm very pleased with the experience.
