"“Lost Jewelry and Neglect: Assisted Living Review”"

My family members lived at this place. The workers were temporary and didn’t wear name tags, so we didn’t know who was who. The office staff didn’t pay attention because they were in a different building. Unfortunately, some of my loved one’s jewelry went missing.

I like this place. The director is an LVN. There are 10 ladies total. It has a "homey" atmosphere. Open door policy. Weekly activities like music. Outings and hairdressing included.

"Friendly and Efficient Care with Regular Doctor Visits"

This place is nice and I like it. It's a safe environment with staff available all the time. They always call my mom by her first name, which is really friendly. They don't take long to handle things like prescriptions or appointments. They are quick at getting things done. Meals have a good variety of food, and housekeeping comes three times a week. Laundry is done once a week, and they offer transportation to doctors’ appointments or shopping. They also call if they have any questions or concerns about my mom’s care. A nurse or doctor comes every Wednesday, which I really like. The doctor checks in with the residents and talks to them each time. If I have any questions about her medications, they can be answered then.

"Great Value with Helpful Staff and Activities!"

I chose this place because it had options. It’s not like regular assisted living where you pay for things you don’t need. With housekeeping, meals, and the apartment, it’s a good value. The transition from our paid-off home has been tough, but the staff here is helpful. Any apartment issues are promptly addressed. They’ve improved the food quality with a new chef, and the activities director is doing her best. Despite changes due to Covid, they offer plenty of activities.

"Wonderful place for elderly care."

My mother was at Lewisville Estates for about two years, starting in the independent side and then moving to assisted living. I thought the facilities and the people were great. We couldn't have asked for a better place for her. She passed away at 104, and everyone loved her.

"You’ll be impressed by their long-term, caring staff!"

The staff here are really attentive and caring. It’s a wonderful place for my mom. I feel great knowing she’s looked after by these people in a safe and well-kept place. When you visit, you’ll see many staff members who have worked here for years. That says a lot about how good this facility is.

"Returning to a Great Place"

I liked Lewisville Estates before, so I came back. I enjoy the staff, other residents, and the beauty salon. The activities are fantastic! We also have guest speakers who share great information. A podiatrist visits, so I don’t have to leave. The bus service is great too; they take me to the grocery store and my doctor’s appointments.

Everyone here is super friendly and helpful, and the staff is awesome! The place is always clean thanks to the great cleaning team, and the maintenance crew is fantastic too. I love the Happy Hour and the well-kept grounds. The exercise classes are also a lot of fun.

I've lived here for almost 3 years, and this place meets nearly all the needs for a retirement home. The staff is very caring, and if you have a problem, there's always someone to listen and help fix it. I'm grateful for them as I spend my years here.

"A Perfect Home for My Daddy!"

Lewisville Estates in Lewisville was the first place I visited to find a home for my Daddy. I had never done this before and didn’t know what to expect. After talking with him and touring their assisted living building, I knew this was the right place for my Daddy. He’s the kind of man who never meets a stranger. He’s a WWII Marine Vet, and for years he never spoke about his service. Now, he’s happy to share his stories. This is the best place for him. He’s happy here, seeing his family every day and meeting new people. He’s in the height of his glory! He’s now getting the 24-hour care he needed, which my sisters and brothers couldn’t provide. In our hearts, we know he’s happy at Lewisville Assisted Living. He says he is and loves the food! I truly believe this is a great place for him!

"Great place with caring staff and fun amenities!"

I absolutely loved this place! They are very organized and have lots of fun activities and events. There’s an independent living building and an assisted living building right next to each other. This means my mom could easily move to a higher level of care without leaving the place she knows, with the same staff, food, and activities. Most of the staff have been there for years, which shows they really care about the residents and are dedicated to meeting their needs. Plus, they have great amenities like a movie theater!

"Food Quality Dipping at Assisted Living Facility"

Why's the food getting so bad? I've got a buddy living there, and lately she's been really upset about the food being worse than before. The menu often doesn't match what they actually serve, and they're using canned vegetables way more than fresh ones now. My friend is diabetic and has to be super careful about her sodium intake. So, I bet having more canned veggies is not good for people who need to watch their sodium. Does anyone plan on improving the food quality soon?

"Promising Beginning Dips into Disappointment over Food & Cleaning"

My mom has been living there for about a year, and initially, everything was good. However, recently there have been issues cropping up, primarily with the food. They've employed four different chefs during her year there, and the food quality has dipped each time. Not just the quantity, but the taste and variations too have become poorer. This change is something the residents are unhappy about. My mom doesn't want to shift, but the food problem is getting out of hand now. Besides, they've swapped the cleaning service, leading to more concerns. I'm trying to reach out to the owners to understand what's happening.

"A Friendly, Clean Place with Good Amenities"

I moved here to be closer to my family and grandkids, and so far, this place has been a good fit, though I’m still getting used to it. Most people I’ve met are happy, friendly, and welcoming. I get choices for meals, and while it’s not as hot as I’d like, it’s okay. There are various activities like musical shows, card games, and Friday happy hour. The place looks very clean, and I get weekly housekeeping that includes washing towels and sheets. There’s a free washer and dryer on every floor, and laundry service costs $8 a week.

When my mother moved in, her room was spotless and brand new. The staff was very helpful while we were choosing where she should live. The dining room feels like a 5-star restaurant with many menu choices. The servers are very polite and helpful, and the cleaning staff quickly responds to any requests. The other residents are friendly and include my mother in their activities. They even offer free transportation to Lewisville, Highland Village, and Flower Mound. My mother is adjusting well to her new home at Lewisville Estates.

"Concerns Over Facilities and Hidden Costs at Assisted Living"

The toilets are too low. The kitchen cabinets are damaged and the top ones are placed too high, which is inconvenient and unsafe without a very high stepping tool that my mom shouldn't use. The sink lacks a stopper. My mom thinks the food is just okay. We were told about a van service for errands during our first visit, but we weren't informed that it costs extra. And mom says the beauty salon isn't clean.

We picked Lewisville Estates because they helped us with VA financing and sorting everything out. They asked about my grandma a lot and gave us tips for her adjustment. The place is neat, and they ensure she has all she needs. Grandma's really happy there, especially since she can have her cat with her.

Overall, my experience has been pretty fair with this community. One issue is that often these care facilities give an amazing presentation, but don't always follow through on every promise. I've heard folks grumble about how long it takes for help to arrive when they ring their bell - one man said he waited 15 minutes before he went to find someone. They claimed they would encourage social interactions and give newcomers a guided tour, but that hasn't happened yet. I also wasn't too fond of the activities coordinator - he seems better suited for dealing with kids than older adults. For anyone considering this facility, make sure to confirm any promises the salesperson makes with the facility administrator or activities director.

I have three friends who live here, and I visit a lot. This place is really nice! It's clean, looks good, and everyone is super friendly. They have lots of activities, even a small movie theater! One of my friends helps out there, and another loves the card games. They also have monthly parties. Overall, it's a great place, but a bit pricey.

I initially was optimistic about this place for my mom and dad because they offer 2 bedroom units. However, after digging a little deeper, I was let down by my findings. It appears the management switches up quite frequently and the state has numerous complaints on record. Despite being attractively priced, it seems that the quality matches the cost.

My sister and I went to check out this place. Erin gave us lots of helpful info. She answered all our questions on July 24th. The 2 bedroom setup for 2 people seemed like a good deal. We'll consider keeping it on our list as we figure things out for our parents. The rooms and hallways looked nice.

We're really happy with Lewisville Estates. It's a great place. The facility is clean, well-kept, and looks nice. The layout is perfect for people with memory issues since everything leads to the central common area. It feels like a real community, not just a facility. Everyone is super friendly. "Clean, friendly assisted living with lively dining atmosphere!"

We visited this place while searching for care for our family member. It looked nice and tidy, and everyone on staff was super nice and knew a lot. There's one part for folks who can live on their own and another part for those who need more help. We liked how easy it was to get around the assisted living part because it's all on one floor. But it seemed like most of the people there needed more help than our family member does. We ate a meal in their dining room, and it was delicious! Plus, there were lots of people chatting and having fun.

"Nice facility, but double check for high care suitability"

This was a good-looking facility that we thought would perfect for our loved one, but sadly, things didn't pan out that way. We made it clear that our loved one required a high level of care. They assured us it wasn't an issue and after evaluating him, they said he would fit in just fine. Then, shortly after, it was suddenly 'not a good fit'. We had to relocate him fast which was both stressful and a waste of resources. If I could give any advice, make sure your loved one is the right fit for their care level and don't just take the facility's word for it.

"Mixed Feelings at "Lewisville Estates" Assisted Living Center"

Lewisville Estates assisted living center could be a bit more organized. It appears that my mom moved in amid a big shake-up in the management. The changeover was sudden. One day I was speaking with the old director, and the next, there's a new one. I'm unsure what to think of the new director yet. My mom was supposed to have a medical supply ordered weeks ago. Despite several reminders, the new director hasn't followed up. I was originally promised that a transfer fee would be waived if my mom moves to the independent living section, and she was to be given a designated parking spot. I've paid two months' rent but have not heard anything about either of these things. The place is unarguably clean, and the activities director seems upbeat. They appear to promote active lifestyles for the residents. They seem decent on the activities side. Regarding care, I'm a bit uncertain. They've categorized my mom as needing level 2 care (medication and assistance with showers), but all she's received is the medication, so it seems like I'm paying for services she's not using. The staff is very friendly and treats her well. Overall, I find it tolerable. Is there something better elsewhere? I'm not sure.

"Top Choice Assisted Living Facility"

My neighbor’s mom lives here, and I helped him find it. I visited and really liked everything I saw. I went back recently to see my friend's mom, but she doesn’t use all the services available. Even so, this place was my top choice because of what it offers. That’s why I showed it to my friend. Based on what I’ve seen, I really like this place.

"Living the Good Life"

Living at Lewisville Estates lets me have a more relaxed life. I love my friends here, and the staff is always helpful, from the front office to the food services and maintenance. I've finally found a place with lots of activities, hot meals, and it's affordable. The Activities Director goes above and beyond to keep us healthy and active. I enjoy all the activities, like off-site trips, and the staff even dances with us during events. My family feels good knowing I'm in good hands and living an active life. Moving from my own home of many years to a smaller place was a big decision, but I haven't regretted it once.

I picked Lewisville Estates because it was affordable. The place is well-kept, modern, clean, and nice-looking. The food was another big reason. I had a meal there and checked out their menus, and it was way better than the other places I visited. I saw about three other places. I visit my mom a lot, and everyone there seems really happy. I haven’t heard any complaints from the residents. They all seem to love it there.

At first glance, I thought the two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout was pretty decent. However, there was no outside access available from each apartment, which was a negative. The set dining hours are restrictive as well.

"Nurse Says Mom Doesn't Need Assistance, But She Dislikes Facility"

The main nurse over at the assisted living section took a look at my mom and didn't think she needed assistance. They provide all the things my mom would need like meals, laundry, and cleaning. My mom doesn't need help with things like bathing and dressing herself, and she also manages her own medication as of now. If she ever needs assisted living, she could easily transfer here. But, she doesn't really like this place since it's owned by Royal Estates. She just didn't feel comfortable there.

"Great choice for aging loved ones: affordable, engaging staff, accommodating."

We picked this place because it’s near our house, not expensive, and has some cool stuff like QuietTime that helps my mother-in-law stay comfortable as she gets older. The people who work here are really nice and friendly. The carpet is a bit old, but they have good physical therapy and other things that make up for it. We’re happy with what we chose.
