Long Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care

"Friendly staff but sometimes forgetful during lockdown"
Super friendly staff, but they're not always quick to help. They went on lockdown this past month for Covid and delivered meals to rooms. They "forgot" about our loved one a few times. My loved one was in memory care for just over a week. When they could eat, the staff didn't take care of their needs. We had to ask them to feed our loved one. It was really disappointing.

"Navigating Care Challenges at Assisted Living"
Be realistic about expectations. My family member can’t move around easily, so she needs help with everything in her daily life. Initially, we faced issues with response times and care instructions. However, things have improved over time. To ensure good care, families need to connect with the staff. Keep in mind that my family member’s health issues and mobility needs are more demanding than most residents.

"Nice amenities, fresh, responsive staff."
First impression: very nice community with lots of amenities. It was newer and smelled fresh. Even with staffing issues, the staff has done a good job keeping up with response times for families.

"Expensive, poor communication, needs better care"
I would tell others that the money I pay doesn't match the care they provide. I also think the community doesn't communicate as well as they should.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Working with has been great. She updates me with texts and pictures of my loved one, which I appreciate. However, the management hasn't been as good at keeping me informed about my loved one's care. The facility is nearby and clean, which matters to me a lot. But I've had trouble getting consistent and timely answers from management. They often say they need approval from someone who's not available when I call. Considering all the hassle involved in moving my loved one, I'm not sure if it's worth it. Plus, when my loved one broke their arm, management didn't even call me. I only found out because sent me pictures.

"Care Lacking Inside a Beautiful Assisted Living: A Nurse's Perspective"
I tried for a while to get someone to hear my concerns. I've been a nurse a long time. I've worked a lot with people's health and in places that are like this one. So, hear me when I say: be careful about sending a loved one here. Especially if they can't live on their own easily. They don't have enough workers here to help everyone out. They're always getting new staff too, because people keep leaving. I've even seen a bunch of nurses leave just in the first year they were open. The place looks nice and has lots of things to do. The person in charge of social stuff is cool, always setting up fun things like photo times and craft events for folks who can handle things on their own. But if your family member needs help - be careful! No one really watches the staff. There's been a lot of mistakes with medicine. Medicine goes missing. If you push the call button at night, it takes forever for someone to come. They can't keep enough aides around. On the weekends, there's no one checking on things, no cleaning, and it's almost impossible to find workers. So, yes, the place is beautiful. But if you don't want to clean your room, need help with medicine, or need help going to the bathroom - this place ain't for you.

The facility is really nice! I love the décor and the programs. It’s much better than other similar places around here.

"A Promising Community in Progress"
We visited this place and it was really beautiful. It wasn't open yet. The only staff member there was nice and answered all our questions about the care they will provide when they open. Families should think about checking this place out.
