"Understaffed Facility, Yet Highly Praised"
Stay calm and if you're upset, tell the workers. They don't have enough people working there! A lot of people said it was good.

"Lyndale encourages independence and offers enjoyable outings."
Mom's doing better at Lyndale. They encourage her to be more independent, so she's participating in activities and outings. She's adjusting well.

"Mixed Experience with Dining and Service at Lyndale San Angelo"
Overall, our loved one is happy at Lyndale San Angelo, and we would recommend it to other families. However, there are issues with the meals and dining service. They struggle to keep a chef, which affects the quality of food. Because of her specific diet, our loved one cannot eat the meals provided but still has to pay for them. Additionally, some residents face long waits for meals in the dining hall.

"Needs Improvement: Nice Place, Poor Food and Activities"
The place looks really good, and it’s always clean. The people who work here are super nice and sweet. But, we got a big talk when we first came, and now it feels like none of it was true. We’re not happy with how things are going. They told us the food would be awesome because a real chef made it, but it’s not good at all. They said there would be lots of fun stuff to do here, but there’s hardly anything happening. They really need to make things better.

"Great place, but meals are small."
My Aunt really likes it here. It's a very nice place, and she can have her dog with her, which was really important. There's even an indoor courtyard where she can bring her dog, so she doesn't have to go outside. The staff is very nice, and everyone who takes care of her is easy to talk to. They have a nurse on staff, and the housekeeping cleans the rooms and does the laundry often. They also post a list of activities in the lobby and elevator, like card games and weekly trips to the symphony or shopping. For the holidays, they brought in bell ringers from a nearby church to entertain the residents. We got to eat there with her, but the food was laughable. We paid $7 each for dinner, and they didn't give us much to eat. The food was good, just a very small meal. They had an open house with a buffet at the same time, which might be why the meal was so small. Overall, the place is great and looks very nice inside, even though it's older. I would definitely recommend them.

"New Management, Mixed Feelings at Royal Estates"
My mom’s been at Royal Estates for just over two weeks. She spent four days in the hospital, so she’s pretty new there. We learned the place got sold when we signed up. I went to a meeting for residents’ families, and they did okay answering my questions. Still, it’s too soon to tell if this new company’s good. I’m not super happy with Royal Estates right now because the apartment wasn’t ready. It looked like no one checked or fixed things before my mom moved in. I told the maintenance guy about some problems, but they’re still not fixed. We’re also confused about when my mom’s supposed to get help with cleaning, showers, and laundry. I’m talking to the boss of the place to sort this out fast. I’ll write another review in a month or so, once we’ve settled in and fixed these issues.

The staff here are nice. Some care more than others, but I'm happy with my choice.
