"Affordable facility but lacks adequate care and communication."

My family member isn't with us anymore. The place was okay for the price. However, they didn't take good care of my mom. And talking to the higher-ups was hard.

"Poor care, ignores families, only cares about money."

The place ignores serious issues, doesn't communicate, changes nurses often.

"Good Care, But Room Smells Like Urine"

My loved one lives at Mirabella Assisted Living and Memory Care. Overall, things have been good for her. But, her room smells like urine when we visit. We’re not sure if it’s her laundry or something else, but we’re trying to figure it out.”

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

The place is tidy, and some of the staff pay attention. However, there's been a high turnover in just two months. It does fit my parent's budget.

"Great experience with helpful staff and smooth move-in process"

The leasing and move-in process at Mirabella Living and Memory Care was great. The staff is really helpful, and the housekeeping is even better than when my family member lived at home. Communication is good between my family member and the staff, who are very alert. The move-in went smoothly, and the meals are tasty. We would definitely suggest Mirabella Living and Memory Care to other families.

"Good facility with friendly staff and tasty meals, but needs improvements"

My family member lives at Mirabella Living and Memory Care and things have been going well for her there. The staff is really nice. The food is good when the Chef makes it, but sometimes the desserts are already made and frozen. They're supposed to have a bus for wheelchairs to go shopping, to activities, and to medical appointments, but they haven't had one available since my family member moved in a few months ago. Overall, I would suggest this place considering the cost. The only downside is that the residents feel bored here.

"Friendly staff, good care, tasty meals."

This place is older, but the staff tries their best. The nurses and caregivers are good, and communication with families is helpful. They stay on top of resident care. Meals are tasty.

"Dark and dated facility; not suitable for loved one's needs."

We visited Mirabella Living & Memory Care, and it felt really old and dim. We decided on a different place because it wouldn't have been right for my family member.

"Beautiful Place with Confusing Pricing at Mirabella Living"

I liked Mirabella Living. It was a really beautiful place, and the staff seemed friendly. However, I didn’t like that they had a la carte pricing, which made it hard to figure out the real monthly cost.

"Some rooms felt crowded."

Mirabella Living, an older facility, had somewhat cramped rooms.

"Wonderful Staff and Care Make Mirabella a Top Choice"

A friend of mine who is a chaplain at Baylor suggested I check out A Place for Mom, which then led me to Mirabella. I’d highly recommend it because the staff is really friendly and understands what the residents need. It’s a very comfortable place. We’re really happy we chose Mirabella for our family member. They go out of their way to make her and us happy. When we ask for something, they usually take care of it right away. Honestly, I could see myself living there. The manager, who interviews new residents, deserves an A+. She saved an apartment for us for three days while we were working on convincing our family member to move. The nurse was fantastic, and I can’t praise her enough for how well she took care of us. She was a big reason why we picked Mirabella.

"Nice staff, but only semi-private rooms at this older facility"

Mirabella is one of the older memory care places around here. The staff were all very kind, but they only had semi-private rooms, which wasn’t right for my mom.

We were pleased with the community. My loved one mostly enjoyed the food. The staff were easy to work with for our family.

" Assisted living facility failed to meet basic care standards. "

We had a lot of problems at Mirabella. When we moved my mom in, they didn't have the right paperwork ready, so we had to wait for hours. And even though I filled out forms for her medications, they weren't available when we arrived. She couldn't even get her mailbox key for two weeks! One of the workers told my mom if she couldn't sit up, she needed to go to a nursing home, even though they said they could take care of her needs. Some of the workers were nice, but others wouldn't help because they said my mom was too fragile. They didn't even want to move her potty chair to the toilet properly. The toilets were often clogged, and even when they fixed them, they didn't clean up properly. My mom missed therapy because they said I didn't fill out paperwork, but I had proof I did. And sometimes the morning staff wouldn't even put her shoes on when she needed them for therapy. Overall, Mirabella was not a good place for my mom. If you need a lot of care, I wouldn't recommend it.

"A Great Place for Seniors"

This place is really nice! They have different levels of care like Independent, Assisted, and Memory care. What I liked most was all the fun stuff they offer for residents. When I visited, I saw people enjoying those activities. And for what you get, the price is pretty good too. Overall, it's a top spot for seniors.

"Clean, Attentive Staff; Varied Meals; Recommend Mirabella"

Initially, I really liked where Mirabella is. They have different meals, not just one choice. It's also clean, no bad smells. The staff mostly takes care of my loved one, though sometimes they could be faster. Overall, they do well. I'd suggest Mirabella to others.

"A Family’s Positive Experience"

We visited this place to see if it would be good for my mom. My other family members liked it too. We had some meals there and thought the menu was great for her. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. My mom said it felt like staying in a hotel. We would definitely recommend this place for its excellent care and good value. Families should really think about this place for their loved ones.

"Great care and happy residents at this wonderful community"

This place is fantastic for taking care of people, and the residents look happy. The facility is clean and well-kept. The food options are great, and everyone likes the menu. They offer many fun activities that she enjoys. I love that they have a garden because it makes her feel useful and happy. Seeing her involved in that makes me happy too. We would definitely suggest this place to other families for its care and value.

"Amazing Food and Fun Activities!"

My loved one’s favorite part of the day is dinner time. They have restaurant-quality food with lots of choices. Plus, there’s a fun activity program with different events and popcorn and ice cream socials. The staff are wonderful and always care for my brother’s needs. I’m very happy with this place and highly recommend it.

"Mom's Happy Place"

My mom's here, found a friend. She chats, plays bingo. Food's okay but too many carbs. I visit often, staff's nice, place is clean. Had some issues, staff fixed them. Mom's happy, would suggest it.

"Great care and safety at The Mirabella for your loved one"

I am really happy with The Mirabella. The staff care a lot about the residents and make their safety their top priority. Recently, when I was visiting my mom, one of the staff noticed that the kitchen door was left open after dinner. They quickly closed the door and made sure all the residents were still inside.

"Friendly Staff and Beautiful Setting, but Large Building"

Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful, and it feels like you’re walking into a fancy hotel when you first arrive. I’m really happy with it. The only downside is that the building is pretty big, so it might be tough to get around if you have mobility issues.

"Quick Stay at Mirabella Exposes Poor Quality"

Mirabella isn't a new facility, maybe it was updated a few years back. My dad only stayed there for a few weeks before we decided to move him elsewhere. The folks that work there are really nice but seemed powerless to help us with big issues, like problems with the TV and AC and billing mistakes. When I tried to get in touch with their main office, like their Director told me to, we got jerked around. We lost the $2000 we had to pay to move in and wish the man who showed us around initially hadn't pushed us so much to do it. He was a little too forceful and full of himself, but we thought it was just how salespeople are. We thought the facility seemed okay after a visit and meeting some staff, so we moved my dad in. But it turns out they had a hard time providing some simple things that made my dad happy - like a functioning TV and air conditioning. The food was hit or miss and not always good. We get that cooking for a bunch of people isn't easy, but sometimes it was so bad that everyone in the dining room had something to say about it. We were initially drawn to its decent price and good location but sadly, we quickly realized a hard truth - you really do only get what you pay for!

"Friendly atmosphere, but slow maintenance; food average. Nice place overall."

The fixing stuff takes a long time, but everyone's nice, and it's pretty cool here. Food's okay, not super awesome, but not terrible either. Mostly, it's just the fixing stuff that's the issue.

"Steer Clear of This Assisted Living Nightmare"

My girl went in to look around and a guy greeted her, saying this was where I should be and how much it costs. He said he didn't want to waste our time with a tour. I saw folks who lived there calling for help with nobody coming and food everywhere. My kid couldn't leave soon enough.

"Everything’s going great; happy with the best place we found"

So far, everything is going great, and we are really happy with it. Out of all the places we looked at, this one was the best. It’s clean, and the staff are friendly. We don’t have any complaints. I would definitely give it a high rating.

"Imbalance in quality: Lobby sparkles, rooms disappoint"

I visited this place to check it out for my mom. What you see and what you don't see are just too different. The lobby is superb, a full five stars, but the rooms are a fail, only one star. Where's the middle ground? The money for improvements clearly wasn't used fairly. The two rooms I got to see were just in a sad condition... Going from first-class in the public areas to sub-par in the private living spaces? I was hoping for so much more! If everything is just for show, then what must the services for the residents be like? Now, I don't know what to think.

"Nice place, close to home, but food needs improvement"

The place is nice, and it’s five miles from my house. They have activities, but I can’t rate them because I don’t join in. The food is terrible. For example, the vegetables are limp and look two days old. However, it’s not as bad as the last place she was in. They seem to care about taking care of her; it’s a good place. I found the place through someone’s reference. When I’ve had issues or questions, they’ve been reasonably responsive.

3/5.00 Published 10 years ago

"Liked by loved one, not recommended due to extra charges"

My family member enjoys living there, but I wouldn't suggest it to others. The place should be termed as a facility for self-dependent people. There's a ton of additional costs if there are more needs or care required and they refer you to the hospital for just about anything. On the brighter side, the apartments provided are spacious, it's always clean, and my family member is satisfied even though we're not truly content.

""Facility Changes Rules to Exclude Pets in Shared Rooms""

This place has decided to change its regulations so it can remove the only family a disabled resident has - their therapy cats. Instead of pairing them with a roommate who's okay with cats, they're making it a rule that only those residents who can pay for a single room can have pets. This effectively excludes anyone on Medicaid. They're totally heartless.

"Low Cost Assisted Living Facility Not Worth the Savings"

It's true, you get what you pay for. This assisted living facility was low cost, which seemed like a good deal, but soon proved otherwise. My mother was a resident there for a short while before I had to step in. Thankfully, I avoided their non-refundable $3,000 move-in fee. At first glance, the place looks inviting with its pleasant design. However, don’t be deceived. Once you’re a resident, the service quality dips dramatically. There were multiple occasions where after my mom signaled for help, it was not a trained nurse or aide who attended to her but the receptionist, and only after 20 long minutes! Frequent staff shortages were a constant complaint, and rumor had it that even a nurse left because the patient load was too much for the understaffed facility.

"Upscale Looks, Pricey Amenities: L Westmore Review"

I went to see a new place called L Westmore in North Ft. Worth. It's still being built, but it already looks really fancy and nice. They have a lot of fancy stuff there, but honestly, I probably wouldn't use most of it. Also, it seems like it's pretty expensive.

"**"Amazing Assisted Living!"**"

I think this place is amazing! The staff is easy to talk to, and they recently added a memory care section. We have one family member here, and I'd move another one in if it weren't for family dynamics.

""Underwhelmed By Care and Terrible Food""

My experience with this place wasn't great. Sure, it looks good and they know how to sell it, but if your family member needs any sort of care, they don't handle it well. It seems like they prefer residents who aren't a lot of work. After dealing with our fair share of infections, my family member was asked to leave. Plus, the food was really, really bad.

"Nice place, no 2-bedroom available yet"

Very nice place. There aren't any two-bedroom units available. There’s a waiting list for two-bedrooms with three families on it. They would let my niece and granddad stay in memory care in a companion suite, but if the suite was needed, they would have to move.

"Safe and Caring Place for Mom"

They've been really good to my mom. We feel she's safe here. They take care of her medically and overall it's a nice place. Sometimes they're a bit slow with repairs, but other than that it's great. This is the first place she's been, and it was the best of all the ones I checked out - and I looked at a lot.

"Mirabella: A Top Choice for Seniors in Ft. Worth"

We moved my father from Louisiana to Mirabella. Since then, he's made many friends and enjoys various activities offered there. His apartment is spacious and gets plenty of natural light through the windows. The bathroom is accessible for him, meeting our needs. The staff are all very caring and helpful, checking in on him multiple times a day. Even his doctor can make house calls if necessary. The food is delicious, and the kitchen staff are friendly and open to suggestions. We feel welcome whenever we visit. Mirabella is a great option for both assisted and independent living in Ft. Worth.

"Fantastic care and activities!"

Wow, this place is amazing! It’s like a sign of God’s goodness. I couldn’t be happier with this home; it’s really great. Moving my dad here was a tough choice, and while he values his independence, I’m sure it’s the right place. I stay in touch with both him and the staff, who offer lots of fun activities. They listen to suggestions and have even taken him to his favorite restaurants. Finding this place was a breeze compared to the many options out there; it was like buying a car with all the calls and choices.

"Great place, excellent staff, and well-priced with lots of activities"

I really like it here. The price and everything else made it stand out to me. The staff is amazing definitely a 5 out of 5. For care services, they have 2 nurses or assistants available 24/7. I’ve asked them about some prescriptions, and they’ve been great. The activities are very popular and there are lots of them, but I haven’t joined any yet because I prefer reading to participating.

The folks at Mirabella are super nice, and everyone there seems really happy. It was one of our top picks, but we chose another place because it was cheaper.
