"Facility's False Promises Lead to Neglected, Disappointed Residents."
This facility was terribly disappointing. They promised grand things during my visit but didn't deliver. The place was decently clean, yet mom's clothes were getting lost, with strange clothes appearing. Nobody from their staff even bothered to introduce themselves to me, even with my frequent visits. It seemed they were more interested in their phones or gossips. What upset me the most was seeing my mom bruised and injured from falls, multiple times, and I wasn't even informed! And when I asked for details, I got nothing. They don't seem to record any accidents. Mom would often be left sitting in a dirty diaper. Despite my instructions to give her Muralax just once a week, they kept giving it daily. Mealtime was fine but residents were made to sit at the dining tables long before the food came. For a while, there were no activities at all. They had a daily event calendar but nothing ever happened. The only "activity" mom ever got was sitting in front of the TV, often without her glasses and in a soiled diaper. They promised individual schedules with bathroom and walking breaks, field trips, and participation in activities. None of these happened. There were no personalized learning plans or activities, no records of accidents or medication, no daily reports, and no communication whatsoever. I had a terrible experience here and I won't recommend this place to anyone.

"Great Tour and Community at Cariad North Brook"
Our family took a tour of Cariad at North Brook, and we thought the community and the tour were really good.

"Caring Community with Personalized Attention"
This place has been really great! Everyone is so friendly here. It's a small community, and the staff knows everyone's name. They seem to know what each person needs. My mom is pretty independent, but she got sick for a short time and the staff handled it well. They checked on her often, took her temperature a lot, and just watched her to make sure she felt okay and had what she needed. I couldn't be there, so I'm glad she was well taken care of during that time. The staff here is really amazing, we couldn't ask for better. Mom is happy and that's what's most important. One thing I noticed is that since Mom has been here, we've seen two or three people who came for Assisted Living move to Memory Care. I saw the staff notice what those people needed, check them out, and move them to Memory Care so they could get what they needed. It was great to see them give that extra care. One thing I'd say is that there could be a couple of benches outside for people to sit on. There's a big Soccer Field area back there, and the residents love watching the kids play Soccer. They stand at the back door a lot, just watching the kids play. There are benches in the front, but I think the residents would really like having some out back! I would totally tell my family and friends to come here.

"Homey Feel with Friendly Staff, but Food Needs Improvement"
We chose Cariad at North Brook mainly because it felt more like home and wasn’t too commercial. It’s a smaller place, so the care seems more personal. The staff is really nice and quick to respond to emails. Sometimes they seem really busy when you talk to them. My dad does say the food isn’t very varied and sometimes is served cold, so they could work on that. Overall, I’d definitely recommend them to others.

"A comfortable, encouraging environment for quiet parents."
My parents are doing well at North Brook Place. They're mostly quiet, but the staff encourages them to join activities. The food is mostly good. There were some complaints when the oven broke, but it's resolved now. We chose North Brook Place because it's relaxed and comfortable for my parents.

"Pleasant Visit to Assisted Living; Not Quite Right for Dad"
I visited this place for my dad. It looks nice. The people who work there were really nice and told us a lot of information. Everything I saw looked like it was taken care of well. But, I didn't think it was the right place for my dad. The tour was pleasant.
