"Comfort Comes First"
We visited Laurel Glen at Stephenville recently, and it was a good tour. Making the decision was tough, but I think either place would have suited my dad. Ultimately, though, I felt he would be a bit more comfortable .

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
When we visited, the place had new owners. They promised renovations soon, but the rooms weren't suitable for walkers and were far from everything. Plus, it cost more than a similar facility.

"Reliable Care with Warm Staff; Management Could Improve"
I would choose Oakwood over other options in the area because my loved one received excellent care. The aides and nurses were always friendly and responsive. They were very compassionate and patient with her through the challenges of dementia. They were also good at encouraging her to eat, groom, and do physical therapy. Oakwood maintained cleanliness diligently. The care was generally good, but turnover among staff caused some difficulties. The director and one nurse weren't very engaging, and we saw multiple changes in leadership. However, the aides were amazing. Although my loved one didn't participate in many activities, she enjoyed the ones she did join.

"Wonderful Atmosphere and Friendly Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
I really liked the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The place is bright and airy. The rooms feel like home and are spacious. Safety is clearly a priority. Residents are involved in activities. The outdoor areas are great. There are planned outings and celebrations. They also provide transportation to appointments. The staff is very nice.

"The community offers convenience, good food, and friendly staff."
I was impressed by the community layout. My mom doesn't have to walk far to reach the dining hall. The food is good, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Her unit fits her well, providing enough space for comfortable living. She's making friends and participating in activities.

"A Wonderful Community for Living"
I have great communication with the staff here. They are kind, observant, and amazing. They allow pets and have a beautiful, enclosed courtyard. There's also a big front porch. The food and activities director are awesome. I would recommend this place.

"Friendly Community with a Homie Feeling"
This community is very nice. Everyone is super friendly. A new manager will be starting soon. The food needs a little help, maybe some more seasonings. They have a lot of activities for everyone. I would recommend this place for good assisted living for loved ones. It feels like home.

"Mom Is Happy"
Things are going pretty well for my mom at Oakwood. She's adjusted nicely. The community is clean and well-kept, no issues there. The staff has been really helpful and kind to her, always willing to assist. I've had dinner with her a few times, and the food is okay—not the best, but okay. She seems happy here and even found herself a boyfriend, which is nice to see. If you're in the area, I recommend checking out this community; it's very nice.

"Awesome place with great staff and clean facilities"
This place is awesome. The staff is super nice and they keep everything really clean. It’s a great deal, and they are very caring. They don’t have an activity director right now, so activities are a bit slow, but that’s the only issue. We are very happy here.
