"Activities Good, Assistance Could Be Faster"
We chose this community because it's more affordable than other places. The activities are good, but they could improve by providing faster assistance.

"Not the right fit despite friendly staff"
Parsons House Austin is close to me, so I toured it. A friend mentioned it’s not fancy, and it did feel like a typical old folks home. When you walk in, you’re right in the living area, which looked small, old, and a bit sad. The people were really nice, but it wasn’t the right fit.

"Disappointing Experience at Parsons House Assisted Living"
Parsons House wasn't impressive. It felt like a nursing home. No central AC made it stuffy. Everything was an extra cost, making the base price seem misleading.

"Friendly staff but facility is old and lacks outdoor space"
We picked Parsons House Independent and Assisted Living because my parents had a friend who lived there, so they felt more at ease. Everyone here is really friendly. The place is a bit old and not in the best shape. Since it's an older building, the elevators are not very good, so it might not be suitable for people who are scared of elevators or have trouble moving around. There isn’t much outdoor space just a nice front porch. They do have a small cage with finches, so if you like birds, you can enjoy watching them. Overall, I would recommend it.

"Chose for location, diverse amenities, and clean, pretty halls."
The staff changed a lot, and they didn't talk to each other between shifts. That made things hard for residents and families. We picked this place because it's close to home, has friendly neighbors, diverse amenities, and clean, pretty halls.
