"Disappointing Experience at The Pavilion Assisted Living Facility"
We moved my mom from The Pavilion recently. When we moved her out, we found three pairs of her pants missing, which were bought new within the past 8 months. The director promised to look into it, then said they'd reimburse me (I have the receipts). Later, they said they couldn't reimburse because Mom no longer had an account, then said they couldn't because of the receipts. During the 17 months, Mom was in Valeo (Memory Care), they had 4 directors and were always understaffed. Their problems shouldn't excuse poor care, maintenance (leaking HVAC unit in more than one room), and resident support. I wouldn't recommend The Pavilion under this ownership and leadership. We've found a better facility with caring staff, low turnover, and good management.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Resident Handling Skills"
This place got 3 stars because they aren't good at handling tough residents. They mostly just show exercise videos in the mornings and do fun stuff every now and then. It's okay in terms of cost if they still give you the same rate for your whole life.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We didn't like that our family member got approved to move in, but then, after a medical checkup by Pavillon and just a few weeks later, we were told they might have to leave because they needed more help. It was really frustrating after all the effort and money we put into getting them settled.

"Caring staff, pretty place, limited COVID visits."
Overall, it's really pretty here, and I think they really do care for the residents. The only thing is there is a bit of a lack of communication between the staff and with the families. They're still limiting visits due to COVID, and you have to make an appointment for a 45-minute visit where they bring your loved one out to you.

"Medication Issue at Pavilion at Great Hills, But Overall Good"
The Pavilion at Great Hills in Austin, TX is a clean and friendly facility with a helpful staff. While we’ve had mostly good experiences, there was one major issue with medication management. The medication aide didn’t supervise my mom taking her meds as we paid extra for. We found out this was happening for over a week when we discovered unused pills hidden in her drawers and couch. It took a couple of emails and a visit to the Executive Director to fix the problem and get our money back. We learned that while issues can happen in a large facility, we hope this was just a one-time mistake.

"A Pleasant Tour with Helpful Staff"
I took a nice tour of this community for my mom's needs. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The place looked clean, and the staff answered our questions. Although it wasn't the right fit for my mother, we had a good experience.

"Happy residents, kind staff, and great food."
Mom loves living here; she's so happy and content. Her room suits her well, and she's already made some friends. She thinks all the residents are happy and friendly. Mom thinks the world of the staff, and so do we. They are kind, compassionate, and very attentive. I believe mom loves the food, especially the cinnamon rolls. This has been such a positive experience, and I'm thrilled everything is working out. We would recommend this community.

"Assisted Living Community Shows Improvement, Room for Recommendation"
My mom's still settling in here. It was rocky at first. The head of caregivers and meds was away. But since she's back, things are better. The staff is good, always helpful and kind. The place is clean, they keep it nice. They've got fun stuff to do and meals are good. I'm not sure yet if I'd suggest it, but it's getting better.

"Helpful staff, kind and knowledgeable; location not right for mom."
I recently talked to this community about a possible living arrangement for my mother. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions in detail. He was very kind and knowledgeable. It turned out not to be the right location for my mom, but I was grateful for their help.
