"Friendly Staff and Good Value for Assisted Living"

The staff are really nice and treat my Mom and our family well. They are sometimes short-handed on weekends, but they still meet her needs. The place is a bit older, but they keep it clean. The move-in process went smoothly with help from the staff. The meals are okay. They were a lot worse and more expensive at her previous place. They have a lot of activities, but my Mom doesn’t join most of them. I would recommend this place, especially for the price.

"Great Activities but Difficult Door Access"

They do a lot of activities with the residents, including outings. They have a great activities coordinator and head nurse who both text well. Mom is happy there. The only thing I don't like is that the door isn't always locked, and when it is, it's hard to get someone to let you in.

"Assisted Living Review: Comfortable, with Room for Improvement"

The staff is really nice. I feel good knowing he's well taken care of. I like that they have their own little apartments. I wish he'd spend more time outside his room to be more social and active. He thinks the food could be better.

"Caring Staff and Family Atmosphere at Assisted Living Facility"

The staff here are super caring. They go out of their way to make sure residents get what they need. They always talk to them in the halls and dining room. The Director and nurses even work weekends or overnight if needed to care for the residents. It's clean, and residents have snacks, coffee, tea, and sometimes flavored waters. Family is encouraged to visit, have lunch, and join family night. The more we visited, the more comfortable we felt, realizing my mom isn't just another patient. All residents are treated like family. We were impressed with the Director and lead nurse. We met the housekeeper who checks on my mom daily. We were encouraged to walk around and meet people, including the event planner and a resident who is like the mayor. The only issue is the dining room cooking, but they are training two new cooks who seem to be doing well.

"Food Quality Needs Improvement"

The staff is nice, but the food needs work. It’s the main issue, and we end up eating out.

"Confident in Safety, But Staffing an Issue"

I feel confident my mom is safe and gets help when she needs it. My experience has been good, not great, but good. The biggest issue is the staffing, which is probably common in many places. I chose Redbud because of the size, cost, and I liked the previous director, but she left before mom moved in. Mom also said this was her favorite of the two we visited.

"Comfortable living with friendly community in well-designed facility."

The rooms were a good size and the building layout was pleasant. Overall, it's been mostly positive. I chose this community because of the people.

"Mixed Feelings About Redbud Place Tour Experience"

We toured Redbud Place in person. Overall, we found the community and tour nice, but it didn't quite suit our loved one's needs.

"Knowledgeable and compassionate staff; caregivers eager to please; recommendable for families."

The new Administrator, once a Nurse, is knowledgeable and caring. Caregivers are helpful and kind, making Redbud Place recommendable.

"Great activities and happy residents at Redbud Place"

Redbud Place has great social activities like painting, bingo, and puzzles. They also take residents on outings to places like Walmart, Target, and Dollar Tree. From our experience, we would recommend Redbud Place to other families. Our loved one seems very happy there.

"Facility Needs Improvement"

The place is really old and needs fixing, even though they charge a lot. It's hard to get updates unless you bug the staff and wait for them to call you back. They seem all over the place, maybe because they keep changing staff.

"Friendly Staff, Affordable Price, but Needs Improvements"

Sometimes they're short-handed on weekends, so you have to wait outside a long time to get in to visit. There aren't enough people to man the door. Residents usually get only one bath a week, and the food could be better. But the staff is friendly. I would recommend it because of the price.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Communication wasn't great from the leasing agent before moving my Dad in. He wasn't expected on move-in day, but they welcomed him right away. Dad recently lost his wife and has some dementia challenges. We knew he might be unhappy with the new environment, schedules, and people, but he's starting to settle in. The staff is good about reminding him of meal times and checking on him around the clock. However, the frequent staff changes are unsettling for Dad and our family since each new person needs to learn about his challenges and how to work with him. We're also concerned about the meals. Some dishes, like pizza and salad, don't agree with Dad. On the bright side, his apartment is kept clean, the trash is taken out daily, and his laundry is washed, dried overnight, and returned folded.

"Redbud: Poor hygiene standards and terrible food."

Redbud lacks any professional cleaning and the meals are pretty awful.

"Redbud Offers Abundant Activities for Residents"

As far as we know, the food could be better. We've heard complaints. It seems the menu planning happens at the main office and they send the menus to all their locations across the country. So sometimes the meals don't match up with what's on the menu. But Redbud has lots of fun activities, which is why we picked it. There's plenty for the residents to do.
