"Good staff, right place for brother."

The kitchen and housekeeping staff are nice. I haven't talked much to the other staff. The front desk person left unexpectedly, but it's still the right place for my brother.

"Mixed feelings about management, but staff are caring and hardworking"

The people who serve meals and clean are great, they work hard and care. But the bosses might not always tell the truth.

"Renaissance Assisted Living: Money Over Care"

Even though I had planned to move into the Renaissance, my breast cancer diagnosis changed everything. I decided to recover at home instead. When I asked for a refund, they refused and even charged me extra. This expensive mistake has shown me that money matters more than care at the Renaissance. I won't recommend it to anyone.

"Mixed Quality and Activities at Holiday Renaissance"

The Holiday Renaissance Austin place is working on getting better overall. The food is okay sometimes but not so good at other times. It would be better if they had more activities led by the Activity Director instead of expecting residents to do everything.

"Residents' Friendliness Shines Despite Poor Food Quality"

The food they make for us here is really bad, but I really like how friendly everyone is. Right now, I'm not sure if I would tell other families to choose Holiday Renaissance-Austin until they make the food better.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Some Communication and Cleaning Improvements"

My family member lives at Holiday Renaissance - Austin. At first, it took a while to get messages across, but now it's a bit quicker. He's been there for just over two months and only saw the cleaning crew once. I'm not sure what they're supposed to do for him. Overall, I think this place is good and would tell others about it. When we visited, we liked that people in the dining hall seemed happy there, which helped us decide.

"Holiday Corporate Assisted Living Needs Improvement, Say Residents"

They told me that the new team from Holiday Corporate doesn't answer calls for help as quickly. They also seem more interested in making money than helping us. They've reduced how much they spend on food for meals in the dining room. They both said they haven't experienced other places, but they think it could be better. They've heard of worse places, though.

"Assisted Living Review: Loved Independence, Not Right for Us"

We visited this place and thought it was cool how they let people do their own thing, but it just didn't fit our needs.

"Quiet, nice setting; needs less salty food, better activities."

Holiday Renaissance is a very quiet community, which our loved one really likes. There are a lot of trees and nature around the building, and her apartment is a nice size, which is a positive. For improvements, the food could use less salt, as it's a common complaint among residents. The activities have a nice variety, but they could be better planned and include more encouragement.

"Assisted Living Review: Mixed Feelings About Holiday Renaissance"

I visited Holiday Renaissance twice. It's close to home, which I liked. However, it's old, a bit dirty, and has a tiny dining area. On our second visit with my husband, our first tour guide had already left. The second guide talked too much. The place looked dingy, and one apartment had bugs. People seemed happy, but it wasn't clean enough for my dad.

"Great Location and Grounds, But Needs Better Housekeeping and Activities"

The staff was short on housekeepers, so my loved one didn’t get regular cleaning. Also, there weren’t many fun activities for active residents. On the bright side, the grounds are private, quiet, and beautiful. I chose this place mainly because of its location, and also because the apartment size and location were just right.

"Informative and Welcoming Tour"

The visit to this place was really nice. They showed us around and gave us all the information I needed.

"Charming assisted living with friendly staff and full kitchens."

This place is really nice! It's like a big house where older folks can live by themselves or get help if they need it. The apartments are pretty big and everyone there is super nice, including the staff and the other people who live there. You get your own kitchen, too! They also give you this thing called a Lively"device, kind of like Life Alert, to help you if you need it. The price depends on how much help you need, but it seems reasonable. We're definitely thinking about living here.

"Beautiful Place, But Renovation Makes it Doubtful Right Now"

They're in the middle of a big remodel right now. The place is really pretty and the outdoor area is stunning. Can't really say it's the best choice until it's all done.

"Great place for independent living with a top buffet!"

My dad and I stayed here for a year, and it’s a fantastic place for someone who wants to live independently and enjoys walking. The grounds and the entrance are lovely. A lot of the people we met are still there, even after we left three years ago when my dad needed extra care. They have the best buffet ever!

"One Place Not Good For Mom, Needs Redecorating"

I visited several places and I didn't really like this one. It was designed for folks who can live on their own, and my mother needs more assistance than that. Plus, the place itself seemed old and sad, not very bright. I think it could definitely use some remodeling.

"Nice Community Visit"

The tour was really nice, but it just wasn't the right fit for us.

"Great care and activities, but menu needs improvement"

I like the care my mom gets from the staff here. They pay attention to her needs and keep the place clean and well-kept. However, the menu could use some improvement because there are too many sandwiches on the weekends. They encourage my mom to join in activities with other residents, which is nice. Sometimes, they could use more staff. Overall, I would recommend this place for taking care of a loved one.

"**A Pleasant Choice**"

Mom isn't a big fan of the food, but I've tried it, and it's okay. The staff are friendly and supportive. She hasn't joined any activities yet. The community is clean and nestled among trees. I'd suggest this place.

"Nice but lacks warmth, tiny rooms."

The Renaissance staff was nice but not as friendly. Isolated lunch seating, small rooms.

"Nice and Clean Place, Enjoyable Tour"

I visited this place for my mom and her requirements. My visit was nice. The place looked tidy, and neat. I only met one individual, but they were nice and affable. It was a pleasing visit and the tour went smoothly.

"A Brief Stay"

My mom stayed here briefly. Everything was good, and the staff were helpful. She felt comfortable, and they assisted with resources and cleaning her apartment. Unfortunately, she couldn’t participate in yoga, salon services, or community events.

"Assisted Living Needs More Rooms!"

We had a nice tour of Renaissance-Austin. The community is well-maintained, and the apartment we saw was pleasant. However, they only provide one wing for assisted living, and preference is given to those in independent living. It would be better if they had more rooms available for assisted living.

"Taste Changed, but Clean and Safe Community!"

The food at Renaissance-Austin was tasty at first, but lately, it's not as good. It would be great if they could make it better. The place is always clean and everything is well organized. I feel like my mother-in-law is safe there. She's been enjoying the activities they have. I think I would tell my family and friends about this place.

"“Smooth Transition for Mom!”"

Mom’s transition to Renaissance Austin is going well. We’re happy with the community and how they’ve handled the move. They provide various activities and entertainment for residents, and the meals are satisfactory.

"Very Satisfied with Community and Support"

Everything is going great at this community. I really like it here; it's a wonderful place. The staff is very nice and always ready to help. There are lots of activities to choose from, and the food is excellent. Overall, I’m happy with the community and everything they’ve done for me.

"Mixed Experience: Mom's New Home Needs Finishing Touches"

My mom just moved into a really nice and clean apartment. It took them a bit too long to set up the cable that they promised, and we're still waiting for her name plates. Most of the staff are nice and helpful, though.

"Father Thriving and Happy at Renaissance"

My father has been doing great since moving to the Renaissance. I’m really thankful because he seems to enjoy everything there. The building is a bit older than some other places, but the staff is amazing—very kind and always ready to help. They have nurses on-site just in case something happens. My husband and I have had dinner with him a few times, and the food is excellent. Overall, I’m very happy with this place and would definitely recommend it.

"Wonderful Staff and Smooth Transition for My Mother-in-Law!"

My mother-in-law recently moved into this community, and it's been a fantastic experience. She’s 92 and lives in the Independent Living area. The staff is very friendly, and the food is great! The place is always clean, and when we had a plumbing issue, the staff fixed it quickly. They’ve really worked hard to make the transition smooth. Overall, I have NO complaints.

"Super Helpful"

The staff has been really helpful during my loved one’s transition. The food is great, and the planned activities are enjoyable. Overall, it’s a positive experience.

"Comfortable and Welcoming Assisted Living: Highly Recommended"

My dad's been at the Renaissance for a month. When we toured, he kept saying how comfy he felt there. Barbara and Mary are amazing. They really pay attention to everyone and everything. When we needed stuff fixed, it got done fast. Dad loves all the things he can do there. The people, both staff and residents, are super nice. I totally suggest the Renaissance!

"Welcoming Community with Good Program and Entertainment"

This place is nice! They have cool stuff to do and fun shows. I've been here a bit, and it's great. Everyone's friendly. It's clean enough, they tidy up once a week. The food's alright. Overall, it's pretty good.

"Liked Living Here, But Rent Hiked With No Extras"

We really liked staying here. There were plenty of brain-challenging activities and the buffet was an added perk. But, they raised our yearly cost by $3100 within a year without giving us any extra amenities. It seems they want the residents to haggle. It's sad we have to move now.

"Staff and locale impressive, atmosphere not pleasing"

We visited this location when figuring out some choices for a family member. The people working here really made an impression on me, they were super nice and did their jobs well. The building and the outdoor area were really pretty. But the overall vibe of the place didn't feel right. It felt like a traditional 'old folks home', which I didn't believe would be the best place for my family member.

"Aged facility falls short despite good location, nice outdoor area."

The building is 27 years old and the rooms look like they have not been renovated since it was built. One of the hallways had a bad smell and there were flies in the dining room. The nurse is friendly, and the outdoor area is nicely kept up. But based on those issues, I don't think this facility will be a good fit. On the plus side, its location is good. Perhaps by August, some improvement might be done as it's really too old currently.

"Wonderful place with great food and beautiful views"

We love it here! There are lots of activities, but I haven't joined any yet because I have trouble getting around. Every day, there are plenty of things to do. The food is great with a salad, an entrée, and a small dessert. We have a two-bedroom apartment with a living room, kitchen, and a little front yard. Rent covers everything except phone and internet. The people here are very nice and handle any issues quickly. If you’re interested, contact Pat—she’s wonderful and will show you around. We enjoy a beautiful view with trees and see deer every morning. The community is horseshoe-shaped with a courtyard where we walk our dog. It’s wonderful.

"Feeling Great About Papa's New Home and New Friends!"

We don’t worry about Papa’s care anymore. The Renaissance made me feel like part of the family too. I enjoy the food, fun activities, and new friends we’re making.

"So Far, So Good"

My dad has been at the Renaissance for just a few weeks. The staff and other residents are super friendly and welcoming. The shared spaces are always clean and inviting. The food is usually pretty good, and residents can eat as much as they'd like. Overall, things are going well.

"Happy Residents and Varied Meals at Assisted Living Facility"

Pat gave us a tour of the place, inside and out. Everyone we saw seemed really happy. And the lunch they served had a good mix of different foods.

"“Older Building, Bright and Friendly”"

Today, I visited the first assisted living facility. The building is older but has been refurbished. It’s bright and friendly, and out of the three I visited, I liked this one the best.

"Lush Surroundings but Unimpressive Food at Recently Acquired Facility"

Eight building complex situated in a beautiful tree-filled area, set back from the main street. The place is 25 years old and was recently bought by Holiday. Only got to see two types of rooms, one was under construction though. We did have lunch there, which was ordinary. They just had two main dishes, neither of which appealed to us. They operate on a full meal plan, which doesn't work for us. The place was completely full and didn't seem to have any upcoming vacancies. There were 32 assisted living units on-site.

"This is my top pick; planning to move soon."

This is my top pick. I’m meeting with financial advisors now. I hope to make moving plans soon if everything goes well. I liked the room layout and the services they offer.

"Pretty Grounds and Great Food, But Missing Some Features"

The grounds are pretty amazing with live deer walking around. The apartment is really nice. The food is great and the chef knows what he's doing and is really nice. The price is okay. It is missing some features.
