Rock Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care

"Decent Facility, but Food and Staffing Could Improve"
My mother-in-law had to move into the assisted living place, even though she didn't really want to. Her room looked pretty good, and so did the hallways and where everyone eats. But she wasn't happy with the meals there. They told us a chef would make fancy meals, but it was just regular food. The nurses were sweet and tried their best even though there weren't enough of them. In the end, we decided to bring her back home with someone to take care of her all the time. She stayed at home for a month before she died.

"Disappointing Experience at Rock Ridge Assisted Living Facility"
We moved my dad here thinking it was great. Turns out, everything was not as promised. The place looks nice, and his caregivers were kind and loving, but we were let down by the director, activities, food, and lack of response to our concerns. The director was never available, and even after trying multiple times to get help and talking to corporate, nothing changed. Eventually, we gave up and moved him to another assisted living in Rockwall. What a difference! He's much happier now, and so are we. We don't recommend Rock Ridge. Too many problems that the administration doesn't care about.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
We keep having to ask for the same things to be fixed again and again, and they still aren't done. They do a pretty good job of keeping the indoors clean. Most of the staff is nice. The quality of care services depends on who is working. Our loved one isn't a huge fan of the meals. When it comes to activities, they could offer more. They're not cheap, but not the most expensive in the area. The facility looks nice, but it seems like they need more staff. It took my mom a while to get comfortable there, but she's doing well now.

"Not So Pleasant Memory Care Unit"
It seemed pleasant when you walked in initially. However, the memory care unit was separate, and there was an unpleasant smell. It felt like a closed-off area.

"We Explored This Community"
We toured this community, and the staff was friendly. They answered our questions, but the rooms were small and the layout felt odd. It didn’t quite fit for us, although it seemed clean.

"Closer to home."
I enjoyed the community tour. The staff answered care questions, and we liked the menu and activities for my father. We wanted to be closer. I recommend this community to other families.

"“My Visit To The Community”"
This place didn’t feel as cozy as the one we picked. It looked clean, and the people we met were friendly.

"Active and friendly, not right fit for mom's personality. Nice staff."
This place was really good, but it just wasn't right for my mom. It's a busy place with lots going on. The folks we met when we visited were really nice and they helped us out.

"Great Community, But Uncomfortable Location"
I really liked this place, it was one of my favorites. The people who worked there were nice and friendly. They told me everything I needed to know and answered my questions. This building is pretty new, so it looked really clean and fresh. But it's on a busy street, and I didn't feel safe with that. Overall, it's a great place, but the location worries me.

"Close To Family, Easy To Monitor Situation"
We faced some problems at a different place, and we felt unsure about choosing another one. After solving the issue at the first place, we thought we should give this one a shot. It's near to our family's place; close enough to visit often and monitor the situation.

"Facility Unprepared for Tough Behavior in Memory Care Patients"
We were thinking about putting my family member in this facility since they claim to specialize in memory care. But the moment they realized she had hard-to-handle behaviors linked to her dementia or Alzheimer’s, they quickly shut us out. They appear to only want those who are docile and easy to care for in terms of memory issues. But not everyone with these conditions is like that.
