"Assisted Living Nightmare"
Avoid this facility—terrible issues, staff shortages, and downhill decline.

"Location Shines, but Everything Else Falls Flat"
Wow, this place isn't good at all! The staff keeps changing, and the food is just awful pizza and chili served on paper plates. They need a better menu and more safety. Plus, they never pick up the phone. The only good thing? The location.

"Facility Lacks Personal Touch"
Our family took an in-person tour, and our guide was super helpful, professional, and ready. They did a great job following safety rules and testing everyone. But the facility wasn't nice—it felt like renting a room without any personal touch.

"Friendly and Helpful Staff; Worthwhile Experience for Families"
The staff at this assisted living facility is really helpful and willing to do whatever they can to assist our loved one. They've gone out of their way to make sure our loved one feels comfortable. We've heard that the meals and dining service are decent, and for what we're getting, we feel it's worth the cost. Based on our experience, we would suggest this community to other families.

"Nice facility with friendly staff and spacious studio apartments"
The facility was nice with a hill country feel and a covered patio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The studio apartment was a good size with lots of storage and space for family pictures or personal items. It even had a built-in bench in the walk-in shower.

"A Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff I interacted with were really nice. They recently got a new community director, so I tried to be understanding while he settled in. Maybe things have improved since then. The staff were helpful and seemed to genuinely care. However, when we dropped off our loved one, I wasn't impressed. We had to bring everything, even a shower curtain and toilet paper. Her room had dirty sheets with dog hair, which they fixed quickly. The room felt dusty and not clean. They claimed to do laundry every few days, but I found dirty clothes in her closet. Given her dementia, they should have been more attentive. I couldn't visit much due to Covid, so I'm unsure about the meals. Also, she needed more water, but I only saw small glasses. Despite this, the maintenance worker was fantastic. He set up her TV and even got her a recliner. The community's aesthetics, especially the outside view, were lovely.

"Comfortable Country-Style Home with Spacious Rooms and Good Food"
Sodalis Garden Ridge feels like a country house with woods nearby, reminding us of our loved one's home. The rooms are big and have lots of storage. The meals are tasty and enjoyable.

"Safe, comfortable, responsive staff, average food, non-judgmental."
It’s a safe place with responsive staff and comfortable rooms. They will move you to a new room if there are any issues. The food is average. They provided a safe, comfortable place for my mother-in-law to smoke. The staff is very non-judgmental and helpful.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Staff Excellence and Engagement"
The managers and nurses are great. Thank you. They believe in honesty and keeping people involved. They have a daily schedule for activities, but sometimes it doesn't happen. This makes me wonder about their promise of active living and honesty. I am thankful for the caregivers who interact with my mom!

"Friendly staff and good meals, but laundry needs improvement"
The staff are very friendly and helpful with everything. The kitchen staff always give us nice meals and try to make what we like. Most of the residents are friendly too. However, the laundry service could be better. They hang up our clothes with the hangers we provide.

"A Perfect Fit for Mom"
This place is just right for my mom. It's not big, which suits her well. She's settled in nicely and enjoys the staff and other people who live here. A bigger place wouldn't have been good for her. She feels like she belongs here and calls it "home." Mom is well cared for and she feels loved.

I've lived at Sodalis for three years, and the care I get here is the absolute best. I would tell anyone to choose Sodalis.

"Good Vibes"
Sodalis Garden Ridge was our second pick for a place for our loved one. It seemed nice and cozy. The atmosphere and the people there gave me good feelings. But we went with a different community because it's closer to our family.

"Religion"
Sodalis Garden Ridge was a pleasant and tidy community that we visited. The staff was super friendly and knew a lot, answering all our questions. However, the religious focus didn’t match my dad’s preferences.

"Main floor might be better for my mom than the memory unit"
The staff gave us a great tour of the community. They were super friendly and knew a lot. However, it seemed like the memory unit might not be the best fit for my mom. I’d rather she be on the main floor where she could hang out with the other residents.

"Good Community, Not the Right Fit"
I have no complaints about how things went for my loved one at this community. The staff were on time for our appointment and answered all my questions in detail. I thought they had a nice floor plan with lots of great amenities for all the residents. It just wasn't the right fit for us in the end, but I would recommend it to anyone.

"Check it out! Great for folks, with occasional staff turnover."
This place was pretty nice when my parents stayed here. The person who organized activities was awesome until she retired. She made sure everyone joined in and enjoyed themselves. However, they changed staff quite a bit, especially on weekends, so sometimes it was tough to get stuff done. But overall, it's worth considering.

"Close to home, but lacks needed memory care services"
I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to my home. However, they don't offer memory care, and the nearest one that does (NB) is too far for daily visits.

"Comfortable Community with Excellent Staff"
This place feels like home. It's clean, staff is nice. But, rooms might be small for some. Activities and food are good. I'd recommend it for families.

"Amazing Care and Comfort for My Loved One!"
The entire staff was amazing. The housekeeping team kept my mom's room clean and made sure she felt at home. The nurses were great too; they checked on her often and made sure all her needs were taken care of.

"Cozy Memory Care: Sodalis New Braunfels Delights Families"
We couldn't put my dad at Sodalis in Garden Ridge since it's just assisted living. They recommended their memory care in New Braunfels, which turned out perfect for him. Sodalis Elder Living in New Braunfels is small and comfortable. There are two houses with 32 residents altogether, and the rooms are just right for those who might get lost or confused. The staff is nice and pays attention. My dad has been at Sodalis Elder Living for a month now, and even though he's going through changes, he's adjusting well.
