"Seek Better Care: A Sonoma House Warning"
My wife stayed at Sonoma House memory care. Eventually, I moved her elsewhere because I felt her care quality declined, especially after January 2023. In December, she fell in her room and wasn't found promptly. She hit her head and lost quite a bit of blood, ending up in the ER. Staff turnover is a major issue at Sonoma House. My advice: explore other options. Look for a place with separate cleaning and cooking staff so caregivers can focus on residents. Ask about regular care updates. I realized Sonoma House wasn't right for my wife. Lesson learned: do more research before choosing. Now she's in a facility where I receive daily updates on her well-being.

"Struggles with Assisted Living"
The assisted living home was always clean, with friendly staff. But they didn’t treat my dad as an individual. The meal times weren’t flexible, and the food was just plain sandwiches without any nutrition. The dementia care staff wasn’t always available. We placed Dad there, hoping he’d adjust in 2-3 weeks. But after no contact during that time, he felt abandoned. We brought him home, missing his grandchild’s wedding.

"Assisted living facility lacks nurse, unable to meet medical needs."
The place didn't have a nurse, so they couldn't help my family member with their health needs.

"Impressive facility but promises not fully met, varies by house."
We picked this place because it looked great when we first visited. They told us a lot of things that didn't happen. I've talked to other people whose family members are here, and they've had the same experience. I think the person who advertises this place tells people what they want to hear. The house where my loved one stays is really great, but each house has different experiences.

"Great Visit to Sonoma House Assisted Living"
My visit to Sonoma House Assisted Living was great. The place was really nice and clean. Everyone on the staff was super friendly, and I really liked how the layout made it feel like home. The reason I chose a different place is because I wanted one that only focuses on memory care. Sonoma House offers both assisted living and memory care, which was the only reason I didn't pick it. Otherwise, it was one of my top choices.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living: Dad's Transition Challenges and Welcoming Staff"
My dad's still getting used to the senior life here. The staff cheer him on to join activities and trips. They're mostly friendly and make him feel at home. The food's alright, but he misses homemade meals.
